My husband and I were in a major credit bind for years. We both have stable and reliable income,…read morebut we were unable to get approved for a car, house or credit cards. It's very tough to move up on the credit ladder, we have tried rebuilding ourselves for 2 years with a small 10 point increase. After a lot of denials we scoured the web, there had to be something out there that could help us get out this dark cloud that had hovered over us for years. It seemed like forever. We have tried debt consolidations prior, but we had to pay fees for their service monthly, plus the set monthly amount. All they were doing is what we could have done on our own, we were not getting anywhere as fast as we'd like. We scoured the web and finally found the perfect company. We worked with Mike, he is very understanding and provided top notch customer service. He was with us the entire way, I no longer felt alone and now I have the credit freedom that we needed. Mike was able to remove 8 of our 18 credit inquiries, charge off's and old debt that still lingered from 10 years ago. The best part is that I was not obligated to pay a penny until something was removed. There is no other company like this one. Now we are able to get the approvals we need. We are excited to see what our future holds thanks to them.

If I could put zero stars I would!!…read more I called a number listed for LVNV Funding to negotiate a debt and was routed to Credit Glory. I clearly stated multiple times I did NOT want credit repair services--only to settle my $2,700 debt. The rep (Renee) repeatedly reassured me they would not dispute anything and would only help resolve the account, saying it could be handled for $1,500. I told her I was driving, in a rush, and couldn't review documents. She said they were only for verification, so I trusted her and agreed. Within 3 business days, I called back for confirmation and was told I had been enrolled in a credit repair program instead. Jose, a very rude account manager, refused to help with my debt and denied refunding the $698 I paid, claiming services were provided--which is false.

After my initial review, Weston Legal worked hard to earn an update to a five-star. After a long…read moreconversation with my super awesome attorney at the courthouse, I learned that most of what I was blaming on Weston Legal is actually the system itself. And let me tell you, the debt collection system is as crooked as it comes. Let me be clear, Weston Legal does the best they can within this system, which is rigged heavily in favor of the debt collectors - at least in Texas. If you get to the sued part of things I would highly recommend hiring them to help you out. But, in all honesty, it might be better to just settle before it gets there and save yourself some money. I am going to tell you my story, yours will obviously vary, and I am in Texas so this is based on that. I hope to God that other states are better. I had several cases coming up, all with slimy LVNV as the plaintiff. I hired Weston for all of them and lost all of them. At first, I was super angry and blamed Weston for this and gave them a bad review. But as they worked with me and time went on, I realized that the JP court I was subject to would always rule in the debt collector's favor because the JP doesn't, and isn't required to, know shit about how the law works. At least in Texas. For the smaller debts I had, 1300 - 1500ish, let's say, and at the recommendation of Weston Legal, I decided to settle although it made me sick to my stomach to give the scumbag leeches one single penny! It's extortion after all. (And LVNV makes you agree to not reveal the terms on top of it all! I still don't understand that one.) I want to fight every one of them all the way, personally, but I guess it doesn't work that way in every instance. But for the larger debt I had, over 6k in my case, I appealed. And once my case went to a court that actually knew how things were supposed to work, I won! The attorney I had was the best. TLDR version: I'd settle well before you had to hire WL if the amount is small enough, because that is what they will recommend anyway. That way you don't have to pay them and the settlement. If it is large enough, I say hire WL and fight! All the way to the appeal court, if necessary. I was super impressed with the attorney I met at court. She was awesome. Amounts vary and are up to your discretion. Sign my petition and let's start working to put these bastard debt collectors out of business! https://www.change.org/p/stop-predatory-debt-buyers-from-robbing-americans-blind-for-pennies-on-the-dollar

Steer clear of Weston Legal! They are lying thieves that are…read moreonly after your money. After the initial payment for months I got no updates or inputs on my case. They were supposed to goto court on my behalf to stop a 3rd party collector from suing me from a debt owed from Covid. During COVID, I was laid off from work for 7 months and that debt was charged off. I paid Weston Legal $4500.00 to fight this collection agency for a debt that had already been sold over 14 times. Aside from them sounding rude and frustrated when I called, I was receiving no updates or input on the case and later found out it's because they were doing nothing on the case. In fact, when the court date finally came all they did was settle with the debt collector leaving me on the hook for over $20,000.00! When I told them I couldn't pay that all they could say was sorry, that's the best we could do and started avoiding my calls. * Weston Legal took my money * Left me on the hook for $20k * And now my Wages are being Garnished for 42k as a result of it because they added the interests from 2020. Weston Legal are thieving Crooks! If you come across them online...RUN!
