I paid online for an item which was to be delivered on the 23rd December for pick up at the meadows springfield road store in Chelmsford, was sent a text to say it was at the store for pick up on the 23rd, only to be told upon arrival that it hadn't arrived. I was lucky there was one on the shelf, so had to pay again in store. The staff couldn't find any record of my order and I was told I needed to go back to the store with a reference number to get a refund. This would of been another 14 mile journey had I not rang customer service to be told that they would refund me over the phone. When I rang the store the same day I had a text about 2 mins after I put the phone down to say it was now instore for collection, on the 3rd of January!! I will never again order and pay for an item from ELC (mothercare) as they are totally unreliable. I wanted the item for a childs Christmas present . I did not want to give any stars for a rating but had to put 1 star or not leave a review. read more
