On June 23, 2023, my husband and I were on a cruise ship that docked in Amsterdam, Netherlands. We walked from the cruise ship to the Anne Frank house and toured it. Then we shopped and took a taxi back to the ship. The taxi's company name was Na Koeriersdienst. When we arrived at the ship, I gave the driver my credit card and asked for a receipt. He replied he couldn't give me one. My assumption was that his card reader couldnt print one. When we boarded our ship, I logged into my credit card website and saw that he had charged me $330.39 for a ride that was maybe 15-20 long. I called my credit card company and after disputing the charge and providing receipts that were time stamped that showed our movements off the ship, as well as a map showing our route walked, our credit card company said that because I could not provide a receipt, there was nothing they could do. When my credit card company contacted the taxi company about the dispute, they provided a receipt with a squiggle for a signature and claimed I had put a PIN in. The driver also claimed I had contracted for a "two hour tour of Amsterdam." I also tried emailing the taxi company and they never responded. So my lesson learned is to ask when I get in a taxi if they're able to provide a receipt and also to take a picture of the driver's license plate. We were absolutely ripped off by this company, ordered a taxi for 6 to travel 4.2km, ended up travelling double that as the driver thought we were stupid tourists, I had checked the Google maps before getting in the taxi & it should of took 13 minutes, we were in the taxi for close to half an hour & encounter hardly any traffic, confronted the driver & he argued that Google map was incorrect, when I took the photo of his vehicle he waved & laughed, please avoid this company & we missed our pre booked tour!! I contacted the company with all my proof, they had no interest in investigating my complaint at all, so they obviously condone this type of behaviour!! read more

Can't live without them... Can't live with them. Amazing Pink Ladies and rotten Jonagolds. How can I write a review on the drivers? It's like writing one review on all AH's in Amsterdam! Cause: they all cost the same, but oh dear...are there differences. F.Y.I: (My guy and) I take a cab about 2x Amsterdam day. Yes day. Thats long (Haarlem/Schiphol) and short (Gebroeders Hartering) So this one is for the telephone service and the app and the over all non-exciting non-existing service. Yes my fellow backseat lovers: the service sucks. I've had several real problems with them, big problems. From a woman screaming at me, to non believers (i had a taxi driver touch me on my knee ones...holding on to my bag...demanding me to "pay up") and not willing to give me the taxi drivers car number. Yes. Well, I stopped him on the road, so they are not to blame/help/what ever. Also... Had a taxi driver "kick me out" because I was too drunk. I was 4 months pregnant!! I wish I was drunk!! Yes, I asked him not to talk on the phone while driving...sorry, but he was not really in control and took two wrong turns while telling his girlfriend that she should shut her trap and wait for him. Euhm... Euh. Hè? And than...it's raining cats and dogs: the app is not working...again...and you ring the lovely ladies (and one man) and all is dry within 5 minutes. I mean. They got monopoly, so they really got monopoly. Can't live without them, wish I could.. I can't. Tip? Collect about 4 or 5 drivers that you like, trust and stick to them. That's what we do. Ton, the old geezer, is my go-to every time. Than it's Hussein. Of course Michiel if it's the night and Egon for the fancy business crap. Yes, Mohammed when we need a van. They know us, we trust them. Tip them, send our kids, sometimes packages or take our own coffee mugs with us...and they take it home, leaving is on our doorstep. In the past I have had some bad taxi experience with other taxi companies in Amsterdam. The taxi service in Amsterdam on a whole have been ranked as near the bottom. So I was not thrilled of having to grab a taxi last minute to rush off to my doctor appointment, because I had a flat tire. However, I was fortunate this time to spot a decent taxi on the south-side of Amsterdam. Hopefully TCA will improve in their service, so I can continue to ride with them again. And hopefully they will be honest about their Taxi fairs. The last time this is what I wrote in my review above, however my opinion of them have changed significantly, due to bad service and lack of honesty with taxi fares. I will not be using their service anymore.If there are 6 taxi cabs of TCA on the corner I will still wait for a better and different cab. read more

TCA, I love them like a man on death row looks forward to his final meal. it's always exciting using them as you never know what kind of driver or car you're going to get. Going for an elegant meal at a two michelin star establishment? Use the TCA app and impress your partner with an old minivan that will turn up to take you there. Or even better a car that looks as if it's been dodging bullets in downtown Kabul. Some of the drivers are ok, but others are miserable gits who spend their time complaining, while having Sky radio turned up as loud as possible. Or even better spend the entire journey shouting into their smartphones. If you keep them waiting for even three minutes they'll complain like a gold digger that has to buy her own drinks. Only use them if you're in a hurry or need a taxi from taxi stand at night. Other than that I would suggest that you use Uber. read more

TCA advertises itself as the taxi service with considerate drivers, nice cars, and for being available 24/7 any time of the day. Only 2 of these points are correct. My experience with the drivers has been everything but cordial. They are like hawks, scavenging for the tourist who has to get to the furthest destination. Those who don't aren't worthy of service. Case in point - my parents visited me a couple months ago, and while I generally walk from the central station to my apartment, they had some luggage and I didn't want them to walk the distance, due to age. Hence, I *requested* a TCA driver to get us to my apartment. I actually told him that I realize it's not that far, but I don't want my parents to walk, and would actually pay a good tip/extra money/whatever. He just refused to provide service. I have heard that mine isn't an isolated case. Amsterdam really needs to establish a service culture. The worst part is that even complaining doesn't get you anywhere here. Tactics like this might have worked in an isolated world, but remember TCA management, it's all about keeping the customer happy these days, unless you're not smart. But then, the drivers are probably paid in proportion to the distance they drive, so I can't blame them, really. As always, it's the idiot management at service companies that ruins things for everyone. TCA, you need to improve. Otherwise, the competition, and yes, it is coming, will crush you. read more

Whew, I recommend only using Uber or a CTA taxi. Another taxi tried to double the cost of our short trip. Ha! Funny how he had never turned on the meter. He ended up telling us to pay nothing after we confronted him. His face looked like he'd been caught. Talked to the hotel and they said only use CTA or Uber. read more

Some TCA drivers are just completely ignorant. You can track the taxi that you ordered but when it arrives the driver will pick up the next best guests in front of you and even lie to your face. So you better don't bother to call TCA. read more

Can't live with nor live without tca. If i need a reliable taxito the airport, i would choose tca as they show up (as ordered) and get you without detours to your destination. Prices may be higher than other operators.... However, if i need to catch a flight at 5 am, i prefer reliability over price. read more

Terrible! Booked a taxi the night before for 1430 the next day online. The time arrives there's no taxi... I call and they say "oh you need a van" because there's 5 of us. My booking states that so surely they could have worked that out? If you need a van you need to call... That's not mentioned anywhere and the website provides you a drop down option for passenger numbers. I'm then told a van will be along in 5-10 minutes, 15 minutes passes still no taxi... Then told it's very busy and they can't get one. She asks when we need to get to the airport by, I say 1530 (baggage drop opened at 1600 and wanted to give some time), she says she can get me one in another 15 mins... 15 minutes passes and guess what... No taxi... Turns out she gave the driver the wrong address!!?? Complete disaster! Please avoid!! read more

poor english speaking. sent taxi to wrong address, cab driver caled and harassed me. called to the central for info and they hung up on me.
