Poor customer service experience. I brought my bag with manufacture defects to have the warranty…read morehonored within the 1-year timeframe. I was informed my bag would not be accepted because it was "well loved." Staff commented that it was "dirty" and "overstuffed." They informed me they could not honor the warranty without sending pictures to headquarters. The defective areas were not wear spots. It is where the piping and exterior finish material come together, which are not points of tension. The fabric was likely cut too short in the manufacturing process which allowed it to pull through the stitching and fray along the edge. The bag was in the footwell of my vehicle and got dirty with the normal happenings of a family ski trip, and took a quick wipe to return to its normal condition, not relevant to the manufacturing defect. Upon clarification, staff confirmed not all warranty claims need to be confirmed with HQ, just the ones they decide to send to HQ. The manager was contacted by phone and approved the warranty exchange only after I pressed the imposed verification policy, which seemed excessive.

Went in there to get my bindings mounted on my skis and to casually look for a pair of boots. They…read morewere quick at helping me out and getting my skis mounted ASAP. I thought I would have to come pick them up another day, but they had them mounted within an hour and a half. While waiting I started looking at ski boots and the guys/girls there were a huge amount of help. Listened to what I had to say, what I was looking for, and gave me a number of options. While I was trying out sets of boots they said was a good fit, they also helped out my girlfriend even though she admitted she wasn't going to buy anything that day. They listened to what she wanted and told her not only about which boots they had in store that matched that description, but also about other boots they didn't have in store that would be great for her (and which shops in the area had them). Overall it was a sweet experience and I'll definitely be going back there for ski gear (or any other gear for that matter). Cheers to some sweet service

I checked out the turquoise jewelry, the Canada-made objects, and the deer/moose leather shoes. I bought a pair of deer/moose leather ballet slippers. They run a size big (I wear size 10, so I bought a 9) because they will stretch! My friend bought an animal pelt. They sell lots of animal furs, and some of them cannot leave Canada. The customer service is great. Check it out if you're in town!

I immediately found Rocky Bear unique when I entered to a familiar (and original) Rolling Stones tune. The guy running the place was also very informative and fun to chat with. There's a good selection of local stuff here, of which I purchased a cool bear coffee cup for Gayle. As we had a train to catch (Via Canadian heading to Vancouver), we didn't have enough time to do this place justice. I'm not sure there will be a next time for us in this part of the Canadian Rockies, but if there is.....
