The pedicure area

I am very surprised that this establishment no longer accepts credit or debit cards. Now they have an ATM and they want you to pay a fee and then you pay them cash. There are other nail salons in town now except credit and debit cards, thankfully

Unfortunately I had a very unpleasant experience yesterday. Disappointed because I have had overall decent experience here in the past, but I was very mistreated yesterday. I arrived at the salon at 1:45pm, sat in the waiting area, looked at the colors, then was taken to the table for my simple fill in. The color was taken off my nails then they were shaped. I was then told to go wait back in the waiting area while he starts and completes another girl who arrived 15-20 minutes after me. I thought well I'm sure it won't take too long... before I knew it, it was 3pm and I was STILL waiting with my as shown below half completed nails. I was asked to wait at approximately 2:15. I work a demanded job so the weekends are my only time to relax. I felt my time was wasted and I was made to feel very unimportant. At 3:05 I walked over to the table where he was still doing the girls nails and asked how much longer I would have to wait. He proceeded to tell me 15 minutes. I was not taken to the table until 3:28. The nails are okay. I left at 4:10pm. And was charged full price without even an apology for the wait. 60 dollars. I was there for approximately 2 and a half hours for a fill in. I will not be coming back and will not be recommending to anyone. Moral of the story don't make your clients feel like crap! I watched multiple people come in and leave while my time of waiting. I am also still upset I was not offered a discount or even an apology for my Sunday afternoon being cut short. Truly unbelievably horrible treatment.

The lady at the front desk was super helpful and nice and the sweet lady who did my nails I didn't get her name but she did so good with my gel nails and my hands were really dry and when she cleaned up the skin around my nails she did so good I've never gone to a place where they don't cut my skin and my nails look amazing if I ever find myself back in town I'd go back in a heartbeat!

I asked how much a women's haircut costs (seems to be a wide range between here, Martinsburg, Frederick, and Hagerstown). She said it would be $32, which I was fine with since some of the other places I asked charged $65+. I also received a reminder call about my appointment one day prior. The salon has simple, inviting decor and is clean. When I showed up for my appointment, the stylist, Maria, was in the lobby speaking to another stylist. She greeted me with a big smile and showed me to her station. When I sat down, I was going to show her photos of what I wanted (I have long hair that I want to grow out even more, so I wanted long layers to freshen up my style), but I had a feeling she knew what she was doing. I simply told her I'm trying to grow my hair even longer so I just want some layers added for movement. When I asked for an estimate to have my ombré retouched, she said that starts at $120 (I've found this is about the same as most other salons in the area). I'm very happy with my haircut - it's exactly what I wanted, still long but with some layers. I'll definitely be back. One minor note - I was told the cut would cost $32 but I was charged $38. Figured it was because I have long hair past my shoulders, but I don't care that much about a $6 difference.

There are Fiji water bottles in the lobby but no sign by them. I wasn't sure if they were included in the cost of the appointment or cost extra so I didn't take one. Maybe if I was bolder, I wouldve inquired. They sell a number of sugar scrubs and other products that you can use after your sugaring/waxing appointment at home. At 2:30pm, a technician came out with another customer who'd just finished and greeted me after closing out her appointment. I was definitely nervous but my technician put me at ease with light conversation and music (they let you choose what music you want when you schedule your appointment). I had initially made my appointment for sugaring but I was told that my hairs were too short and that wax would work better. I was a bit disappointed because I'd read about sugaring, but happy that my technician was able to provide good advice. It didn't hurt nearly as much as I expected it to. I was in and out in about 45 minutes with silky smooth legs.

It has been one month since I had the microblading & shading combo on my eyebrows. I am beyond…read morethrilled that I had this done at Vivo. I had very little or my original eyebrows left and I've been drawing them on for several years. I spent a month researching 6 places, including reading reviews, calling the locations and talking to them and doing general internet research on the process. I know this is semi-permanent, so I wasn't going to trust my face to either a process or a place I didn't trust. Prices were all within 5%, so cost was not part of my decision. I wanted to make sure I understood how much experience the person had with doing the process. After spending 15 minutes with Vi for my free consultation - I knew she was my choice. Both during the consultation and at the actual appointment, Vi spent time explaining the procedure she would perform as well as what to expect for recovery. The initial process took 2 hours and started with the application of a topical numbing cream. As the cream did its job, she then drew several options on - asking me which I preferred, then tweaking it and asking and tweaking until we had the right shape for my face. She listened to what I was looking for and we discussed color/how dark. She kept making sure I was comfortable and kept asking if I had any questions. Now time for the procedure itself. We started with the shading which is similar to having a permanent tattoo. It hurt a tiny bit more than I was expecting, but not so much that I had her stop at any point. After the shading, then she did the manual micro-blading strokes (which hurt less for me). I let her take pictures before, throughout and after the process. She sent me the pictures by the time I arrived at home! The area around the brows was a little red and the brows DARK - but I was able to go out in public that evening. WOW - my eyebrows are gorgeous. They are a better shape than I was drawing on myself all these years. I swear I look 10 years younger. I also find that I'm wearing less eye shadow than I previously did. I've been showing them off to my friends - and every person couldn't tell until I pointed it out to them. That is how natural they look! RECOVERY - you need to follow the after procedure instructions. Granted - since I followed them 95% I don't know what would really have happened if I hadn't. For the first 5-7 days, you apply a clear cream to help with healing (same as if you got a permanent tattoo). You don't get them wet either - so that was tough for me (no showers for 4-5 days). Dry shampoo only hid my oily/dirty hair so much - so I wore my shoulder length hair up in a clip. I did shower on day 5, but I put an extra thick layer of the cream on my brows and tried super hard not to let much water get on them. As they heal in the first 10-14 days, they will ITCH and you need to avoid touching them - particularly as minor scabs form and flake off. That sounds gross and noticeable - but it wasn't. Also, as described, my eyebrows were definitely darker in those first 10-14 days until all the "scabs" fell off. After 6 weeks (2 more to go), I will return for touch-up (included in the price). I totally recommend Vivo Day Spa if you want this procedure. FYI - they offer a lot of other spa services and I plan to check out both the facials and the massages in the very near future.

They also offer many beverages like tea, wine, lemonade, etc. I like Randall a lot and always choose her. She never fails to hype me up and make me feel like a queen *flips hair*. I got a semi-dramatic haircut: I started with a shoulder length bob with forehead bangs and wanted a short Mia Farrow pixie cut. Randall was of course very accommodating and was able to perfectly capture what I wanted. She asked me feel my hair to check the length and see if I wanted it shorter anywhere, which I really appreciated. She cared that I liked my haircut and wanted to make sure I felt and looked my best. You may be a bit intimidated when you first look at all the different services, but the website has great explanations.
