Beware Jim's Auto Body and Service under new ownership/management…read more When my wife's car got a check engine light I called the Mercedes dealer first. They wouldn't tell me anything without bringing the car in. I then had the code read at Performance Auto on Mi Ave, an autoparts store. The code identified a common issue related to the crankcase ventilation system, and of course cost me nothing. I decided to give Jim's, my local long term go-to business the work instead of the dealer. I really thought they would fix it. I'd gone to Jim's for everything from a complete engine rebuild to oil changes. Bringing the car to Jim's was a complete waste of time. They identified the code, which I already knew and recommended I bring the car to the dealer. Not only that, they charged me $135 for a service any parts store does for free. If I had known that was the plan I would never have brought the car to Jim's. It's obvious the new management couldn't care less if you are a loyal long term customer. Jim's will no longer be working on any of my cars, Chev, Ford, or Mercedes.

They got everything working properly, but the first time I went to adjust the vent on the passenger side the louver's on the vent would not operate? We took it in to have them look at it and was told "told...oh well it seems to be broken" I said it worked before we brought it in, but the refused to take responsibility for the damage!
