When we got there, the restaurant was pretty busy but we were seated quickly. It has a nice location because it's almost on the beach and you can see the ocean when you're eating. The staff are also very friendly and even though we weren't fluent in Spanish, they explained everything to us in English. This is a tapas restaurant but it was like a buffet style. You would go up to the counter and order what tapas you wanted (finger food) and then at the end your waitress/waiter would come and tally up everything you ate and you paid the final bill. We got a wider variety of their tapas that ranged from meat to seafood and even different types of bruschetta. All of it was so fresh and tasted amazing. And the best part was that everything is priced very reasonably considering the location, quality of food, and the portions. I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for a bite to eat!

The concept is really lovely: find a table, order your drinks from a server, then, go here and there and find what you like at their different culinary stations. Every time you go to one of the counters, you pay first before receiving what you ordered, and it runs all very smoothly. Order what you want, when you want it, get up, get some exercise and socialize to and fro, too! An open courtyard adds a lovely dimension to the restaurant space, with tables scattered here, there, and everywhere, filled with all sorts of people having a good time. The restaurants that were opened were offering full meals. I just wanted a few small bites and a beer. I stumbled upon Can Tonet by accident; trying to find the Church of Sans Vincenc. The outdoor seating looked very inviting and it was a balmy sixty degree day. The menu offers traditional tapas: olives, toast with ham and cheese, calamari, traditional cheese assortments with Iberian ham, potata bravas and much more. I ordered the chicken croquettes that was accompanied by a red sauce. The croquettes were delicious; the sauce was delicious too but could have used a spicy kick. Their cocktail options were plentiful: beers (full and mini), vermouth, cava, sangria and other varietals. The zertig ( mini beer) hit the spot and was the perfect size for a midday drink. The service was friendly and accommodating. The interior of restaurant was also charming. It must be great for locals in the summer to come from the beach and linger for awhile here. The beach is about a ten minute walk. Thus, when in Tossa, dine like a local at Can Tonet.
