I am honestly nervous to submit this review based on my experience and opinion of the owners personality but here it goes. First off... Facial: 5 stars Eyebrow wax: 1 star Overall experience: 3 stars Average: 3 stars Facial was one of the better I've had in a while. Thorough and left feeling clean. However,the overall experience left a lot to be desired. - First, I had to wait in this hallway of a busy conglomerate salon rental place for 15 minutes past my appointment start time (I got there ten minutes early for any possible paperwork, so 25 minutes in a hallway). - there was no properpaperwork to be seen. Usually a reputable aesthetician business will ask a skin and medial history to make sure they aren't doing anything damaging. Thankfully I'm pretty bland and didn't have anything besides severe gluten allergy to report. - she went on and on and on and on and onnnnnn about how damn amazing she is and been in business soooo long and how awesome she is. Yeah, I get that from the reviews, please just stop. Not a good look. - she didn't even wash my eyebrow fill in makeup off before waxing them. Didn't even do measurements or "hey how's this look?" Ask. Nothing. I HATE the shape of my eyebrows post wax but nothing you can say after the wax has been pulled. Especially after she's made dozens of comments about how awesome she is and how she disagrees with those who do t agree with her opinion of herself. - she talked NONSTOP during the facial which could be fine if it weren't for political BS I don't want to think about while paying to relax and get my face cleaned from the stress of everyday life (1% bashing, Dr Fauci bashing, etc) Clearly didn't or couldn't take the cue I wasn't interested. - facial had great extractions and left feeling like my face was very clean - table was horribly uncomfortable and hard - I was brought in right as the last person left and told "oh yeah I cleaned and changed sheets while she was changing" meanwhile the wax pot looked horrible and the top smelled really stale and stuffy. I first waddled into Amy's studio when I was new to the area and 38 weeks pregnant. After scouring Yelp for a high quality yet reasonably priced place to get a Brazilian wax, I decided on Taylor Facials and Waxing. Amy can make getting a Brazilian bikini wax relatively painless, even if you forget to take ibuprofen 20-30 minutes prior to your appointment. First of all, she uses hard wax, which is much less painful than soft wax that requires a muslin strip pressed onto the wax and ripped off. Second of all, Amy is quite talkative, which is an effective distraction from the fact that I'm getting hair ripped out of my kitty. The quality of the Brazilian waxes are also commendable. Amy gets in there with tweezers to remove any stragglers, and she left me completely smooth down there despite the fact that it wasn't easy trying to maneuver my heavily pregnant body into the usual positions for a thorough Brazilian. I've since been back for a Brazilian post-pregnancy, and the results were just as good as that first time. I can also appreciate that Amy will let me bring my little infant into her salon, as long as he's ensconced in his carseat and safely away from any wax that could fall on him. At the time of this review, she's still offering her "Buy 4, get the 5th one free" offer. That means it's only an average of $44 pre-tip for a Brazilian wax. This reasonable pricing allows me to get those monthly waxes and feel like a sexy mama. Thank you, Amy! read more

Amazing Facial I had an amazing facial yesterday with Amy Korres and my skin has never felt so good! Amy provides a very relaxing environment with soft music and oh does she know how to pamper! Loved Amy! This was SO much better than my previous bikini waxing experience...which you can only imagine - when waxing your hoohaw isn't good, it REALLY isn't good. What's the difference? The wax Amy uses is the "right" kind, so it really adheres to your hair well and pulls with less pain. I was left with smooth skin and not a bunch of stragglers remaining that I had to pluck out myself later. It was a professional job from beginning to end, and Amy made the whole process quick and less awkward than I thought it would be. Even if you could save $20 going somewhere else, it wouldn't be worth it at all. Will definitely be back before swimsuit season! Mostly, though, I went to Amy for monthly skin care and glycolic peels. Her prices are beyond reasonable, and she does a great job of finding the perfect balance between making sure you get a great peel, but aren't too red to face the world afterwards!
