My daughter has a gluten allergy, so I spoke with someone at the front about their gluten-free precautions. They were able to reassure me that they use a separate toaster, prepare her food separately, and change their gloves. That was such great news and immediately made me feel much more comfortable. My daughter ordered the Four Cheese Italian Toast, while we also tried the smoked salmon toast and avocado toast. The smoked salmon toast was our favorite of the three. The Italian toast was good, although not quite as impressive as the others. I think the jam ended up making it a bit too sweet for a savory toast. We also got juices for the kids, and I had a cold brew that was really good. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and I'm so happy to have another place in the area that can accommodate our gluten-free girl! It makes such a difference to have a restaurant that takes gluten allergies seriously and makes you feel comfortable dining there as a family. We'll definitely be back!

The other two employees immediately shouted it was for an inside customer. Since the 99-cent edible lime straw comes with the smoothie, I decided to use it rather than the regular straw also provided. In a test kitchen environment, the edible straw could have worked. In the real world, it had problems. The smoothie tasted great through the lime-flavored straw. The problem started when I had to reposition the straw. As I was drinking the smoothie through the edible straw, the smoothie reacted with the straw and caused it to be sticky similar to a lozenge. I ended up using a napkin to prevent my fingers getting stickier.
