In April of 2020 I contacted this agency to do a simple valuation of our small business. The IRS…read morerequired the valuation, and it is a one page verification form. I provided several pages of documents, and was assured that it shouldn't take too long or cost too much. I checked back after several weeks and was told it was in the works. Again, in September the same thing happened. The same happened in December, but a few days later I received a bill in the mail. There was a charge for two hours to review the documents I sent, charges for each time I called, another 2 hour charge for reviewing documents when the project was transferred to another agent. And this was not the final bill, just a "progress" bill. I am concerned about staying straight with the IRS, and here I am, 9 months later, with nothing to give to them. I finally received the valuation in January 2021, and it contains an error in one of the tables. I am hoping that they will reply to my email concerning this issue. For this year, I found another tax professional, provided them similar documentation, and received my valuation in less than a week, at far less than the Kemper group charged. I rarely post negative reviews, but felt compelled to share my experience with others.
