He was sent to Trinity Hill Care Center for rehabilitation. Unfortunately, 2 days before Thanksgiving he was discharged. I say unfortunately because he should not have been discharged. I was told his discharge included a home health aid that would be visiting daily at his residence to assist him with his blood sugar, food etc. (He wasn't at all able to comprehend even how to check his own blood sugar). No home health professional came to my brothers home. Trinity apparently did NOT schedule this as part of his discharge, but it appears as sheduled on his discharge documents which I have. For 16 days he was alone at his residence, with no help. He could not even walk after 4-5 days. How does this happen? My sweet brother was found unconscious on December 12 and passed away on Christmas Eve. Low blood sugar caused irreparable brain damage. They have no idea how long he was lying unconscious before he was found. I spoke to the home health facility listed on the Trinity discharge docs and they have no record of a phone call, intake, referral, they have nothing from Trinity regarding my brother.They said to me they have no record at all of his name anywhere. This vital part of my brother's care apparently was never put in place. It could have saved him. Likely would have. What happened Trinity? Well I asked and: Trinity Admin named George promised to call me back 2 weeks ago,... nothing. Then again another promise to call me back 1 week ago. ....nothing. This is not care. This is apathy. And this is a dangerous facility.

My CNA's have NEVER made my bed, I have to practically beg for Ice Water, When I was sick, they ignored the call light for up to an hour. I've worked with Stephany mostly, but also had a session with Katie. Their training (MPT, DPT) and experience (24 years for Stephany) enable them to home in surprisingly quickly on causes of pain. My right shoulder has been really hurting after a fall. The usual culprits, muscle trauma and arthritis, are major sources of this pain. But Stephany soon realized that a pinched nerve in my cervical spine is also causing substantial pain. She's given me a menu of stretching and extension exercises that are simple and effective. And after she has worked on--manipulated--my shoulder for a while, I leave PTSMC feeling decidedly better. Katie worked with me one time when Stephany was unavailable. She had thoroughly discussed my problems with Stephany beforehand, and I got the same level of expert therapy guidance from Katie as I had experienced with Stephany. Stephany and Katie are pleasant and patient. Sidney and Sam at the front desk are pleasant and invariably helpful. The studio itself is bright with plenty of outside light streaming in through the windows, well laid out, and clean. After years of physical therapy that was annoying, but necessary, I consider myself very lucky to have come across PTSMC, where I actually look forward to my physical therapy sessions. And their computer needs work, can't handle prescriptions at more than one pharmacy. May send your asthma prescription t to wrong pharmacy. Always have to explain my issue or question multiple times to different people, communication needs work too. Doctors spend little actual time with patients, more time looking at computer screen than at person needing care. Insurance probably to blame making doctors follow a script.

First. I know this is the major group for the Hartford area and you may feel like you have no…read morechoice but FIND SOMEONE ELSE. Briefly, my thigh became paralyzed and excruciatingly painful rather suddenly. My PCP xrayed my hip which showed no problem and sent me to the Oah walkin. The PA there said it did not present like hip but didn't take any other xrays and referred me to a hip APRN. Since she didn't think the problem was hip she decided to inject steroids into the joint. The injection was done in a 2 inch gap between my street clothes without any draping. My hip joint was infected and destroyed. I needed 2 hip replacements, temporary and permanent, and over a year of antibiotics including 6 weeks iv 3 times a day at home. I have a huge scar and degradation of my hip function. It turned out my problem was a severe spinal stenosis. So, I had spinal laminectomy and fusion before the hip replacements. 3 major surgeries within 6 months. The worst part, though, is no one in the entire practice took responsibility for the pain they caused me. They said it was a rare side effect not an egregious error. No one in the practice even was interested in the systemmic errors or making improvements in the practice. The APRN who injected me has never contacted me at all. IF YOU GO HERE THEY ARE LIKELY TO DO THE SAME INJECTIONS WITH THE SAME LACK OF SANITARY PRECAUTIONS. Like others who reviewed the practice, I found the staff unfriendly and unhelpful with curiously a lot of people just standing around. It varies but the doctors run hours late.

Though as it turns out I am impressed with how much it really improves ones methods of healing. Even after my first visit I learned new ways to help myself and improve on my daily exercises. I really recommend physical therapy to anyone who may need it. I found that not only do I enjoy PT, but the staff really make the process easier. When I said yes, I was told, "Oh no, we can't do that today." If there are certain days or times when Groupon customers are not accepted, that should be clearly disclosed in the Groupon offer. Availability should not suddenly change simply because the customer purchased the service through Groupon. I purchased the Groupon expecting it to be honored according to the advertised terms, and I was unable to use it even though the business confirmed they had availability.
