I recently opened a checking account with TD bank less than a month ago and two days ago I opened a savings account so that I would be able to separate money I intend to save from money Intend to use in a more organize manner. After creating the savings account, I attempted to transfer funds from my checking account to my savings account. Yesterday, on 10/4/18, I tried to transfer 10,000 and the system would not allow me to, it said that the maximum that I could transfer per transaction is 1,000. So I made 11 transfers of 1,000 from my checking account to my savings account. A few hours later I received a missed call from someone in the fraud department by the name of Trevor P. He asked me if I was the one who initiated those transactions, and I said yes. While we were on the phone discussing another matter with issues that I am having with making some online purchases with my debit card, the call disconnected. I called him back and there was no answer. This morning, 10/5/18, I realized that the 11,000 was no longer posted in my savings account and was not in my checking account either, so I called Trevor again. He did not answer. After I called Trevor, I called the customer service line for TD bank to speak to a customer service representative. After pulling up my account, the representative stated that she is unable to speak to me about my account, and there is the notation on the account that states that I need to go into the branch for assistance. I asked her if I could be transferred to the fraud department, because I believe they may be responsible for the note that was placed due to the phone call I received yesterday from Trevor. Then the representative said she is unable to transfer me to any other dep because of the note placed on the account, and if I have a direct number for Trevor she would suggest I use it and reach out to Trevor directly to inquire about the matter. I called Trevor again and he finally answered. I told Trevor that 11,000 is missing from my savings account and he said that he is aware of that and he is not sure why the funds are no longer in my account. I became upset and said, "You called me yesterday and I confirmed it was not fraud so where is my money?" Trevor then said that he is unsure, and that he has submitted a ticket to investigate what happened to my funds and that he is unsure when these funds will be returned to my account. He added that he "assumes" my money will be available in my account within the next 1-2 business days. Absolutely unacceptable! I told him that the customer service representative told me that there was also a notation placed on the account that prevents them from assisting me with my accounts by phone, and I asked Trevor if he could assist me in having it cleared up so I don't have to make a trip to the branch. Trevor stated that there was no notation on the account and the representative should not have said that. He also stated that he placed a block on my account yesterday on 10/4 and he removed it after confirming with me by phone a few hours after placing the block that there was no fraudulent activity taking place on my account. However, the representative refused to service my account today on 10/5 immediately before I spoke to Trevor, so what he was saying did not add up. I told Trevor that I would like to put the customer service department on the line so they can clear up this issue so that I can access my account in the future by phone. I dialed customer service, and while we were on hold waiting for a representative to answer, Trevor said that he has "other things to do, that he could not stay on the phone, and that the representative should be able to assist me further" alone. I told Trevor the least he could do is stay on the phone with me for a few minutes to resolve this issue after misplacing my money and putting notations on the account that should not have been placed after he confirmed with me that no fraud had occurred in my account. Trevor hung up the phone in my face!!!!! As if an already terrible situation was not bad enough, Trevor decided to make the situation worse by showing the utmost disrespect, lack of courtesy, uprofessionalism, egregious behavior that he could have possibly displayed to a customer in need of assistance. As soon as my money is found and returned to my account, I plan to close my account with TD Bank and move all of my money back into my other account at another branch. My money is my vote and I refuse to do business with a company like TD Bank that mismanages money and mistreats customers. I called customer service to file a complaint, and spoke to Shaniece, a manager in customer service who is attempting to find out what happened to the 11,000 so she can return it to me. How can a bank be so irresponsible? Trevor never apologized to me once! read more
