This business closed but reopened under new management since a little earlier this year. The owner and the cashier are very friendly and recognise their customers after only a couple of visits. The food is fresh and tasty, made in house, with a variety ranging from salads, wraps, and sandwiches to soups, springrolls, samosas, and some new additions such as noodle bowls and cucumber dill salmon. They also sell a variety of vegan desserts (cakes, cookies, muffins), sparkling beverages, sodas, and health drinks like kombucha and bai. Additionally, they sell a wide array of spices, teas, some coffee, and local treats like jarred honey and jams. They have a very well maintained Facebook page that they update a weekly menu on along with the specials they do Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Good coffee, good tea, and good food. They also have a variety of spices. The service is good and the staff and owner are friendly. Hanging out in the courtyard with some friends is relaxing. The turkey with Gouda sandwich was honestly a really great sandwich. The tortellini salad was a nice combo of cheese, broccoli, nuts, and cranberries. Everything tasted fresh and made with care. They only offer outdoor seating but it was surprisingly comfortable under the shade. read more

This is by far my favorite little shop in Orangeburg. The atmosphere and service are spectacular. The tea is delicious, and the food is amazing!! During this trip to Tea Thyme I enjoyed the awesome turkey with smoked Gouda and apple walnut mayo sandwich! Yum, yum, yum! I also enjoyed the Italian pasta salad which was full of flavor. I was here for several hours, so later I enjoyed the vanilla almond bar with some more delicious tea. If you live in Orangeburg or are just visiting this is the place for fabulous food, amazing tea, and a wonderful assortment of tea-themed gear for your kitchen. Great stop for vegetarians and vegans! Food is pre-made and they do rotate their menu so sometimes all items are not available. Food was delicious though. The desserts are even better. It is not often you get vegan desserts. I had the brownie and my husband had the hummingbird cake! Both were fantastic! (I even bought a second brownie.) The store is super cute. not enough can be said about this place. They have mostly tea and spices, but their sandwiches are delicious. I haven't tried their other menu items (soups, bakery, salads) but I hear great things. Grab and go type food place with a wonderful outdoor courtyard to relax and eat. The salads, soup (Tues and Thurs only) and sandwiches are tremendously fresh and delicious. What is available changes daily and includes vegan and vegetarian options every day. The coffee was good too. Was traveling for business from out of town and wish they were closer to home as I would go often. Chicken curry on a croissant deserves a special mention. This is probably the best thing Orangeburg has to offer. I tell everyone I know about this place! My favorite-favorite is the curried sweet potato salad. And I love the curried chicken salad on a croissant. (My mouth is watering.) Top that off with some hot chai and I'm a happy girl. There are millions of spices, and for good prices. The owners are quick to chat with you about which spices are for what. I love that they have recipe cards to suggest how to use the spices. They are continually working to upgrade and improve. This place is amazing ! Delicious healthy, organic food without nitrates or chemicals . I've had the gouda turkey sandwich, the turkey sandwich with cranberry mayo and spinach, and the turkey with pesto ... I also love their pastas, chi tea, and beverage options . Prices are extremely low for what you get in return !!!! I've literally been three times in the past 3 weeks !!!! It's so nice to have something healthy and delicious without paying an arm and a leg! Also check out their seasonings and healthy teas ! Their teas are imported so there's nothing like it ! You have to love healthy LEGIT tea because some brands that call themselves "tea" aren't actually pure tea. It's great to have this option in Orangeburg !!!
