Ask the Community - Tax Help Network

Are the tax attorneys here accredited?

Hi Jennah, thank you for your question. We work with accredited tax attorneys on cases that require such, for example in criminal matters. Since most of the cases fall under civil matters, we have CPAs on staff who work on them.

I joined with them around 2017, when my credit score was like 550 or something. By 2018, they got…read moremy score up to 700-740! I couldn't believe it! They did it by systematically and skillfully removing bad marks off my reports from the 3 bureaus. I don't really know the inner workings of exactly how they did it - but, important thing is that they EFFFIN DID IT!! Now, I can rent a decent place or get certain types of loans (but, not all - not yet). But, I'm happy. Frankly, it just feels good knowing I have good credit - ya know!? I gave them my case to work on, because I had a good intuition about Elly and Gloria; that they could do something, online companies can't. They have 'street smarts' or 'money smarts' - I mean, hey - they're Jewish (Stereotype: Jews good with money)! They answered my calls, like 80-90 percent of the time. I had given over a thousand bucks to an online co and they did very little, over a year.

Then, all of a sudden I had to start notarizing things for myself. These files disappeared, and I could not upload them when I tried to do it digitally thank God I actually printed out these dispute letters.. hoping I'm getting some of my money worth by notarized and certified mail which I've been calling them to ask. Is this how it works can I send it in but if I were you, I would save your money. I feel bad for the people I told to use because I was an affiliate marketer, pointing people in their directions stay away from Eli Fix Credit and Tone the closer

National Debt Relief - TrustPilot Review

National Debt Relief

I joined National Debt Relief's program, making my first payment of $539 in February 2024. I made…read moremy last payment in June 2026. The payments were equal, and totaled $15,631. I originally had another debt included in the program, but since NDR had not negotiated a settlement, I pulled this one out of the program (this is mentioned because it was the largest included originally). At the time I entered the program, the amount owed to the creditors that NDR handled was $17,602. So, calculating the savings as debt at the beginning of the program that was settled by NDR minus the payments to NDR shows a net savings of $1,971. Adding to that the $38 that was in my dedicated savings account that NDR promptly refunded to me results in a total net savings of $2,009. And of course my credit is ruined, and I still have one creditor to deal with. So, was the program worth it? To me it was, even though the savings was not what I had hoped it would be. It may not be the right path for everyone, and their fees were high, but it did provide mental relief, knowing that this issue was being handled. NDR is not a scam.

The one thing I can say about this company is that they don't hide behind loan advertising and get…read morestraight to the point of debt settlement, relief, restructuring programs all the same vs debt consolidation which is a actual loan. The pitch is the same , how would you like to pay less debt each month ? This company sent me a letter in the mail and I discarded it.

Only thing I paid for was the credit monitoring (through a 3rd party) and mailing my letters but they did a great job creating my letters for free! It didn't look like a template either... looked like they crafted it to my case. Three months later and all the score dippers were gone. Hopefully I'll never have to use them again but I wouldn't hesitate to if I had to.

I decided to visit his website while bored and I was floored to find out that the service was completely free. I still had the same credit monitoring active from the last company I used. At that point there was no risk. It was refreshing to be able to see the letters they actually send to the bureaus. All I had to do was use a third party site to mail them out. I could've also printed them. The process was a breeze and it was quick. There's no option to speak to a live rep, but this I assume helps keep the service free. The results worked for me. In all it took about 2-3 months to remove the negative items, which was perfectly fine with me. Hopefully I'll never have to use them again but I'll be spreading the word to anyone I know who might need it.

In that we were getting very close to the tax return deadline date, I placed a call to the office to inquire as to what the status of our return was as we had not heard from anyone. I was told an email had been sent asking for additional information. Unfortunately, it was sent to an email. I do not use often. However, my response to that was they should have called. Their response to that was they did and our number was disconnected. They were calling an old house number from when we lived in Florida back in 2010; even though they had both of our cell phone numbers, no one ever bothered calling us. over the past month, my husband has left numerous messages for Salim, the owner, to please call as my husband had questions about a possible investment property; the return calls never came. Every time my husband called, he was told oh he'll call you either today or tomorrow, oh, his son got married and he has family visiting but he will get back to you, oh, he didn't call you. He will call you. This went on for over a month . I was also told that Donna, who works in the office, was going to drop our return off at my house, but that it would be late in the evening. I waited up she never came. the next day when I spoke to her after I called the office, she said she had her grandchildren and had taken them out. I told her a phone call would have been nice as I waited up for her. I guess they just don't need the business anymore and don't value customers from when they first got into the business. We shall look elsewhere.
