First thing Monday morning, I received a phone call with a breakdown of what the issue was and if he could order the part and what the price would be. Due to the price of the component which was reasonable I weighed my options and opted not to have it repaired. I came in and paid the Diagnostics and he disposed of my TV at no charge. I am more than satisfied with my interaction with this business and the gentleman. He treated me like a valued customer even though it was my first time. Even with coming in so close to closing time I felt like I was a priority and received immediate attention. Very professional and pleasant the whole time. Great business. I will be coming back.

It's disappointing that he can't do small stuff; especially given that the chip in question is downright huge by the standards of phones and such; but I'm giving 4 stars anyway because he didn't attempt to do something he couldn't, destroying my parts in the process. I still have my parts and can send them to someone that specializes in the small stuff, and that's actually one of the better results I've had with local soldering shops. I wouldn't bring him anything too intricate, but he would be my first stop for something easy like a TV.

Mike's Stump Grinding Review…read more I want to highly recommend Mikes Stump Grinding Services!! It's always hard to trust vendors coming up to you after major damages to your home like the recent tornado in our Fox Valley Neighborhood on 7/27/26 but I'm so glad I did! I had seen their signs periodically near in the last 10 years and all reports were very good * Communication & Speed: After our first meeting they did a site inspection and gave me a realistic and very generous quote, when I has unsure & did not have the funds right away they told me to call them if and when I was ready. They did harass me of leave calls and text messages but when I was ready they were there. * Quality of Work: They had the goods; the machines, tools and skills to do a great professional job. Their crew was highly motivate and did excellent work. I can't praise them enough for their meticulous clean-up. The crew removes wood chips/debris, levels the yard, and can even assist with adding black soil, grass seed, and straw. * Pricing: Prices are great and highly affordable-- They have been very generous with area Tornado victims. They surprised me when they added a few small shrub stump removals at no extra cost and agave me big discount on a large Maple stump I didn't think I could afford because they wanted to give back to victims too. Their regular quotes noted have been noted by others as being significantly lower than larger regional landscaping competitors. * Services Provided: Beyond standard stump grinding, reviews mention successful handling of shrubs/bushes, small tree removal, and navigating tricky spots near landscaping and utility lines.

Brett Meuret came to my home today to take care of a clogged shower drain. Brett arrived on time,…read moregreeted me in a polite, pleasant , professional manner. We discussed the problem and Brett got right to work. Brett helped me with the ceiling tiles in the basement that had been damaged when the shower overflowed onto the floor and leaked down into the basement. Then he went to the shower and power rodded the drain and discovered a giant wad of hair that had been obstructing the drain. He made sure that the drain was free flowing and then cleaned everything up so it was all neat and tidy. Brett was very knowledgeable and explained everything in a thorough manner. I would happily recommend Brett and Black-Haak Heating and Plumbing for any work of that nature that you need to have done. Everyone at Black-Haak is friendly, professional and they get the job done in a timely and efficient manner.

We waited outside for an hour, and no technician came. At the appointment time, I received a text saying I had to confirm or no one would come. I didn't get it until well after the tech was supposed to be there. I was later told they'd tried calling and had sent the technician home, but I received no calls or voicemails. Why wouldn't they just show up for the appointment? I wasn't told a second confirmation was required. I hope Black-Haak reviews what happened.
