They have a massive selection of ornamental and fruit trees as well as roses. They also sell all the usual bedding plants, beautiful hanging baskets, pots, compost, garden ornaments and tools for the garden. Apparently a lot of their shrubs and plants are grown at Abercorn. I was told this by a member of staff who was most helpful and friendly and gave me tips about my soil and what I could and could not grow. There is a play area for children so they can enjoy themselves while you are free to look around.

Staff are friendly withour being pushy and are generally knowledgeable and wiling to help or find an expert to help if it is specific knowledge that is required. All items are set out on one level, making it wheelchair and pushchair accessible. This store also has several sections with mangers specials where you can grab a bargain alwayd worth a look :)

The…read morebest thing about Homebase is the super home ware and kitchen bits department it is always full of items in the latest colours and just what you need including the ever popular must have item wire cake stands. The Christmas range is also rather good this year they have packaged the christmas light in handy little reusable boxes if I didn't already have hundreds of lights I would of bought a box. There is a gardening section out the back we always buy our Christmas tree from here and they are very good. Apart from that the rest of the shop is rather boring DIY stuff. Customer service refused to take responsibility and instead pushed me to return it at my own cost under their guarantee. I did not order a damaged product. The outdoor plant section is well stocked and the staff are very helpful in this area. The shop stock novelty as well as nice indoor plants and planters. They have excellent selection of bulbs which are reasonable in price. A good selction of gardening tools as well. The gifts are lovely, it is definately worth a browse to find something a little different as very good prices. They stock a wide selction of books for all ages and the children's books are lovely. They have clean toilets and are family friendly. Their is a little cafe there that sells lovely food. Be aware that breakfast is served till 1130am but food is not cooked again till midday. So time your visit for breakfast or lunch so not to be disappointed like we were! Their Christams displays are always lovely and they usually have a great Santa's grotto. They also stock fire works!
