Libman Tax Strategies has provided me with excellent service for the past 6 years. Adam is a professional on all levels - Extremely knowledgeable and patient. His webinars are informative, offering valuable information on how to navigate during times of such uncertainty. read more

He got my state taxes wrong, said he would look into it and stopped communication again. Then I found out he used the wrong information to apply for my son's Trump account so I got rejected. Repeated error after error with lack of communication. Really frustrated with him. read more

I've used Adam for many years. First he was my personal accountant and then I opened a business and he helped me with that. We meet quarterly and he is always clear, fast and fun. I genuinely look forward to talking to him - how many people can say that about their tax accountant?! read more

Thank you Adam Libman for the quick, clear and effective consulting, great job, much appreciated!

We were recently audited, and Adam did an amazing job guiding us through the process, representing us at the meetings, and ultimately winning the audit. I can't say enough good things about Adam! read more

I had a phone consultation with Adam yesterday and he did a fantastic job guiding me through my tax and financial questions. This was my first time speaking with him and he came across as honest and straight-forward. I'm a working professional and it was nice speaking with somebody that treated me as an equal and didnt BS me just to get me business. I'll definitely have Adam handle any tax or financial issues for me in the future. Highly recommend. read more

I hired Adam to do my year end payroll taxes ($750). He stated that he would process the payroll on the 29th of December. On the 30th, I began asking for the confirmation/documents. On the 4th, as per the attached photo, he confirmed that it had been completed and that money would come out on the 7th. The 7th rolled around and nothing happened. Finally, on the 11th of January, Adam tried to actually do the payroll taxes, but at that point I didn't want to work with him, since he lied. He laughed and said I must have misunderstood. He blamed me, instead of admitting and apologizing for his negligence. Mistakes happen. Sometimes we take on more than we can chew. We're only human after all. It was the dishonesty that really made it impossible to work with Adam. If you're too busy to complete the task on the agreed upon time, communicate that truth to the client. Don't lie about it. Trust is a necessity in this business. read more

I found Libman Tax Strategies on Yelp and decided to make an appointment to file personal taxes due to promising reviews. The online appointment process was easy. Several days prior to the appointment, I received a voicemail requesting for submission of tax documentations for review. I followed the instructions and sent in the paperwork electronically. Upon arrival, I was greeted and led into the office to meet Adam. He is a nice guy and asked high-level questions to start while pulling up my email. My email was unread. Adam quickly scanned through my paperwork and mentioned that they were not complicated enough for his $600 personal filing fee. Thank god for his honesty because I'm not about to pay that much for an easy return. Adam asked what I was looking for and even offered to do my taxes with discount at $200 in return for a Yelp review lol. I politely declined and was given a link to file for free. Overall, I wish I had asked about the cost up front and shouldn't have taken Yelp reviews at face value. I'm just happy that Adam didn't do my taxes and charged me the $600. In the end, I was able to file my taxes elsewhere by another CPA. Got my 2019 taxes filed and even got some amendments done for previous years with maximum return for less than half the price! read more

I required a tax professional and came across Adam Libman Tax Strategies! The reviews look great and I've always trusted yelp so I went down to his office and met with him. I showed up to my appointment promptly however was left in the waiting room for about 15 minutes. I had the opportunity to overhear his previous appointment upset about the disorganization and lack of accountability on the work product Adam was doing. As the previous client was leaving his office and upset about the money owed Adam offered him a small refund in exchange for a positive yelp review. This tactic seems to be disingenuous to the whole point of yelp reviews When was it my turn Adam kindly shoot me into his office and started asking me questions about my finances. As I was in process of answering his relatively high-level questions I couldn't help but notice the disheveled and chaotic office in which he conducted his business. I kept trying to pay attention to his questions all I could think of is I hope he's more organized with his work than he has his work surface. Adam is a very charismatic and kind salesman and I'm sad to say that I got suckered into using his service. Adam ended up putting me off to a subcontractor within his office and even further so subcontracted a data entry person for the accounting. Despite three rounds of letting his office try to do my books and finding countless mistakes, I met with Adam to unwind whatever services I had gotten myself into. I did ask for some money back but not all my money back to which he again asked me to give him a positive yelp review in exchange for the discount. To be quite honest I declined his discount because my integrity is worth more and I'm not gonna give a shady business a good review and sell out my fellow man and exchange for a few pennies back on the dollar I hope people read all of his reviews in the future and look for some of the signs that I mentioned of a disorganized office, subcontracting and uncountable personnel, and lastly disingenuous business practices. read more

Honestly, it was kismet founding Libman Tax Strategies via Yelp. With the Chinese New Year looming around the corner, I wanted to get my taxes done with a clean, debt-free conscious, and hopefully, a decent refund as well. However, I got more than I had bargained for... Parking and location: Spacious, free parking lot. Their building is right across from the Mercedes Benz dealership on North Santa Anita Street, and on the same side as Denny's. When I had first arrived into the office, their receptionist Nicole took all of my 2016 & 2017 tax documents for Adam Libman (the owner) to review over before meeting with me. As Adam took the paperwork, he said a quick hello to me, and headed back into his office. Afterwards, I was called in and ended up working with Ricardo, his associate first, before finalizing everything with Adam. Ricardo was nice, polite and professional. He entered in all of my tax information and answered any tax or 401K questions I had. Later on, Adam popped in to check on us, before his next client arrived. Once Ricardo was done entering in everything, I was shocked to find that I owed a lot for both Federal and State (alarms were going off in my head as to why AND how???!). Luckily, when it was time to meet with Adam, my frown turned upside down! Adam was quick to find a similar discrepancy that one of his previous clients had. He was able to show Ricardo and I the discrepancy, and afterwards, instead of owing money, I was getting a lot more refunded back, heck yea!!! *Insert happy dance!!!* As for the kismet part, the number 888 showed up in my favor. (In Chinese culture and with the Year of the Dog coming up, 888 is a lucky financial number to have and obtained). This made me so happy, definitely a kismet!!! Furthermore, Adam was able to find another discrepancy from my 2015 taxes. Afterwards, he had Ricardo looked over it again, and Ricardo found the discrepancy, and was able to amend my 2015 taxes (even happier dance!!!) I super, super, super happy!!! Service: Owner Adam Libman is definitely a fun and easy-going guy to work with. Light hearted and spirited, he's not one of those stuffy tax accountants. In fact, he's a family man with tons of pictures of his wife and kids, and even some celebs pics (especially, one of Chester Bennington from Linkin Park, R.I.P.). I felt relaxed and comfortable around him. He has funny jokes and anecdotes, definitely made the tax process painless and quite enjoyable. His associate, Ricardo is a nice, polite and professional guy. We were reserved with each other at first. However, once we start taking about our love for food, our foodie personalities just took over, heheh! Their receptionist, Nicole is a sweetie as well. She was on point with appointment reminders for clients, assisting them with payments, paperwork, inquiries and anything else that Adam and Ricardo needed. Overall, I am extremely happy that I took a chance with Libman Tax Strategies. I would totally recommend their services to everyone. Their prices are affordable and reasonable. If you hate doing taxes and/or it makes you feel nervous, come here! You'll feel really relaxed and chilled knowing that you're in good hands! Thank you again to Adam, Ricardo and Nicole! You guys did an amazing job with my first time here and looking forward to see you guys again next year! :D read more

I was referred to Adam from a Co Worker, who highly recommended him. It was easy to make an appointment. I simply called and they were able to fit me in to one of later appointments at 530. A couple of days prior to my appointment I was asked to send my documents electronically, which I did. I had a few questions regarding property , and items sold, that I added onto the ema. I received a call back, rather quickly and they were able answer those questions. Upon arrival I was greeted by a pleasant receptionist. No more then 5 minutes later, Adam greeted me, and showed me to his office. He went over my file, and we discussed viable options. In the end it was decided that the best option would be for me to file on my own. I offered to pay him for the time that it took him to gather the information and the time he sat and advised me. He surprisingly declined and even gave me a print out of what he prepared in order for me to reference when doing my own. I would highly recommend Adam. He's personable, honest and trustworthy!!! read more

Will definitely NOT be coming back!! Not recommended, I am so sorry, I just want to say the truth. The most shockingly unprofessional appearance of a Tax Preparer. Very impatient, and rude. Adam has impressed me for a number of years with his amazing emails. They are funny, and yet very informational. They are a must read. Recently a potential financial situation came up, and I was not sure who to turn to. It's potentially a nasty one, and it's not the usual CPA type of situation. I called Adam, who was very nice and took my call, explained the situation, and he was very blunt about the situation which agreed with my analysis, but said he would call around his network and see if there was some ideas. He referred me to an amazing lawyer, family friend of his, that is a bit salty, but her advice was spot on. It was such a huge relief after talking to her. The typical tax return is pretty cookie cutter, yes, Turbo Tax and ilk have had a huge impact on the tax return field. If you have a business, your taxes or even an LLC, your taxes get a little bit more complicated. Where should you register your LLC, what are the tax impacts, etc. Adam gets all that stuff. Bottom line - Adam is the go to person if you for tax and financial issues. If you want to avoid challenging situations, use Adam. read more
