A sneaky way to fleece an old lady at Christmas, Coopers! She is even more upset about the whole process now.

It is only about 2 years old. Open seven days a week and has free parking. It is famous for its range of fabrics there are literally hundreds to choose from and the stores offers a made to measure service for curtains. They also have dress fabrics and haberdashery. Other departments include beds and bedding see the new high quality Hotel range bathroom, kitchen, lighting, furniture, rugs, quilts, and the store's famous Market Place where there are extra bargains to be found and this section is constantly changing. We bought curtain poles and hard to get things like curtain hooks which cost pennies. I had a lie down and a bounce on a memory foam bedI want one! They also had nice servicable blinds and things like picnic sets and hobby carry cases. After all that shopping there is the store's own Coffee Shop which offers a full range of hot and cold drinks and snacks. Good value for household goods and fabrics.

There are various items for the home such as candles, sprays, linen and pillows. There is a small selection of clothes and night wear including dressing gowns. I'd definitely recommend going in the sales!

At the back is paint and gardening supplies, just as you come into the store is the health and beauty section, followed by food for both humans and pets, then stationary and finally home wares. If you're a lover of fairy lights you can find them here in the winter in great abundance.

It is also goos for inexpensive stocking fillers for Christmas. There is a car park at the back of the shop, which is prpbably one of the cheapest car parks in Hitchin.
