We are ecstatic about our new kitchen/apartment. We underwent a gut renovation of our 700 sqft apartment focusing on the open floor plan concept. In Manhattan every square inch matters and our goal was to maximum the space and have a fabulous kitchen as the focal point. Our previous kitchen was the size of a very small walk in closet, that was dark, crowded (only one person at a time); there was only one drawer, 3 small upper cabinets, and a corner carousel. Not to mention we literally had to balance on one foot to open the dishwasher... this was not an ideal kitchen. Thankfully, with Yoram Zioni's vision and recommendations we increased our kitchen size and tripled our storage space. Yoram recommended integrating the appliances into the beautiful cabinetry and relocating the refrigerator to the opposite wall thus giving us more counter area which would incorporate counter seating as well. With Yoram's help, we maximized every inch of space configuring cabinets to add an additional storage cabinet and minimize all unused corners. Yoram was very easy to work with and always available to ask questions and provide recommendations where needed. We were pleasantly surprised when our kitchen arrived a couple weeks ahead of schedule and Yoram was able to expedite the scheduling of the installation in order for us to have our kitchen installed by the Thanksgiving holiday. The Leicht installers were punctual, professional and detail orientated. They took their time to ensure everything was installed properly and fully functional. We absolutely love our new kitchen and highly recommend and endorse Leicht kitchen and more specifically kitchen designer, Yoram Zioni! He is fabulous and we can't thank him enough! read more

I recently worked with Ceylan (Zehir) Dickerson on my kitchen renovation and really enjoyed working with her. From start to finish, Ceylan was a total professional and made me feel very comfortable with the process. She answered any questions l had and spent a lot of time scoping out my project and suggesting concepts before I had even committed to working with Leicht. I have never worked with a designer before, but would do so in a heartbeat if they were as helpful, talented, knowledgeable, trustworthy and fun as Ceylan. I really felt like we were working as a team as she understood both my budget and aesthetic and helped me to accomplish my vision of a beautifully designed modern beach-themed kitchen. Though the Nobilia line that I chose was not completely customizable, Ceylan went out of her way to creatively implement the product to maximize my small kitchen space (I live in a studio apartment) as well as advise on smaller details including countertop materials, appliances, paint colors, backsplash tile, as well as non-kitchen items including my apartment flooring, rugs and even deal spots to hang my artwork! Typical of any renovation, there were a few minor glitches, but Ceylan ultimately resolved these with minor inconvenience to me and no impact to the overall project. I appreciated that she was honest, upfront and worked with me on a solution. I'm extremely happy with my gorgeous Nobilia kitchen and am grateful to Ceylan for her expertise, design eye and patience throughout the process, particularly as it was my first renovation. I recently had a kitchen installed by Leicht and both the product and service were fantastic. I started off looking at the more basic kitchen cabinet companies like Ikea and found that I could not get the finish I was looking for as well as some design features like handleless and integrated panels. I looked at a number of German kitchen companies who were all very good and offered a high level of service but I decided on Leicht and would recommend them for a number of reasons: - They had the material closest to what I was looking for and have a wide range of finishes - Michala, the designer was excellent and was able to give me a quote and rendering quickly. It seemed to be a much bigger effort for the other companies to do a rendering and they generally wanted a deposit to do this. - Michala also took a lot of time with me to walk through all the details and to customize shelves and vanities that I added to my kitchen order - Leicht has various price options - Leicht is open on weekends and has 3 New York showrooms. Most of the German companies are only open from Monday to Friday. - The installer, Paul, was very accommodating and readily made any modifications I asked for. - While there were one or two issues that I identified, these were quickly resolved - The after sales service is very good and any remaining issues are being finalized quickly - The kitchen looks great and is very close to what my architect rendered. - While the kitchen was not cheap, I think it is competitively priced compared to peers I strongly recommend Leicht and would definitely use them again. read more

We absolutely made the right choice in choosing Leicht. To begin the process, we attended one of their kitchen design classes, which was very informative and a lot of fun. We met Michala, our awesome designer, who made one on-site visit then designed a fabulous kitchen for us in a very short amount of time. She knew exactly what we wanted from a functional and aesthetic standpoint. Having done numerous reno projects in the past, we were hesitant about the actually installation expecting the worst. We planned the reno while we were away in the Caribbean on a family vacation. Three days into the vacation, we received an email: "your kitchen is installed." We were flabbergasted. When we returned, we were greeted with our beautiful new kitchen. The materials, fittings and interiors are of the highest quality. Everything worked perfectly and was executed with Germanic precision. The installation exceeded our expectations. (We met one of our installers who took the utmost pride in his work.) We had a few delays toward the end of our project but they were minor and due to mistakes by outside vendors. Michala stood by us the entire process to make sure that the smallest details were handled. We would recommend Leicht without the slightest reservation to anyone searching for a new kitchen. read more

When my husband and I were ready to redo our kitchen, we started to go to various showrooms and Leicht was one of them. The first person we met there was Ceylan and she immediately understood what we wanted and the space that we were dealing with. She was the only one out of all the other showrooms who for our next meeting had designs to show us and took the time to really explain her design and thought process. We loved what she came up with and signed with Leicht to do our kitchen and even our bathroom. She utilized the space, came up with creative ideas and was on hand every step of the way. I would email her at 3 am with a worry and she would get back to me and calm my concerns. She also helped us explore options with tile, counter top, fixtures, and lighting. I would ask her decorating ideas and she was always eager to give an opinion and I always loved her choices. The craftsmanship of the material that Leicht uses is really beautiful and the installation was done pretty fast and perfect to the original design. I have to say, I was skeptical at first, but I just had my new Leicht kitchen installed and I can't rave enough about the experience and most especially the outcome! Yes, these kitchens are PRICEY. But having done my last kitchen w/IKEA, it's like going from a golf cart to a Mercedes Benz. Yoram, in the NYC showroom on the UWS helped me -- came and measured twice with his team and walked me through several design options, sketched out in 3-D. He helped me pick finishes and narrow in on which style cabinetry would be best. He directed me to a wonderful and VERY well-priced supplier for all of my appliances (AJ Madison). And much to my surprise my kitchen was delivered weeks early from overseas -- and installation began. Again, a COMPLETELY different experience from IKEA. The Leicht install team was impeccible, clean, knowledgable and detail oriented. Rather than racing through, they took their time and made sure everything was done right. And boy oh boy does it show! I would reccommend anyone to Leicht. Your kitchen will be so beautiful (and functional) that you'll never want to leave it! read more

I hired Leicht to renovated the kitchen in the home I purchased. I moved from the city to LI and wanted a sophisticated, sexy, modern, functional chef's kitchen, planning to cook lots of great meals for family and friends. I worked with Polina who was always reachable, timely, professional, a great designer, and always kept my needs in mind. Leicht only allows their own installs which at first I thought was strange until I met Honza, Rudolf, Tony, and Paul. My experience was excellent from start to finish. Our designer, Michala, was professional, polite, creative and respectful of our budget. The design plan incorporated all that we wanted and made excellent, creative use of all space. This was a gut kitchen renovation taking months and Michala answered every email and phone call quickly with detailed information. She made site visits as needed and took care of every little issue that came up. The kitchen was put together quickly by a master carpenter, Marvin. If I had been shown a photo of the completed project I never would have believed it! The final kitchen is a dream. I worked with Ceylan at Leicht and had a great experience with her as a designer. She was very patient and helpful in guiding the design while paying attention to my budget. She has beautiful taste and I am thrilled every time I enter my kitchen! I would just warn anyone that is looking for a quick turn around, as the cabinets are manufactured in Germany and it takes at least 3 months once the order is placed.
