**PLEASE READ BEFORE WORKING W THIS COMPANY & READ UPDATE**Okechobbee FL…read moreI am a first time homeowner and while the inspection was comprehensive and the individuals very kind/ helpful, there were serious issues they missed that were detrimental to my health. Back in July I closed on my home. Looking back after having the knowledge I have now, there were very clear signs of a bad rodent infestation that was never disclosed. I say very bad because they were eating my pipes which led to several parts of the flooring and walls being infested with mold. There were clear signs of rodents eating through the under lining of the home and the guy told me it was just something the owners probably cut out due to maintenance. I had a plumbing inspection as well and they did not catch the holes in the drains. From July- October I started to suffer from serious mold poisoning. I was lethargic and my brain was not working like it normally does. On top of this I was experiencing serious chest pains, truly I cant express how bad they were. While I am lucky and have a family with connections in construction, who literally found out these problems on accident when working on an electrical issue, others may not be as lucky. I also paid extra for the termite inspection and while there was no current termite activity, they failed to include signs of previous activity. They took advantage of my fresh and eager attitude and if you choose to work with them, please be careful. ****Update*** It is not letting me respond to the comment the company left. There was never any mention of any plumbing concerns in my report or to me. On top of this, yes they told me about the area that was ripped up (by rodents) that had mold. They told me to fix, by cutting out the board, replacing the board, and patching it up, and i'd be fine. Which I did. They did not mention elsewhere. Also, where this mold was, wasn't even close to where the majority of the mold in my home was found. This was in the kitchen and I had to rip up both bathrooms. I just reread my inspection documents and it literally says all of my plumbing is satisfactory. While I understand you are trying to save face for your company, you guys did not do justice to this service for me and I do not want someone else experiencing the same thing. Thank you. I attached the report.

One of the more recent repair recommendations was close to $1,800, which made me pause. I decided to get a second opinion, and was offered a much simpler solution--adding a second cold air return--which resolved the issue and actually improved system efficiency for around $400 total. My takeaway isn't just about Long's, but HVAC work in general. Always get two to three bids, especially for air conditioning. I've had multiple companies work on the same house, and it still wasn't running correctly until a simpler, more experienced solution was applied. You don't want inexperienced technicians guessing or experimenting on your system. You want someone knowledgeable who's been doing this work for a long time. Ask questions, challenge repair recommendations, and require that they put it in writing that they've correctly diagnosed the issue and that the repair will fix the problem. There's no reason you can't ask for that before approving the work.

We had an excellent experience with Prestige Iron Doors and I cannot recommend them enough. Jake…read moreRuggerio, the owner, was the standout part of the entire project. From the beginning, he took the time to walk us through the process step by step, answer questions clearly, and make sure we understood timelines and expectations. He was easy to reach, straightforward, and professional, and he made us feel confident that we were in good hands. What impressed us most was the customer service. Jake's communication was exceptional and consistent. We did not have to track him down for updates because he kept us posted throughout the entire process. He checked in at the right times, shared progress updates, and made sure we knew what was happening next. It felt like he truly cared about the experience, not just the sale. His attention to detail also deserves a special mention. He noticed an issue with the handle and immediately ordered a replacement. Then he stayed on top of it and kept us updated on delivery timing and what to expect until everything was resolved. That kind of proactive problem solving and follow-through is not common, and it meant a lot. The final result is stunning. The doors are awe-inspiring and more beautiful than we could have imagined. The iron quality is exceptional and the craftsmanship elevated the entire look of our house. It genuinely feels like an upgrade to our home, not just a new door. If you want high quality work, strong communication, and an managing partner who takes pride in doing things right, Prestige Iron Doors is the company to call. I have included before and after shots. Worst company I have ever dealt with .Kaylee and her husband don't take responsibility for their…read morework . My cabinets look like garbage, there dents and finger prints all over. My floors have paint everywhere as well as most of my appliances in the kitchen. I didn't have the exact handle at home for them to drill the holes so I had to send someone to get different ones and even with the handles , the holes are not centered at all. They laugh at you and tell you it's common sense to know, you should have the exact handles but I took a last minute spot a few days later and I was told they were only adding the second hole for a 5in space but instead wood filled the first hole when they sprayed the cabinet doors and had to drill both holes after the placed them up. Kaylee basically called me a lair and told me I was told, i should have had the exact handles but I was not. Tons of spots were not even sprayed completely and the men had to touch up most of them. They were at my house until 8pm on Friday which is absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. They didn't paint behind my refrigerator and told me it was a liability that they cannot move it so instead of asking if I could move it, they just left it unpainted . Kaylee didn't like that I was telling her the job was incomplete and she continued to give excuses instead of giving me actual resolutions. She was nasty the whole time and didn't like I wasn't backing down to having her complete the job I was promised so she voided my warranty. NOT like I want it for the horrible job I got. The crew spoke Spanish but my father understands/speaks and they complained the whole time how poorly they are paid and gave us their personal numbers so they can come back and fix the job themselves. After Kaylee accused the guys were uncomfortable in my home because of screaming. I have three kids and 13 foot ceilings so i don't know what sounds they're used to but in my house it's loud and once again, an example how inappropriate she spoke to me. The crew were pleasant and we tipped them very well after. And they were happy to give us all their personal information so I don't know how uncomfortable they could have been. Her and her husband didn't even come and see the job there company did, all I got was excuses how everything was my FAULT. I've never had a company talk to me the way they did. If I were you, I would completely beware. I'm sure they will write something full of excuses but at the end of the day customers are always right. There are lots of people who do this type of work and charge the same. These people have no respect for their customers.

We hired KB painting to paint our shiplap ceiling in May. After research the only way to paint…read moreshiplap ceiling after it is installed is to spray it. We discussed spraying our ceiling, protecting our walls as they were just painted and also protecting our floors because they were professionally cleaned. We also requested a flat paint because it was a ceiling. KB painters had a painter come out to our house to give us an estimate and to view the job. From that point we had hired the company. We took their next available date. The painters (someone different than who was supposed to originally do the job) showed up 4 hours late with rollers and a semi gloss paint and zero protection. We called the owners and were very confused as to why nothing was what we asked for. At that point we did not feel comfortable allowing them to do the job so we had requested a refund of $900 for the deposit. They told us that they will not refund us even though they did not bring any supplies into our house nor did they do any work at all! I then contacted my credit card company and disputed the charge. KB Painting never responded to the credit card dispute instead put me into collections for $2000 which was more than what the job was supposed to be. We hired E.A.G Custom Painting after, and gave the same instructions. They did an amazing job, met all of our needs, and showed up on time.

Can you say $$$$$! My association had been saving for decades for new roofs and I was up last week. Woot! Woot! They picked these fine folks. It started with an email from them that pulled no punches and I appreciated that. It was going to be incredibly noisy and messy, and my building would be a construction zone, so I had to make different arrangements for my car. It was all of that! From 7-4 each weekday they went at it for a week and a half. At some points there were ten guys at once on my roof! So how did they do? I met the owner several times and he was incredibly nice and responsive. His guys were unfailingly pleasant and worked hard to clean up every day. It was indeed very noisy. Let's just say I didn't take any afternoon naps! As you can see from the picks, my new roof is gorgeous! As I complete the paperwork, I'm about to get a yearly discount on my condo insurance. I'll bet you're thinking $50 a year or so. How about hundreds of dollars a year! Woot! Woot!
