On December 28, 2022 we had need for a handicap accessible taxi to transport our son to his son's hockey game. Your driver, Chaffee, was excellent. He arrived on time, efficiently got our son secured in the van and back out at the destination and was very courteous. He arranged with us to pick us up at the end of the game and return us to St. Paul with the same level of efficiency and courteousness. If you are handicapped and use a mobility device such as a scooter or large wheelchair, do not, do NOT, use this company! I've missed several medical appointments due to this company. Divers will break your equipment are rude and so is the company operators. I recently had hand surgery and not able to use a manual wheelchair and I'm forced to take my scooter. The driver's have broke my scooter have told me that I needed to lose weight and to get up and walk. When I tried to complain was laughed at. When I asked to speak to a supervisor was transferred to a voicemail that I never heard back from. read more

A Town Taxi driver picked me up in the Robbinsdale, MN area when I called 1-800-Taxicab while visiting the Twin Cities. The order taker was efficient, spoke English (a bonus these days) and I felt comfortable that a cab would arrive in time for me to make my other travel connections. The taxi arrived super fast - so no complaints there. But when I went out to the car, I had to basically stand by the driver window to get his attention. It was like he did not intend to move until asked to. He seemed to reluctantly get out of the car to get my bag and put it in the car. He did not even bother to open the door for me to get inside. He dropped me off on the corner, rather than in front of a door where I could easily get into my destination. Clearly, there was a sign on the door that routed people around the corner. When I tried to pay with a credit card, he hesitated and indicated it was a problem. I handed him cash, with a $5 tip -- feeling as though I was just ripped off. He got me to the destination, but with absolutely no customer service whatsoever. I would not recommend this company. I really wish now that I had not been so generous with that tip. But because my family has also worked in the service industry, I always feel obligated to tip generously. read more

I had to call the cab company 5 times between the time the cab was supposed to be there and when it actually arrived. I missed my bus back to Chicago, but luckily there was another pick up at an alternate location. I was just banking on my luck that the bus would be there. When my go to drivers are not available, I use the iHail App to book a cab. This fleet overall is the best in the metro. GPS computerized dispatching with an array of experienced drivers. Most reliable for airport trips(to or from) aside from using an individual or car service. Make sure you call(vs app) if you're going to the airport. The order goes into the system differently giving it higher priority. For other types of orders the app is most efficient. Cons: Company owned cabs are more run down than owner operator cabs. Guys renting cabs deserve to be set up for success with a well maintained cab. Because this is a big cab co with hundreds of drivers, your mileage may vary. read more

I had a 6 am flight leaving from MSP airport and scheduled a 4 am pick-up time ahead of time. I estimated the commute time is about 20 mins and thought 2 hours should be plenty of time. However, the driver didn't show up on time nor early... I waited for a good 10 mins and decided to give the company a call to see where the driver was at. The customer service agent said he was still on the way and he was the only one in the area. He will be there in 15 minutes. She asked me to wait patiently. What I don't understand is the driver was late but the agent didn't apologize at all. She made it sounds like too bad so sad there is nothing much you can do since nobody can pick up at this point. The driver finally showed up around 4:25 am. He was nice and took me to the airport without problems. However, I would recommend those who want to be at the airport on time, don't use this taxi company! read more

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. My workplace used them recently for patient transportation and after 2 hours of our client waiting to be transported back to our facility and the operator not giving us an ETA, I called back livid and had her check the location of the drivers (which she only did after I requested several times). She essentially told me the drivers didn't want to drive to the location bc it was too far (Ramsey from Minneapolis). She literally said 'well we never guaranteed that they would have a ride back, just find someone else'. Would have been nice to know before booking and especially before they spent hours waiting. Extremely unreliable, terrible customer service, do not use (especially if you are in need of special vehicles like a wheelchair van). read more

I certainly would not even give them one star, but alas, this is the Yelp requirement. I hope that the woman who was riding in Yellow Cab #044 made it to her destination in one piece! The man driving this cab turned illegally in front of me from Broadway (he was heading east) onto Johnson (to head south), and because he didn't want to yield the right-of-way to me (the light was green for both of us), actually DROVE ALONG THE WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD until he was in front of me, cutting back into the lane just before the railroad trestle. The poor lady in the back looked scared. Thankfully, there were no cars coming the other direction, as he didn't bother to look. I called the number on the back of the cab and spoke with the dispatcher who transferred me to their customer service department. As near as I can tell, that department doesn't exist. I left a message with all of the information, including my contact number, and requested a call back. As of now I have yet to hear anything from them. I can see no reason whatsoever to use a company that will endanger their customers and not respond to concerns of potential customers. read more

My mother has a standing order for Monday and Wednesday mornings to go for medical care. things went fairly smoothly until 2 weeks ago - they did not come last Monday - said she was not on "the list" even though I had just reverified with the hospital the week before that she was scheduled through February. Then today my mother callsthis morning again and said no one showed up - I called Town Taxi - they said the driver was there and my mother never showed up. my mother was inside the front door by 9:05 for a 9:15 pick up. they told me they would re-send a cab. 45 minutes later my omther calls back - no one has come yet. I called Town Taxi back and they said - no cab was ever oredered to be sent. YIKES! Then they tell me to call the hospital - and I said it's not the hospital that is messing up - it's your complany. Prior to a booking just after Christmas, I had an experience that went off without a hitch so I thought I would choose them again. Unfortunately my second experience was not nearly as good. First off, I booked a cab for 3 am which was early enough as it was, but the cab showed up nearly a half hour early. I appreciate timeliness to a degree, but if I wanted an earlier cab by that much, that is when I would have booked the cab for. Second, upon arrival at my destination, I experienced a few issues that seemed a little odd at the time that later became notable issues. To start with, there was no dome light in the cab which seemed odd as I still needed to make payment for the ride and it made that function tougher. My credit card has a chip, the device in the back seat of the car had a chip reader, and without any initial directions from the driver I inserted the card as one would when you have a chip reader. The device did not work and the driver then directed me to swipe the card. This was the moment I would later come back to where my card was most likely compromised. Eventually after swiping the card the payment went through but the driver could not provide me with a receipt. I am not sure what the official position is for Taxi Services Inc but many companies have policies where products or services are free if receipts are not offered at the time of payment. The best I could do in the moment was take a picture in a car with no dome light. Third, and this is the biggest issue of all, came when I landed for one of my airport transfers that day. Several thousand miles away from home and outside the continental US, I received a fraud warning from the credit card provider I used to pay for the cab. In the time I was in the air for two of my three flights, there were two charges made at gas stations, one fast food charge, and one grocery store charge totally nearly $500. Aside from having to deal with freezing my account, I then had to go through my trip without what is my primary credit card. I would have no problem updating this posting, but as for now I am disappointed in this experience, the "service" provided, and the consequences for having used this taxi service. I have attempted to contact a supervisor and received one call back which I missed and attempted to call the supervisor back with no luck at the time of this posting. Until I receive a call back and a refund for the taxi fare, I will certainly advise friends and family to not use this service. read more

Ordered a wheelchair accessible ride 3.5 hours in advance. After no car showed up at the scheduled time we spoke to the dispatch team multiple times and were told that the normal wait time for wheelchair vans is 30-45 minutes. When I explained that we had prearranged and confirmed the ride over 3 hours early the dispatch person was very rude, wouldn't listen and eventually just hung up on me. The van did finally arrive 90 minutes after the scheduled time. Would definitely NOT recommend using - especially for wheelchair dependent elderly people. read more

I have personally never used them, but based off of what I have seen, I never will. Driver of van 133 was in my neighborhood dropping someone off or maybe even picking them up, whatever. I'm driving about 5 over the limit. Driver of 133 was right on my bumper and then finally making a pass on the left side of me as I was attempting to make a left hand turn. He was waiting for us when we got there, polite, chatty (but not too chatty or uncomfortable), spoke great English, and it was just an overall great experience. I think his name was Karema. About 30 of there taxis went by my location while I waited. I went up to each one and asked if they were here to pick up ( my first last name). Each one said no, some said drop off only. I called the company back they said the car sat and weighted over 16 mins for me. Lie, I told her I stopped each of there cabs that went bye. She yelled at me said that my ride was canceled and hung up.... I called again and used someone else set it up like a new customer. This time we got a cab # and estimated weight time. Be careful of cheating and credit card information steal. I just had one ride from home to airport in early morning. The driver intentionally took a long route and ended up $10 more charge than it is supposed to be. Even worse, the driver claimed the credit card reader stopped working and asked my credit card to process payment. What had happened? The driver used the card information to make an unauthorized charge using another taxi company name. I had to report to credit card company about the fraud case. read more

I rode a taxi on 12/24 to the airport. When we arrived, we tried to pay by credit card. After swiping couple times, the driver told me it is not working and told me to pay by cash. I had to run to the airport to get to the ATM to get cash and run back. Since we were a bit late, we didn't get the receipt which was the worst mistake ever. Days after, I found out that I was charged with the fare on my credit card. I called the customer services and left a message (nobody answers the call, it goes directly to the answering machine), but NOBODY called me back, even after TWO months has passed. Also since I did not get the receipt, my credit card company couldn't do anything. I am very disappointed with the Taxi Services and I will NEVER ride with this company EVER. Friday I took a cab from my place to Crowne Plaza hotel. I was looking at my phone when the driver said we had arrived. I looked up and we were at HCMC hospital. Then the driver had no idea how to get the few blocks to the hotel. Total: $19 plus tip. Sunday I called for a cab at 7:17 am. It took 25 minutes for a cab to arrive. Meanwhile 3 red & white cabs stopped and asked if I wanted a cab. I turned them down thinking my cab would be arriving soon. Total $8.00. So you will either be grossly overcharged or wait forever. I called an airport taxi in advance, for an early trip to the airport (around 5:00am). The person on the phone was friendly, but the taxi was late. The driver asked me how I wanted to get to the airport. I said the fastest way possible. I am new to this state so I don't know the best route. The driver had GPS, but got incredibly lost and started ignoring the GPS instructions. It took twice as long to get to the airport as it should have. Then my credit card wouldn't work because 'the machine was broken' (which apparently happens a lot), so card payment was taken manually. Shortly after, fraudulent charges showed up on my credit card. The driver was kind and apologetic, so I don't want to blame him...but something is wrong at this company. read more

Wish I'd read the reviews before trying. I needed a cab and decided on iHail because the first taxi service I contacted recommended them after letting me know they were booked. I called, they took down my info, and everything seemed fine. When the cab called me, my phone borked and the call dropped. I called the number back and got the main line. Secretary let me know that she'd tell the driver to contact me. Half a hour went by with no call. Then I tried to use their app to rebook and a hour went by without any notifications at all. I just canceled and called another taxi service. Very frustrating experience. Killed the coolness of the app for me too. Avoid! read more

No stars or negative. . Every Saturday I go to work 6 am to 2 pm. . Every cab driver that is not from USA - Says they can never find my house. . I get up at 4 30 am. Call them at 5 am . . Doesn't get come my house till almost I have to go to work which is 6 am. . . . Either they are late or I have to wake up my mom which I am 40 years old she has a job but is retired and has to take me to work than she can't sleep in cause she works at 9 am on weekdns. . .and its been like this for the last month. . Been told you need to come outside and find me or walk to me a mile away . . When i have to be to work AT 6 am . . I call early. And can see the taxi if they pull into the parking lot. . They all say and blame it on the GPS the last 3 weeks I have be told come outside find us. . I called Taxi Services two days in advance to book van transportation for a 96-year-old wheelchair-bound friend and I to attend a Friday-evening festival church service in Minneapolis. The requested time for pickup was 6:20 p.m., and the agent taking the booking said that would be fine. That Friday evening at the nursing home in St. Paul when no van had appeared by 6:45, I called Taxi Services who told me all vans were engaged and to call back in 15-20 minutes. I did so and was told the same thing again. After two more similar calls and (lack of satisfactory) responses, we were about to cancel the evening (service start time was 7:30). When I was calling a fourth time, a van came at about 7:45. We arrived at our destination 80 minutes late, the church service more than half over. I had also ordered a van for return at 9:00 p.m. That did not appear, so I called at 9:20 and got the same result as at the nursing home. After two more calls with same result, the church had to be closed and alarm-secured at 10:15 p.m. We had no choice but to load the friend and her wheelchair into the care assistant's car, at great risk and pain to her, and at considerable expense for care assistant's time before and after the service (about three hours all told). The staff answering phone calls apparently treated us the same as customers who had just called that evening, rather than honoring the reservations made two days in advance. On (only) the last phone call, I was offered connection to a customer service message line, where I described the poor service given, but no response to my call was ever received. This is no way to run a business, and the companies involved (Airport Taxi, Yellow Cab, and Taxi Services) should be penalized in some way financially or otherwise9 (e.g., license suspension) for their carelessness. I lost a phone on Tues and the lost and found said the driver had it but wasn't going to drop it off at the office since they only stop there once a week. streesed the importance of having my phone due to my disability making trips and falls more likely and their response was "then don't lose stuff." read more
