They go over and beyond to keep it a safe and enjoyable experience. They have a no feet on backs of chairs policy (which is a blessing. I have back and neck problems so having someone behind me kicking the seat is very painful) they also do walk throughs while the movie is going to respectfully tell the noisy disrespectful groups to be quiet and respectful. I still went there before the new changes, it's a friendly environment and the people who work there are fantastic humans!! I was so so scared when the new theater came to town that RCE would go out of business.

The front of the theater is very small to the point where guests were lining up outside to get concessions. We ordered about $26 just for Popcorn, ICEES, and a medium drink (not including tickets). It is unhygienic for an employee in an establishment to touch their hair / pull out their hair tie while working especially since they were not wearing any gloves. The sound in the theaters could use some enhancement, some parts of the movie were hard to hear. The seats are shaped weird, so they aren't the most comfortable. There is a good amount of leg space, but other people are very unaware of their surroundings. I cannot tell you how many times my seat got pushed forward by another customer. It was a very frustrating theater to go to. The employees were nice, but I would say they need to be a bit more cautious when handling concessions such as popcorn. Overall, I would not recommend this theater, but locals may be out of luck if this is the only theater nearby.

I saw on the website that tours were offered by appointment so I decided to see if the building was open. It was, so I asked if I could look around as I love old theaters and I was told I could. Turnage Theater opened in 1972 and now has live performances, movies and also is an art gallery. The building was built in 1913 and was a bakery and a shoe store and had Vaudeville theatre on the second floor. I didn't venture on the second floor but I did enjoy the memorabilia in the lobby and went into the first floor theater. I was told about the tale of Roy Rogers riding his house Trigger up the stairs to get to the auditorium and how about 50% say it happened and another 50% say it didn't. There is even a sign about this on the street. I am excited to see a performance here the next time I am in town.
