Don't worry…read morethough, a BofA Customer Care Specialist(tm) will greet you, ask you how your day is going, then inquire as to your visit today. When you tell her "I need to make a deposit," she'll helpfully inform you that you have to go to a teller! THANKS! I HAD NO IDEA I WAS SUPPOSED TO DO THAT. I was just standing in this teller line on a Friday morning because I literally have nothing better to do with my life. Also, don't compliment my kid. You're making her self-absorbed. That faux-helpful customer service "we care" garbage is a serious peeve of mine. If you can't help me, stop talking to me. Nobody likes going to the bank anyway, why would anyone think it's a good idea to exacerbate this by letting me know it'll be just a minute? I'm second in line, I know I have to wait a little longer. Also, I hear Bank of America has been in the news lately for some nefarious mortgage things, so there's that as well. At least their ATMs are everywhere.

    I am a reasonably new customer to Suncoast. I recently liquidated some personal assets and…read moredeposited the check into my Saving account. I had no problem with the week hold on the check, however when I attempted to wire funds into my USAA account, I was not in any way supported. After going through the ponderous call-in to the general number, I finally got to the Wire department, which you cannot get to directly, you MUST be routed there by the "Customer Service" operator. By the way Customer Service seems more an oxymoron than a fact. I any case, I asked to send a wire transfer to a domestic bank and was told that I MUST contact the bank directly and obtain their procedures. Strange I thought, but I did as asked. It took me only 5 minutes to get the directions: Need exotic information: name and address of the bank, phone number, Routing number, account number for the deposit, then my name and address. I already had all of this information since this is not my first wire transfer, but that is not the point. I then had to call back Suncoast....Over a 15 minute wait later, I got to speak to a "Customer Service" rep who, when I complained about the wait, told me that I had to understand that they were very busy and tonally, told me to stop complaining. She transferred me to the wire transfer department where I held for another 5 minutes then hung up. I have left 3 messages with the CU, and understanding that they were sent Friday afternoon, am still waiting for the messages to be read and, dare I hope, responded to. My experience is that the facility people are very nice and seems competent and well trained, but the telephone staff are rude and ill trained. I am 95% ready to remove my funds and deposit them in a more user friendly bank/CU. Terrible.
