I cannot recommend Dr Hernandez enough. A few months ago I was in physical therapy two times a week…read moreat another PT clinic that I had gone to consistently for 3 years. I suffered sharp chronic pain and muscle atrophy while in treatment, so I switched practitioners. At the recommendation of my Acupuncturist I visited Lucas' practice. Three months later I am now in PT once every three weeks. My muscle atrophy has completely reversed and my pain levels are minimal and manageable. Aside from being extremely talented Dr Hernandez actually has bed side manner and empathy for his patients. Every time I leave his office I feel like I'm floating on a cloud.

He helped me finally get the proper diagnosis (an MRI which no one has previously recommended showed a slight disc bulge), and then after a round of much needed steroid treatment he gave me the tools to move forward in a way that was smart and helpful and has relieved about 90% of my pain and made movement and exercise bearable again. It's astonishing to me how much bad information I got before seeing him, but I am grateful that I now have a highly skilled and super friendly therapist I can trust. Highly recommend!

Kevin was the first PT who actually properly figured out what was causing it. He found the core and breathing issues that were throwing everything off and built a plan that finally got me out of the cycle. The best part is he didn't tell me to stop lifting heavy like so many other PTs would do. He actually took me through the same heavy movements I did at the gym during my usual workouts, fixed my form, and showed me how to use my core the right way so my erectors weren't doing all the stabilizing. After a couple months, I was pain‑free and lifting heavy again. shoutout to Ryan as well, he was always there during the exercise portions, making sure I was doing things correctly and explaining what each movement was supposed to help with. I'm really grateful for their help and lifting pain free several months later on my own. If I ever get another weird injury, this is where i'd go for sure

I have learned so much about my muscle and their weaknesses as well as how I can improve them. Over the last month an a half my neck pain is almost gone and my shoulder pain is much more tolerable while I still put in the work to make it stronger. I feel like a weight has been lifted because for the first time I have the tools I need to make sure this consistent pain will not return. For whatever ailment you have, I highly recommend seeing Liz. Her collaborative, individualized approach to working with patients is what all healthcare should be - a journey through existing issues and working on preventing future ones. Run don't walk to Bartley Body Integration! Jay Bartley is a Structural Integration practitioner…read morethat really knows what he is doing and in my opinion works with you to get noticeable results quickly. I only have great things to say about Jay and highly recommend his work to everyone I meet. (If I had more time I'd write a shorter review, but here it is...) Most people don't know what Structural Integration (SI) is or what it does and how exactly it can help them. I was one of those people until I experienced the entire 10 series. The short explanation from my understanding is- we've all heard of muscle memory, but what we have not heard is that muscle memory is actually stored in the fascia and not the actual muscle. So SI is a massage type physical manipulation of the fascia that allows it to release, open up to receiving blood flow from the body and therefore it heals stronger than before. I included video of Jay Cutler (football player turned 4 time Mr. Olympia winning bodybuilder getting a form of SI done) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2pfFrYnqGU also a great brief article about fascia and the leaps and bounds made in gains during muscle training. http://www.simplyshredded.com/fst-7-fascia-stretch-training-7-workout-routine-nutrition-guide.html I'm not a doctor and I can only really talk about my experience. But before working with Jay, I had muscle tightness in the back, legs, and jaw that would caused pain and headaches. I wanted to see if he could help with that. My experience is that the results were beyond my expectations. I wanted less pain or even no pain in my muscles. After going through the series, I was really happy that the tightness and pain is gone. But in addition to that, I've discovered a whole range of motion in my body that did not exist before. My legs feel balanced and secure and movement is easy and free and actually feels really good. I feel taller just like I've been untangled and able to really experience movement. My body from a structural standpoint looks stronger and my posture is naturally improved because of it. One things to know is that as great as my own results were, I had to work in each session for it. Some of the SI sessions were painful for a few minutes as Jay worked on different areas. The way I would explain it is that blood has to move in your body in order to heal your body. And there are some areas of your body that have been blocked for years. So obviously when those areas open up there is a pain sensation and a brief period of adjustment when your body recognizes that it is healing itself. If you are an Athlete or bodybuilder moving to the next level or A regular person dealing with chronic muscle pain, Run don't walk to Bartley Body Integration!

I decided to try rolfing because I was desperate for relief and understanding what was behind my injuries. Jay is the ONLY long lasting relief I have found and I am so glad I didn't have surgery or get a stem cell injection. My posture is so different, my awareness of my movements and body is on another level, and my goal of eliminating the root cause of my pain improves every single session. I am driving, walking and in less pain than ever What else- Jay is professional and also lovely. Go get rolfed and stop wasting your time with other practitioners.

I went to Kathryn on a strong recommendation and as promised, she changed everything about my body. Especially my relationship to my body, which I was worried was breaking down and never going to heal. After decades of acupuncture, massage and sacral-cranial work, all of which helped temporarily, Kathryn's 10 session Rolfing series has done wonders. And I'm not even finished. She is so educated, patient, gentle, fun, and clearly loves to teach and help people. She also gives helpful advice about walking, sitting, using my muscles in ways that help support my alignment. Now other people are starting to comment on the positive changes in my appearance, too. Rolfing itself isn't always a pleasant experience (my own sensitive areas include my calves, shins, and ankles), but Kathyrn will always do her best to make you as comfortable as possible. She is a wealth of dietary knowledge as well. At our first appointment, she pointed out that a lot of my symptoms indicated I might have a gluten allergy, and after one month of going gluten-free, I actually feel remarkably better (more energetic, less joint pain and overall tenderness) and I've gone for the first month of my adult life without a migraine. Yay! If you want to feel better, don't wait: schedule an appointment now. Your health is worth the money.

I took the 25-week private session plan with Sharon and am extremely glad I did!…read more It not only alleviated neck and back pain I was having after an injury but also helped me out in virtually all areas so that it should prevent it from ever returning and should also save my joints from wearing out. I had read up on AT and how a teacher can teach you to walk, stand, breathe, sit, and just overall move better. Sharon has totally changed the way I move my body, and even how I use my camera for my videography work. While the biggest physical change has been in my energy levels (so so much better now), the most profound one was in noticing just how much anger and tension I have been carrying around. There were multiple sessions where a bunch of deep seated anger came up, and she noticed it right away and handled it with such compassion and kindness. I had massive releases of anger after those sessions that have left me much more peaceful. She has such a beautiful presence and is so incredibly patient. She also loves to laugh and be a goofball which makes the sessions so enjoyable. The biggest takeaway I want to share is trust the process. It all sounds kinda wonky learning how to move/breathe/sit differently at first, and if you are like me, the magic might not happen until halfway through, so don't give up on yourself. It will be worth it. She has given me the foundation I needed to continue to make progress in all areas of my life. Thank you, Sharon!
