The best Tax firm I have ever experienced, very accurate and detailed. Kudos to Nolasco and his staff for a job well done.

He was able to help me answer any questions I had. He also speaks English and Chinese, which makes it helpful for those who need translation. Overall, Anderson was very professional, efficient. I highly recommend Anderson for taxes!

I made an appointment, and no one was there when we arrived. I don't know if he forgot or ran late…read more He had us waiting outside for 10-15 minutes. He didn't get our tax return done when he said he would. Said he had a death in the family. Ok, I'm sympathetic to that. But when he finally got our return done weeks later, he made a big mistake that could've easily been avoided, which resulted in us owing $4k more in taxes, and then he had the gall to blame it on me. Considering the amount of time I spent making sure that he was working on our return and having to review it, I might as well have done it myself. The only silver lining was that his rate was low, but I also got what I paid for. (I did not provide you with two documents with conflicting info. One was a spreadsheet that I prepared that had my mortgage payments as part of my expenses. The other was the actual tax form from my lender with the mortgage interest amount which was the number that was supposed to be inputted. It was an oversight on your part. I don't take issue with how much we ended up owing in taxes. But if I hadn't caught the mistake, we would've underpaid.)

Terrible and slow communications…read more My father-in-law has been using this firm to prepare personal tax for many years, but we had a hard time getting them to respond in reasonable time this year. It took 7 days just to get someone to respond to our initial request and getting the tax preparation process started. We submitted all the info and documents (only 6 documents, simple personal tax) the same day and then nothing for 2 weeks; no phone call, no email. When we follow up with another email, they respond it is under review. Another 2 weeks past before we were sent the finished tax form to e-sign. No response for 11 more days after my father-in-law e-signed, which made us worry since the tax due date is coming up soon. We sent another email to them and they said it was e-file 2 days ago? Then why didn't they let us know it was done? There was no proof or confirmation it was e-filed either. The worst part is another staff was late sending us an invoice weeks later and said it was past due. When I responded this is the first instance we received this invoice that has the term "Due on receipt", but since they sent to us late (25 days later than last year), it shouldn't be marked past due. They said they included the invoice in the e-file tax form document. I double-check and what they included said "fee summary". Nowhere does it mentioned it is an invoice. It doesn't have an invoice #. There is no payment term nor specify how and where to send payment. There is no date specified which product and/or service has been rendered and on which date? No itemized breakdown of service price, quantity, total. In the past, they sent a separate email with an actual invoice soon after e-file and we paid them quickly on the same day. They should not ask for payment when the tax form has not been e-file even if it was a proper invoice (it was not). The fact they insist it is an invoice concern me a great deal since they are an accounting firm. Either they really don't know what they sent is not a proper invoice or they are lying to save face, either way, they made a mistake and should apologize, but instead keep insist we are mistaken when in fact they are the one who made a mistake by sending the invoice to us late this year (again 25 days later than last year). Needlessly to say I will recommend anyone consider this firm to stay far far away from doing business with them. I know I will avoid them in the future even if it is free, it is not worth the headache and hassle.

Kevin is the absolute worst CPA I have ever had. He did not do my taxes with my best interests in…read moremind and now I have to pay $17,000 in taxes instead of $11,000. That's a $6,000 difference. I wish I knew better but since my dad uses him I just trusted that he would be good. I'm not a financial expert so that's why I entrusted Kevin to conduct my financial affairs with my best interests in mind. He engages very minimally and all he asks are a couple questions through wechat and to send my financial documents. I had an independent contractor job that required me to set up a business account to get pay deposits. My new CPA told me, if I had set up my business account differently, I would have had to pay significantly less taxes. Kevin just didn't care enough or just wasn't knowledgeable enough to help me with this. He also charged double what my current CPA would've to set up my business account. When I asked him to do my taxes this year, he sent me a $1500 bill before I even sent him my financial documents and before he even did anything. I thought this was a suspiciously high amount. So that's why I have a new CPA who charges significantly less and who is extremely engaging and responsive and actually looks out for me. I wish I didn't just trust the first person that came along and sought out other options. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else because one wouldn't know until they explore other CPAs.
