He had a cancellation (apparently very rare); moments later I was in the hot seat. Sal was very friendly, and even offered some tips to an out of towner- left Ridley in 2009. Guy Tavani, formerly of the Cut Hut, has opened up this barbershop on MacDade Blvd. After my first visit yesterday, I know I won't be going anywhere else for my cuts. Well, I'll admit that I knew that going in. Guy has been my barber for nearly 5 years, and he's been the best barber I've ever had. I had to follow him here. But what's even more important is that he knows what it takes to be a good professional barber, and he has put together a staff of barbers here that really know their stuff. You'll never set foot into SuperCuts again after one haircut here. If you can't get an appointment with Guy (he books up fast), you'll be in good hands with anyone here. I absolutely love their straight razor shaves with the full hot towel treatment. Gentlemen, if you've never had a real barbershop shave, it is something you have to partake of at least once in your life. And the best part of it all... full shaving treatment here is now $25. That's cheaper than it used to be across the street, and every bit as good of a service. It will be the best money you've spent all week. Places in the area like Shaving Grace in Exton and The Art Of Shaving in King of Prussia & Philly charge $65 for the same haircut and traditional shave combo. I'll guarantee you that the service they perform here at Tavani's will be every bit as good as you can get at those places. My full haircut with the shave here was $45 combined. Plus, what I consider the best part of the experience... these guys like to joke around and bust some chops (especially John). It's a total barbershop experience. I was screamed at when arriving late & asking for someone to cut my hair. I heard great things about this place but my experience was very different. I went to 603 MacDade, the address google lists for this business, but it was the wrong address. Their address is 603 West Macdade. I was 16 minutes late, and when I came in to the shop asking for the next haircut appointment, I was full-on yelled at by the barber. He threw a total fit yelling at me in front of several customers including a 5 year old, because I was late and was asking for a haircut from the next person who could take me. I am a small business consultant and really don't like writing a review like this, but if you can't keep yourself from screaming at people who make a mistake and are tying to reschedule with you, I don't know how you can run a service oriented business. read more

I made an appointment online and the same day I was able to get in for a beard trim. Rachel was my barber, and she gave me exactly what I described and gave time and attention to the details of a good beard. It's honestly one of the best beard trims I've had. I haven't done many reviews ..I actually haven't done one in years, but these guys deserve to be praised. When I was in grade school I went to a salon. In college a friend cut my hair and I learned to really enjoy having trimmed, clean hair and getting it cut often. I graduated college, headed home, I was told Tavani's was place to go. I went in a little unsure what to expect because I've never really been to a barber shop. The atmosphere is great and very clean. The guys working there are friendly and outgoing, and most importantly, they give an awesome cut. They also paid special attention to my beard, which was imperative. So anyway, if you're looking for a quality cut, go to Tavani's. Like I said I'm not really the textbook barbershop dude, but I can't see myself going anywhere else. read more

Just had my haircut done for the first time here by Sal and I have to say I will not be going to any other place to have my haircut. Place was clean as could be everyone was real cool. They even wash everyone's hair for free before you get a cut. I've been going to the same barber for 12 years but this place is top notch and I won't be going anywhere else. I've been to a lot of places in the area, including some other shops that have won numerous awards from the city and counties. I can say that this place is better than all of them. i have been going to tavani's since they open because they are the best around , you just don't go in and get a hair cut it is always very inviting and you always have some good laughs. A few weeks back my brother was getting married so we decided to try out one of there shave parties that we have heard about and it worked out awesome there was about 12 guys in total that needed cuts and shaves and they not only gave us great hair cuts and shaves but they made it fun they stayed open late let us bring food and drink in and it really was like a hair cut party , they also had some good older music playing gave it the old time barbershop feel ..everyone there had a great time i would recommended it to anyone that asked , one more thing the shop stayed open till 11pm that night to get us all done properly and didn't complain once if that isn't professional and more important loyal i don't know what is !!!!! read more
