Was a client for over 5 years everything was fine until I got audited and had to pay all that money back. No one help to get me out the situation also the people I referred to them also got audited. They filed my Mother's 2022 Taxes. She later received an IRS letter auditing business expenses. My mother doesn't have a business, she barely speaks English. These people put $31k in bogus business expenses on her tax return. They also told her their fee was $400 and her refund was $5300. The bogus business expenses increased the refund to over $12k. So they pocketed over $7k without even telling her. She called the lady who prepared her return and even sent the audit letter. The lady said she would handle it. She never heard back. They ended up blocking her. My Mom now owes the IRS over $10k with interest and penalties! I was deployed in the middle east and only heard what happened last week. I will be contacting the IRS to make a complaint as well as the DOJ and the Texas AG. This place needs to be shut down, they are out here scamming old people. Cierra put false business expenses on my 2023 tax return and I kept trying to get a copy of the Schedule C but they refused, they wanted me to sign a release for the Schedule C, and I refused because that was falsified information, so they would not give me a copy of my entire tax documents. I would not refer anyone to this company if you don't want to get audited by the IRS and they are very unprofessional. Yes when you get there they seem friendly, but they are all about making money by charging a high fee to prepare your taxes, that should have been a red flag when Cierra told me how much the fee was, but I didn't think she put false information on my taxes, if I knew Cierra put false business expenses on my taxes I would have never let the Tax Doctors prepare my taxes. I cannot describe how deeply hurt I am by these folks. They welcomed us, told us they'd help us with our taxes, and charged us an enormous fee to do so. The tax filing they prepared was not accepted by the IRS. Required forms were not included so the IRS just kicked it back and added on thousands in fees. Tax Doctors refused to provide the missing pages. I had to hire a new tax firm after months of broken promises and compounding fees. The new firm reviewed Tax Doctors' work and found that in addition to missing pages, Information was not entered into the right locations and many things were blatantly incorrect. Representatives of Tax Doctors responded to my polite inquiries with abuse and unfulfilled promises to help. I've since filed new returns, paid the IRS a ton of money, and am out the thousands I paid to Tax Doctors for a return that was never successfully filed. At a bare minimum, they didn't even file my return since the IRS wouldn't accept it with the missing forms. I don't understand why they would mistreat me as a customer. Why not just file the taxes properly? They were super well paid to do so, I just can't understand why. I didn't ask them for anything crazy, or expect miracles. I just expected the return to be filed accurately and successfully. I'm naive, I think people are kind and try their best but that's definitely not what happened here. I see them giving back to the community and making wild promises on social media and I just can't reconcile my experience with those behaviors. I don't see how they sleep at night, I sure don't. I promise you don't want to work with this firm. They came recommended to us but I'm not sure why some customers get good service and some get absolutely terrible service.
