The people working here were quite nice, too, and there are articles on the wall proclaiming the accolades received for their tortillas... If you have never had tortilla española, then don't be fooled by the "omelette" or "frittata" appellation. Those things have different names FOR A REASON! Tortilla in Spain is an egg and potato dish that is cooked on both sides, and can include onion, veggies, and other flavors but ends up being a slice-able filling for a sandwich or delicious eaten with a fork. Regardless, this restaurant is a great place to try authentic tortilla. We shared two slices; one slice with onion and one slice with artichoke. Delicious!

It is a bit of a walk outside the city centre, but if you have extra time to spare I would try this place for lunch. Their tortillas de patatas is one of the best things I have tasted and is very reasonably priced. Sometimes I have even had to order a second portion.

This restaurant reacted extremely poorly to a terrible case of food poisoning that my boyfriend and…read moreI got there. After our meal, we became violently ill for an entire day. Still pale and feverish, we went back to inform them about what had happened. Instead of apologizing, even a single "I'm sorry that happened to you", we were responded to with suggestions on how to heal ourselves (we are college graduates) and reiterations of how fresh their food is. The food poisoning was one thing, and could happen at any restaurant, but the way it was received when reported was the cherry on top of a horrific experience.

He did not speak English but informed us that both English and Spanish were stated on the menu. Warning: this restaurant wants you to enjoy and relax while eating lunch... If you would like your food to be served faster, tell them. We started with the grilled octopus (Galicia style). This octopus was served with the skin on, much fattier than usual but quite tasty! The octopus was served with spices on top, on a bed of potatoes and olive oil. Next we had scallops... The scallops were doused in diced onions and spices.. It was an unpleasant surprise to find that the chewy part of the scallop was still intact. I ended up leaving the table right after to go floss my teeth in the restroom. The rest of the scallop was cooked just right and had the right amount of flavor. As entrées, we order the tuna tataki and sea bass (the sea bass was not on the menu - a special order). The tuna tataki was quite different than the usual... It was cut much thicker and grilled a little more (very heavy). It also had a darker shade than the pink to dark pink norm. The sea bass was amazing (served with two sauces - one yogurt, the other a sweeter soy). I preferred the sea bass to the tuna tataki as it was much lighter and flaky. For dessert we ordered the chocolate cake. Loved it. Just the right amount of sweetness to end my lunch! I would have given 5*s... But the fact I had to go floss my teeth right after having the scallops was very unpleasant. I would give this place 4.5/5. Keep up the good work!
