Great place to get work done or meet for a tea date. The pastries are the only thing lacking at this place.

Splendid little pastries to couple with some very rich teas. Becoming a big fan of the milky teas

He also had a jamon y queso croissant. My coffee was delicious and service was efficient. Highly recommend over chains.

We came for breakfast and had an overall great experience with friendly service and good food! La Resistencia offers a little bit of everything, but by far my favorite is their breakfast menu. They have a kickass egg menu that is served with hollandaise sauce *mouth watering-ly good* and toast. You can choose between vegetarian options like the fried onions and tomatoes (English breakfast style) or spinach and cheese to the meat eater bacon, ham or even meatballs! The best part is that their eggs are free-range and hormone-free! Besides their great egg breakfast, they have a good selection of teas as well as quality coffee - a perfect pairing to your breakfast. Although I haven't tried it, I saw they have what look to be delicious hamburgers and sandwiches plus a unique daily soup option. The sandwiches and hamburgers that were being served around us looked very tasty so I will definitely be coming back to take my partner here and confirm if the looks stack up to the taste. Since La Resistencia is located in the popular and very chic Drugstore gallery, we finished our breakfast and decided to "walk it off" by exploring the unique shops with local artesian designs and products.

This idyllic cafe, located in the center of the bohemian barrio, Recoleta, is exactly something you…read morewould find in a fairy tale (that is, if fairy tales were written about cafes...) Leertè, is a book themed cafe where, from the details in their patio, to their menu and even the bill, you can tell a lot of thought has gone into the decoration and presentation of this pleasant cafe. Books surround their walls, and they offer them all free of the 19% book tax. It is hip with quality teas of various flavors and aromas. I recommend the mango tea. Their coffee, although with much fewer options, is still tasty with a dark rich espresso base. The only reason I took a star away was for their service. Although once we were talking with the waitress they were nice and helpful (our waitress went through the extensive tea list explaining about the different flavors, and types of tea) however, it was really hard for them to come to the table and take our order. When it was time to get the check we ended up going to the cash register since the waitresses were too busy to even notice we were trying to get their attention. There, we talked with the owner, a sweet older woman who was very friendly and helpful. We even ended up buying a couple of slices of cake to go! They offer daily lunch and once specials that are very reasonably priced. Each item on their menu is named with a book or fairytale name (even their WIFI password). Depending on the time of day, I recommend ordering one of their sandwiches (prices range from 1.600-4.700) along with one of their teas with the tea pot. You can end your visit with a happy ending with one of their homemade pies and cakes - they even have ice cream to add on top of one of their kuchens - yum! Tips: they make their own cakes there, if you want a cake for a birthday you can order with 24 hours in advance. You can also buy the teas. They give it to you in a pretty glass jar. When you come back, if you come with the jar you get a discount. Great place to work! WIFI is good and ambiance is relaxed and quiet.
