Our Grandson has been in Angel Learning center for almost three years and is now in pre-school…read more Yes it's expensive and yes they are pretty quick to dismiss kids who they feel are too vaggressive for the safety of other children BUT they do a very job creating a safe environment for kids to grow. Security is top notch also. About the staff, a very refreshingly posive vibe --- a special shout out to Ms. Tana and Naomi in 105 for getting him more interested in learning and developing project skills.

I have no idea why parents are still enrolling their children in this daycare. The staff and…read moremanagement here are awful. I had two of my children in this daycare. The 2 year old class was the worst and had the most trouble. They were always out of ratio and the kids were running around like crazy people. No learning or organization. They were leaving the kids in the same diaper all day. I picked my son up and he literally had a line of dried-up poop going down his leg. One day I got a letter from the Director saying they were kicking my son out. There was no explanation as to why. I went to the daycare the next day to discuss the situation. When I finally tracked down the Director who had been dodging me the entire day. She told me that she was putting him out because he had 2 potty accidents where they had to clean the room and it was an inconvenience for the teachers. My son is 2 and was potty training. The teachers would not take him to the potty so....what were they expecting was going to happen? They were negligent. None of the teachers told me about the accidents ever. I was just hearing about it that day. I asked those teachers every single day how my children did that day and if there is anything I should know. They never said anything was wrong. Always told me everything was fine. So, imagine my surprise. The director had to retract he letter to kick him out because the teacher didn't follow the proper protocol. They were supposed to notify me of the issue in writing first, which they didn't. If the issue continued, then they had grounds for dismissal. Since this was so poorly handled, I pulled both of my kids out of there. I was concerned that they would be mistreated even further. Their Richmond Hill location was shut down by the city because they were not running background checks!! Fortunately, when that happened, my kids had already been enrolled somewhere else for a month. This group of daycares are terrible. Do not take your children there. One last thing. Your kids will get hurt there constantly and people will act like they know absolutely nothing about it. They try to blame you and say it happened at your house when it clearly didn't. You dropped them off and they were fine. You pick them up in the evening and they are all busted up. Now how did that happen at home? They think we are stupid. Like I said before. Don't leave your kids here.

Please note, this used to be an amazing daycare. Mrs. Govan and Mrs. Brittany were wonderful to…read morework with, and we trusted our children in their care. Unfortunately, after they both moved on to bigger and better things, the quality of care at Avant declined drastically once Wanda became involved in daily operations. Both of my children were expelled, with the daycare claiming they couldn't handle my son's behavior -- but many of those issues were created by how they treated him. He was often isolated, bribed with staff's personal electronics without our permission, and even placed with staff's older children (who weren't employees) as playmates. His teacher seemed disengaged, sometimes wearing headphones, and the classroom lacked structure or meaningful teaching. When we asked to see video footage after they reported a "bad day," the footage conveniently disappeared. Instead of setting healthy boundaries, they relied on tablets and then blamed us for his behavior. The owner expelled him mid-day, ignoring her own handbook procedures. At his new school, he is thriving. With patient teachers and clear, positive boundaries, he has adjusted beautifully. This confirms what we suspected all along: the problem was not our child, but the lack of professionalism and structure in this daycare. Parents deserve to know this before enrolling their kids.
