I recently opened an account with TD Bank, and I am extremely disappointed by the bait-and-switch tactics used. During the application process, I was explicitly promised a rate of 3.69% by the representative.However, when my account was finalized and the first statement generated, the rate was dropped to 1.8% without any explanation or prior notification. I have attempted to resolve this with customer service, but I am continuously passed around between departments with no resolution.Be extremely careful and get every single promised rate in writing before signing with TD Bank. They do not honor the terms they pitch to you. I will be escalating this to the CFPB. read more

the absolute worst bank i've ever encountered. walk inside and they make you sit down and wait to speak to a rep, even though they are all just sitting down at their desks, without a client with them. i think, no, i know they do it on purpose. have an issue? nobody there has any authority to do anything and nobody is intelligent enought to answer a simple question. nobody is accountable for any of their actions and it's impossible to get a straight answer. they all act like they are there just to watch the clock strike 5 pm so they can go home and start their worthless job all over again the next day. i guess if you work at mc donalds and have a small account and don't need any assistance you'll be ok. however, if you're a small business owner like my wife and myself, stand clear of td bank and find a "real" banking instituition. there's plenty of them out there! this place is a joke! read more

Been a member here for years and actually have 3 accounts here. My wife and I tried to get a safety deposit box and the supervisor was a total jerk. She made us wait for a long time and then asked one of the tellers to ask us what we wanted. We told the teller we wanted to open a safety deposit box. Dianna, the supervisor said they need an account for that. The teller then asked do you have an account? Yes several. Tell them we will be with them in a few minutes. After more than a few minutes Dianna asked us to have a seat at her desk. From the first second we sat down we got the feeling we were an inconvenience to her. We Presented our IDs and she asked for our debit cards. Neither of us carry them and she acted like it was an issue that we didn't have them. Then after about 5 minutes looking at her screen she asked why our address on our IFs were not the same as the one on file. I said we moved. Again she made it sound like it was an issue....Well first we will have to change your address first. That took way longer then it needed to. Dianna then asked my wife where she works? Then had her verify her SSN. Then her phone number and E mail. There was a delay between each as she looked at her computer and typed endlessly. Then she asked me all the same questions, I finally said we just want to open a safety deposit box why is all this necessary. She was clearly annoyed at this point and she crossed her arms and said we will not proceed any further until we update all of your information......DO YOU WANT TO PROCEED? No and I reached across her desk and retrieved our IDs and left. She actually seemed happy with her result. At the same time we heard a teller, tell a customer who was also waiting to speak to Dianna. The teller told a customer that she is better off going to a different branch. We saw the same lady at the other branch when we also went there. Dianna clearly would be better suited to work and the DMV she obviously hates her job and loves running loyal customers out the door. It is also interesting that Tellers are telling customers to go to different locations rather than have to deal with Dianna. Also a quick review of the other reviews of this branch that several other people had similar issues with Dianna Update.. Went to a different branch. The lady there was professional and ask us only 3 questions. May I see your IDs? What size box would you like? What account would you like the charges deducted from? Have a great day! We were looking for a bank to open a new business account for a new business. We were going to open the account with a 50,000 deposit. The manager was just unbelievably judgmental and condescending about our business and that we had to use our home address because our lease negotiations were still pending. Being completely insulted we left. We happily landed at SunTrust bank. The manager at TD Bank didn't even introduce herself. She was unpleasant and unprofessional. Yes TD is convenient with weekend banking but if your going to staff your branch with these substandard managers, I'll forego Sunday banking. Please bring some nice Canadian down from Toronto to educate these managers of yours. Look at the overall rating of this bank. I wish I had before going in the first time. It was the worse bank service, I ever had! I wanted to open an account for my business, I waited for over 40minutes, the guy who was supposed to help me, left, and then the manager ( a lady ) took another 15 minutes just to talk to us , when she finally did , it was clearly that she didn't want to open the account , she said the license being from NY she couldn't do it, not having the paper printed, she couldn't do it ( I offered to go to staples and printed and she said no ) end of the history , I opened my account on Bank of America , no hustle, easy , simple and with a great manager !!! Extremely upset and ready to close my account because of manager and employee!!!!. We are a construction company and we had a check that came from the house insurance of our client to do renovations on his house. Due to the fact that Diana the head clerk for this location gave us an explanation of 20 minutes of why the funds had not being release into our company account and basically making us come back to keep talking to us and wasting our time with just repeating and repeating the same thing over and over again,which was that we need to get our client to their location and the owner of our company to sign papers together so the funds could be release. After we talked to Diana and getting angry again at the fact that she never called me to let me know there was I time limit for this transaction to be done, I talked to the manager to complain about her personnel of the branch and the customer skills they were lacking and even though she apologize she just kept making excuses about why Diana didn't call me right away.I had to talk to the manager for 10 minutes on the phone and again she apologize but never told me that they were going to work on giving better service or that they did value my time, no she kept giving excuse after excuse about why Diana acted the way she acted. What ever happen to customer service? where the client is always right, where we say yes sir and we tried to leave the customer satisfied with the service we are providing. If i would acted this way with my clients my company would be out of business already. I'm closing that account as soon as the project is done, opening an account at this branch was a mistake. read more

If you are looking for a banker Karen Rolon is your person. TD bank is lucky to have her. I was ready to turn my back on this company because of my encounter with over 5 employees, some including managers but Karen managed the situation at hand in a profesional manner. She listened to my needs and reacted accordingly. Karen isn't there just for the "money." She provided outstanding customer service and definitely deserves to be recognized. read more

They made a huge mistake by modifying a wire transfer without my consent or signature. They told me they thought I had made a mistake and changed the amount of money I was transfering. This branch is HORRIBLE!!! They have ONE PERSON working the front, back and drive up window! I waited in line for 20 minutes and had to leave because I was late for work! My son just moved here Florida opened account with another branch in Florida had to go here because this bank (even though there is a class action lawsuit for overdraft fees) charged him 170.00 in overdraft fees (when he clearly had money in his savings to cover the overdraft charges for LA gym 35.00 he stopped in to see how he can get this removed one of reps here didn't want to help just rude! TD bank know for overdraft They credited 70.00 back and i put the 100.00 to cover the overdraft they charged him 35.00 5 times for small amounts of could not have totalled no more than 50.00 dollars and today after i put the money in there was another charge of 35.00 overdraft for something that came in for a transaction that he made days ago for 2.04 cents he was charged 35.00 for 2.04 transaction when money is in the savings account. I don't get it!!! so in 1 week he has 204.00 in overage for about 50.00 in transactions when he has money in his savings and We were told her verbally agreed to their overdraft WHEN he clearly said he told them HE did not want it because he knew it cost 35.00 for each transaction. SOMETHING must be done about this bank doing this to customers it is not right and it is down right NASTY!!!! read more
