I've gone here twice and I'm definitely going to become a regular here. It's such an amazing vibe to either go there with friends or family and drink some tea talk and play a card game or something, and an amazing place for me to study.

    FRESH tea.

I live in Ankeny, but visit the Tea Cellar as often as possible when in Cedar Falls. Have tried several kinds of teas, and am glad they carry an ample supply of decaf teas. Just a neat, clean place to hang out.

Though I've only stopped in once, I loved my visit to the Tea Cellar. The staff member was super friendly and helped me pick out and figure out how to make iced tea at home, and the interior was super cozy and friendly. I'm looking forward to making more purchases here when I'm downtown. STUFF TO KNOW: -Expect to wait 3-7 minutes (depending on which tea you order!) for your tea to be brewed. -Tea Cellar does iced and hot versions of their teas. They have to-go cups and for-there cups. -Tea Cellar brews tea to drink and enjoy. They also sell their tea varieties in various sizes (from 1 ounce to 5 ounces) as well as tea accessories including cups, tea pots, infusers, pitchers, and more. -There's a small, 6-8 person table with chairs that can be booked in advance for a larger party. There's a blanket divider to keep this table a bit more private from the rest of the area. I was talking to the staff member, and she mentioned that it gets rented often for Mother/Daughter tea parties and things of that nature! -There's a Customer Loyalty card. Ten teas, and your 11th is free. PROS: -The staff member I talked to, Olivia, was super friendly in addition to being super helpful. She was great at making conversation, and she was happy to answer my questions (and let me take photos around the business). She also was happy to advise me and help me pick out particular items to try making some of their iced teas at home. Amazing customer service! -I was surprised by how open and welcoming Tea Cellar felt. I mean, it's a business in a basement - but it doesn't FEEL like it's in a basement. They've done a fantastic job of setting up and decorating in a way that helps things feel cozy and welcoming instead of dark and dreary. -They use adorable tea glasses and plates to serve up their tea. Instead of going with a full matching set, each little tea cup is unique, and it's pretty adorable. -Wild Cherry tea actually tastes like wild cherry! I think I'll take them up on their offer for a bit of sugar added to the brew next time, but it was particularly cherry-licious with a deep pink color. It was a lovely iced drink to sip on with the warmer temperatures. CONS: -I feel awkward going into Basket of Daisies (another business) in order to get to the stairwell to go down to Tea Cellar. I wish it had its own storefront.

Very excited to be the first to review this place, stumbled upon it the other day and today I am here with my fam. My wife, son, and myself shared a chai ginger tea latte, and a brownie for about $5. Atmosphere i would call a bit hip and rustic. Gorgeous piece of wood for their front cash register area, low key patio chair with wooden table top for customers and wooden crates for retail. They have free wifi. They have been open for 2 weeks! From Nov 19th. Check them out! Welcoming low key place. :)

Update: They just moved to a brand new location on State Street! Come check them out.

This is one of my favorite places to hang out, read and drink tea. They always say that you need to find a place where you can relax. The Tea Cellar is a very relaxing environment where I have met many people who truly love tea and the community. I love making a trip here most Saturdays as a way to relax at the end of a busy week with classes, organizations, and work. The employees definitely make this place feel like home! I would highly suggest that you check it out.

They don't require masks from patrons and staff. It's a city wide mandate and it's just hygienic.

Oh. My. GOODNESS! This place is full of charm. We dined here for lunch today and I was so excited…read moreabout our experience that I had to review it ASAP to get the word out. Our town is very fortunate enough to have these sisters back together in business. They have only been open for about 3 weeks now and are already popular. This is such a lovely place to spend time with your girlfriends, sisters, mothers, grandmothers as it just oozes everything fun and vibrant about women. The décor is vibrant, whimsical and as the name suggests, bohemian. You can't help but smile when you walk into the historical home (please read their website about the history). They have a limited food menu, but there really isn't a need for anything larger. They have perfected 4 sandwiches with croissants, homemade breads and wonderfully thick slices of meat. The condiments are the standard and your taste buds will be happy for it. They have a wonderful selection of teas as well as other beverages and a couple specialty drinks on their menu. Accompanying the sandwiches are 3 side choices and it's a hard choice. The sides themselves, put together, would be a fun meal. To end it all, they have already taken feedback from customers and made dessert bites that are perfect. Today's special was a pineapple and cherry dessert served in a wine glass. This place is perfect for special occasions, small events, ladies lunch and of course - treat yourself! I for one can't wait to take my mother here. They are currently open Thursday - Saturday 10am to 3pm by reservation only. This is mainly due to the limited parking.

100% recommended. If…read moreyou live in the Cedar Valley and haven't been to Panache yet, let this be a sign that this needs to change. The word "hidden gem" gets thrown around a lot, but Panache truly is a hidden gem; I mean that without any exaggeration. We went in for the Deluxe Afternoon Tea; they offer lower tier experiences too, but for a first visit we wanted the full thing. Full disclosure: I am not a tea person. However, the teas at Panache were so good, that I actually purchased a container before we left. There are over 30 flavors of tea, ranging from the most popular flavors to exotic flavors I have never even heard of. The best part? Their teas actually taste like the name of the flavor; not just some vaguely flavored water that many of us are so accustomed to. The food here is delicious, presented in such an elegant manner, and is far more filling than I expected. The service is the kind you don't have to think about; water refilled, teapots topped off, and being tended to before any of us even noticed that they were getting low. We never had to ask for a thing. The music was at exactly the right volume, the space was fancy, and we were relaxed the entire time. This is a family-owned business, and I say that literally; each person working here is related to one-another. Out of every restaurant I've been to in the area, including places that are portrayed as far fancier and more expensive, I genuinely believe that Panache puts more heart into what they do than anyone else, and you can not only see it, but you can also taste it. The only thing that made me sad, is that we were the only table there. A place this good should not have this problem. If you've never tried their individual pies either, do yourself a favor and order some. We've ordered them separately before and they're crafted to a level that is so hard to explain until you try one; perfect amount of filling, flavor, and flakiness. Pro: The service is unmatched. Treated like royalty the entire time, and it never felt performative; just genuine warmth and attentiveness. Combined with the food, the teas, and the atmosphere, this is one of the best all-around experiences I've had at any restaurant. Con: Truly nothing. This place is as perfect as it gets. Tip: You can reserve online through their website; quick and easy. If you have dietary restrictions such as gluten, you can reach out to them and they may be able to accommodate you.

Can confirm this place is wonderful and the staff are incredible- very friendly and encouraged us…read moreto stay as long as we could to fully enjoy our experience. It was refreshing to relax as opposed to the usual turning over tables! Highly recommend!
