I've ridden the bus a few times, and the experience is okay. Something to do in Atlnata. I will say, the first impression the bus was an hour and a half late and the food was cold, and then we only had 30 minutes to rush through the ride. The second time was better, we went for a Masquerade . The food and seasonal treats were tasty as well! 3rd experience it was pouring rain, and rain actually came through the top above our seat so we were a little wet during the ride. The 4th and final time I went with my daughter and that was the best experience we had. The bus was on time, the menu had changed a bit and was delicious. Also our MC was with both hilarious and entertaining. She brought all the vibes on the bus, and engaged us all. Even let my daughter sing. It was a great time. Our experience has progressively gotten better, and I would recommend it to others. I'd say don't let one bad experience deter you. It was one horribly managed tour with such subpar service and food provided. First off they arrived 1.5 hours late and kept pushing the time by 30 mins each time. Highly unprofessional to send one way text at 3 PM saying we will be late by 30 mins. Then again at 3:30 the same text. And when they showed up at 4 the prep was pathetic, with no silverware and napkins on the table, cupcakes looked like Publix ones. Even though I requested all vegetarian while booking there were meat sandwiches in the plates on our reserved table. Teas were listed to be 5 varieties and they brought only 2 out that too after half the food was eaten. So bad that it lasted like boiled water. They didn't even do the full 1.5 hrs on the bus and dropped us back a little before 5. Complete disappointment all thru. Pls stay out of this scam! This was a horrible experience, because we didn't get the opportunity to experience it!!!The weather was the only saving grace for this day. Pick up spot is a Centennial Olympic Park.... that comes with having to paying to park. Our tour was at 2:30pm, we all there 2:31. Cross the street, see all the ladies looking oh so cute(tea party ready). The part of the park they choice for pickup was good, nice amount of seating. Talking to some of the ladies, we discovered they were still there for the 12:30pm bus(Houston we have a problem). 10mins. in my homegirl gets a email, letting her know there running behind and now to arrive 3pm, that wasn't bad so we proceeded to take pictures. Bus arrives at 3:07pm.... Great(so we think). We proceed to the business, the the young man make the announcement he would only be allowing 12:30pm riders aboard. Downhill it goes! The young man handled it all very well, because ladies were coming at him from every direction...lol. Though not funny in the moment...he was just as lost and had just told on the ride over he was to only take 12:30pm tickets, eventhough he was the 2:30pm bus hostess. The bus driver then proceeds to open his door and tell us, the other bus is having mechanical issues and possibly would be arriving by 4ish but couldn't guarantee it. Upset, irritated, and frustrated, we never got the opportunity to take the tour. Getting a refund wasn't a problem, once we got to talk to someone(thank God) but everyone was out of unnecessary money for parking. Later learned that things like this had become common for this experience. As for our group, the thrill is gone and we will not be giving it a try again. Do NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! I'm reaching out regarding a very disappointing experience we had during your tour service, which I booked for my sister's 40th birthday. I chose this experience because it appeared classy and seemed like something we would truly enjoy, but unfortunately it fell far below expectations. Our scheduled time was 3:00 PM, and as instructed on your website, we arrived 15 minutes early. However, we were not able to board the bus until 4:00 PM. During that entire hour, we received no updates or communication regarding the delay. Once we finally boarded, the experience continued to decline. Our seats were dirty, and staff had nothing appropriate to clean them with other than a glass-cleaner wipe. The table and plates were also unclean. The food was hard and tasted as though it had been sitting out for hours. The chosen tour route was unpleasant as well. Additionally, the tour guide had noticeable body odor and repeatedly sang loudly over guests, which made it difficult to enjoy the experience at all. The overall condition and atmosphere were so unpleasant that we chose to leave midway through the tour. I'm sad to say the least. I had hoped this would have been a celebratory experience. So much to say but not enough time. We all saw the reviews but I found it hard to believe all of the issues, especially around management and logistics given I had spoken to two people who did the tea a year ago and they did not complain at all. They said they had a great time. So it seems as though these issues are more recent. We arrived between 1130 and 11:45 AM. We received two texts about the late arrival of the 12 o'clock bus. Our bus did not arrive until after the 1130 tour came and went. We waited until 1 PM. Then after standing in line instead of ensuring that everyone who had the Petit versus the LUXE menu was properly placed, they put us in the wrong locations. We bought our tickets separately, but certain people had the wrong menu items. They did not check our tables properly. Also people who had the LUXE menu did not get their upgraded drink in my party. Then you can tell that the buses were much older because the sound system was not working and even when they tried to fire it up, we were almost halfway into the tour. So the waiter MC had to shout and we missed many key landmarks. Also, one of my guest in my party brought it to my attention that we did not pass by the MLK Center, which meant that they were probably rushing because they were late. The scones were cold, but I don't like scone so I didn't expect much. The food quality needs to improve and there was a lot of background drama according to the MC. He said " you should've gotten five teas, but I didn't want to get into that drama." Why should we pay for drama $80 with the expectation that you have an organized elegant tea? The purpose of high tea is to have a sample of all teas offered in your menu and the food items are a lesser part. So unfortunately, most of us (party of 8) will not return, nor will encourage our friends to attend until these issues are resolved immediately management. Management: Please pay more closely attention to the reviews and notice the patterns. Have a step back approach and do an assessment with the staff, food quality, also with the capabilities of the bus schedule. Mediocrity is unacceptable. I don't blame the waiter staff or the servers. Initially I started this review, fresh off the bus. And gave it a 1 star. But now that I've thought it thru, I realize some grace should. Tickets start off at around $70. The luxe ticket starts at $99. I suggest the luxe, but not needed. The only difference is the menu. Honestly, you don't realize you're missing anything. NOTE: they say to arrive early. At least 15 min. Parking: across the street starts at $20 an hour. Next option is 11 hours $30+. They do not vouch for anything. Our reservation was at 4:30. We didn't get on the bus until after 6:30 and waited in the rain. Thank goodness we paid for 11 hours. Once you get on the bus, it was amazing. The host and waitstaff were amazing. Informational, and very entertaining. The host sang beautifully. Food was as described. If you're expecting the rosé to be alcoholic, don't. And the tea is not sweetened. Let me start by saying I was excited to dress up cute and have this experience. Our tour was to start at 12 pm and we were asked to get there at 11:45. We waited with some of the staff who scanned our tickets. By 12:15 there was still no bus!! Apparently the bus broke down. It didn't arrive until 1pm and we weren't let on until about 1:15. This put a damper on the experience. On the bus the experience was good. The food was about as expected for this type of tour however we DID NOT receive the tumblers as they said the shipment didn't arrive. The teas were not good bring honey/sugar!!! The singer was great. This was such a cute experience. I went with a group of friends for a Bachelorette celebration. Everyone on the bus looked so cute. The hostess on the tour kept us entertained with singing, story telling, and telling facts around the city. The teas were lovely, we had chai, earl grey, apple, ginger bread, and breakfast tea. The only condiments for the teas were sugar or honey though. The pastries and sandwiches were okay. I enjoyed the salmon and the mushrooms crostini. We did the luxe experience and many of the so called luxe snacks were not included on our tower and there was explanation of the items included that were different from what's listed on the website. For example we were supposed to have a caviar item but it was not included. Also there were no lux teas offered. We drove 8 hours for this - from FL to ATL. Tix say arrive 15 min early for boarding. Keep in mind that there is no signage at park indicating bus pickup but it's located in front of the park across / near Waffle House. Tour time was 2:30pm, Monday 2/17. Bus didn't get there until 2:40pm-ish. Bus staff said there was an issue with the driver so we had a substitute driver. Hint: Luxe and normal ticket is seated on the same sky deck -- Only real difference is that luxe gets a few other items on the tray of food. We got the luxe offering and had the lobster roll in ours which was tasty. All food is preset at the tables. When staff made it around with tea, we were served tea samples meaning enough for a sip size tasting since 7 teas were being offered. The food was ok. Keep in mind that they don't offer GF or other food accommodations as I called prior given I'm GF and not eating meat. The concept is really cute and it was fun to get dressed up for a luxury tea experience. However, the cons outweigh the pros and this was definitely NOT luxury. The check-in person was nice and the singer was very sultry and had a great voice. As for the cons as they are plentiful: This is not worth $95. We opted for the petite option which includes macaroons, sandwiches, and tea. I found the macaroons to be good however. The tea came by very infrequently and maybe in 2 oz pours and one of the servers wasn't friendly. The food options were mediocre for the cost - and weren't high quality options. The concept of a tour and entertainment is amazing. Where this tour lacks is the sound system was inadequate rendering one unable to hear the tour in question. The music plays while the tour guide narrates, so it's extremely DIFFICULT to hear. I would have loved to learn more about the city, but couldn't. Other things of note: Servers hair was long. When dealing with food and a luxury experience, Uniforms should be neat (both servers had stains on their clothing) and their hair was long and not pulled back. When I used to serve at restaurants we were required to pull our hair back and have it neat so it wouldn't get into guests foods. Ultimately, while cute and a wonderful concept, the experience is sorely lacking and NOT LUXURY. February 28th we went to Atlanta to ride the Tea Around Town bus, we were all so excited we had seen the advertisement on facebook, it looked beautiful and fun. But it was far from it, when we got on the bus we were told the bathroom does not work. He told us where our seat was located when we got to our seat the sandwiches on the tray looked like someone had taken a bite off and put it back, and had been sitting for awhile, the bread was stale. We were concerned that the food would make us sick, so we chose not to eat it. There was no entertainment or any tour around town because he said the speaker was busted, plus he was the only one working and he could not serve the tea and give a tour. It was not his fault but we wasted five hundred dollars. The Health Department should be notified of no restroom working and you can not wash your hands. read more

1-Star Review - Very Disappointing Experience I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Tea Around Town Atlanta, which was booked to celebrate my birthday on Sunday, February 8th. Unfortunately, this experience was nothing like what was advertised--especially considering my group purchased the Luxe package, the highest-priced option available. Originally, my tour was scheduled for January 25th (my birthday) but had to be rescheduled due to weather, which we completely understood. We rebooked for February 8th at 2:30 PM, expecting a smooth experience after already being flexible. The issues started 24 hours before the tour, when I received an email stating the departure time was changed to 3:00 PM due to operational logistics. While inconvenient, I accepted the change. On the day of the event, the booking was for 7 guests, though 6 attended due to a last-minute emergency. We arrived on time, but at 3:01 PM received a text saying the bus would depart in 15 minutes. After waiting longer, I contacted customer service at 3:29 PM and was told the bus was "eight minutes away." We didn't board until 3:45 PM. This meant standing outside in 45-degree, windy Atlanta weather, dressed up and in heels, with no seating, no shelter, no explanation, and no apology. Once onboard, things didn't improve. Our group was seated at two booths, and at one booth, a large portion of the food was knocked off the table. The waitress, Gabriel (who was not in proper uniform), cleaned it up but did not replace the food, even though it was the majority of that table's items. When asked about replacement food, we were told none was available. We were allowed to take food from an empty table, but it had less food and different items, which did not make up for what was lost. Despite booking the Luxe package, several advertised items were missing: No Rose mocktail tea Multiple savory items, sweets, and scones As for beverages, we received only three warm teas, two of which are not even listed on the company's website: mint green tea, mango tea, and apple cider tea. The tea was tasteless, clearly just boiled water with tea bags--no sugar, no enhancements. We had to ask for sugar packets, condiments, and paper towels. Service overall was slow, disorganized, and inattentive. Additionally, when the air conditioning was turned on, it was extremely loud and overpowered the host, making it difficult to hear her speak or entertain guests, which took away from the experience even more. The final disappointment was being told there were no to-go boxes available, meaning we couldn't take the food we paid for--especially frustrating given we purchased the top-tier package. This experience did not meet the standards promised and was a complete waste of money for what was supposed to be a special occasion. Tea around town is a great way to see Houston downtown area. I know the area, just was a good treat to send time with my Mom and my mother -in law. Lovely ladies in fancy dresses are a stand out in Centennial Park among tourists and folks hanging out. I went for a friend's birthday celebration. My first impression of this company made me a little cautious because there is no one to assist with questions and concerns regarding the seating when I tried to call to make my reservation. Everything is done through an email which once we were boarded we could tell that this is not the most efficient way to communicate because they had our party split with other people we didn't know. This was a bit annoying to try to fix once we arrived because they set the trays out for guests before boarding and they know who is supposed to sit where based on the price of the hors d'oeuvres they paid for which makes logistics a nightmare if there is a seating discrepancy. Maybe if you could speak to a human on the phone when booking this could be avoided. Also you cannot book the reservation as a single ticket. You have to purchase two tickets. Again....this could be a deterrent because the tickets are NOT cheap. Once I arrived at the pick up spot based on the parking location and GPS instructions there was a lady who was looking for guests standing near the park looking for people who could be dressed for the occasion. This made it easy to know exactly where the bus pick up would be. We waited around for about fifteen minutes before the bus arrived. It was such a pretty sight. There were actually two buses that pulled up at the same time. One bus was dropping off the 3 o'clock crowd. Once we were able to board, I was a little taken aback by the small and narrow steps that you had to take up to get into the seated area. We were in the top tier, but I was concerned by how much of a chore it was to get up the stairs with long dresses and some women wore heels. It definitely could be a hazard if you miss a step. I wondered if older people would be able to get up there. This would make me pause if I wanted to take my mother. Once we got upstairs and seated the decor was lovely. The pink and white seats were accented by flowers and a tray of finger sandwiches, scones, and small desserts sat on gold chargers with gold silverware wrapped in a pink napkin was displayed for the guests. One word of caution, I would recommend not going on this tour famished like I was with one cup of morning coffee because they only offer one or two portions per guest. For example, there were four tea sandwiches one was cucumber, one was tuna, and they had veggies with hummus. The dessert tray had two chocolate bite sized treats, two with marshmallows, and two macaroons. The bottom tray offer the scones. There were three offerings of different flavors of tea but you only received about 1/2 cup in the large souvenir cup. They did give us a bottle of water too. Once you ate your trays there was no more. If you were still hungry during the tour then you would have to wait until disembarked to have lunch somewhere else. The sandwiches were good. The teas were also good. I think the experience was overall good. It's a novelty time that would provide great memories. read more

We went on a tour in Atlanta and it was the worst experience I've ever had. First, the bus was an hour late. Our appointment was 11:30, with an arrival time of 11:15. The bus did not pull up until 12:30. We were on a busy street in Atlanta, in the rain with a disabled 89 year old. When we went upstairs we saw a razor blade on the seat next to us, dirty metal containers, trash on table and a very small amount of food on the table. It did not even look close to what the online pictures were. We were only offered 1 type of tea and didn't even get half of the cup filled with tea. There was no tour guide and none of the sites were announced or explained. The two men working the tea time could not tell us what food was on our table and one sat with the other half of the bus and sang very loud songs with the other group most of the time. Think the worst cafeteria food you've ever eaten and that's the tea around town culinary experience. Before I went to park my car, it was just about time for the bus to open, so I dropped my guests off directly at the bus before driving to the parking lot. first of all my first experience on this was horrible with a capital H the bus is two hours late. We did get on there. The finger food was old and like I've been sitting for a while while the bread was starting to get hard we will serve five different fees and they were cold. I've never had a cold tea pay for a service that was not delivered. I paid $200 for myself for my daughter I have reached out to my bank and my accountant to reverse this transaction because again this is horrible first of all the two hours late put a bad taste in my mouth not only didn't make me late for work because I have to work that night. What's the trip was horrible Some people Standih out there left I paid for 21 different textures for the food. We did not get 21. paid for 21 different textures for the food. We did not get 21. The reason why we were not given a finger food that was advertised we were told right before we boarded the bus that they had just changed vendors two days ago, but the food was old. Very cute concept but what you got did not match the price. Everything seemed very rushed. The bus was late. Food was kinda stale. No menu to see what you were eating. We didn't get to pick from a selection of tea they just brought out random tea. I prefer a traditional high tea service. This was not it. Would not recommend. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Please dont waste your money like we did. The bus was nasty and hot. The restroom was disgusting just like the old, stale food. The bus picked us up late, but the NON-tour ended on time. Which was great because NOTHING was good about Tea Around Town except seeing Zino's curly hair. Then they had the nerve to ask for a tip! For WHAT?!?!? They entire group deserves a refund. read more
