I remember a few years ago when a walk through Bethnal Green would guarantee stumbling past all sorts of pound shops, cheap chicken shops and an abundance of off licences. The place has progressed in leaps and bounds since then, and even though the pound shops and so on are still there, it is shops like tea thyme that make my journey through the area much more pleasurable.
I happened to stumble across it last week, it hasn't been long since it opened but my God, what a beautiful shop! it is the sort of place you walk into out of curiosity, and come out of with an bounty of things that you simply do not need, yet really really want, in fact I liked it so much that i signed up to yelp specially to write the review
Filled with trinkets, jewellery stands, beautiful photo frames and an assortment of other quirky items such as a house phone built into a little red phone box, and an ipod dock in the shape of a helmet.
The shop floor is split into three parts, with the middle being a lovely tea shop with cakes and coffee to die for, and the far end of the shop being a florist.
A great concept and perfectly executed in its design read more
