My wife and I shopped at this store last week. We're American, so perhaps we didn't understand Canadian practices...we purchased some items, most of which we liked. I bought one item on an impulse, despite the fact that it was mass produced from a mold. I had second thoughts about it the next day -- well before twenty-four hours had passed -- and decided to return it. I didn't bother to look at the receipt when I bought the piece -- a mass produced totem pole -- but when I went back to the store to return it, I noticed then that it said that exchanges were permitted within fourteen days of the purchase. Although the staff were understanding and tried to accomodate me, management's (unstated, unposted) policy is that no refunds were allowed. So caveat emptor -- BEWARE -- Americans, especially, that there will be no refunds once you buy an item. That being said, the staff went out its way to assist us when we made the original purchase -- two of which we kept and that we very much like -- and couldn't have been more helpful. Perhaps this is a Canadian practice with which we were unaware, but if so, it certainly wasn't posted anywhere, nor was it communicated to us. read more
