Me and my wife we just went for a regular check up , an annual check up . We are both healthy individuals and was New patients at this office. They Never Disclosed a $415 new patient fee each, for me and my wife . That's a $830 for just being new patients . We had a hefty medical bill that had we known what it would cost us with our Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance we WOULD HAVE STAYED AWAY FROM SOTROP JAMES A MD office and not TO MENTION we were NOT EVEN seen by Doctor Sotrop. We were seen by a NURSE. Well we had a terrible experience and will NEVER return here at this doctors office.

When I CALLED EVOLUTION they were so helpful and when I arrived the place was beautiful, they were all just as nice as you could imagine and the doctor was super cool and most importantly informative, patient and caring and seemed really well educated... he's a bit younger so it seemed as though he is more current and relevant in the practice of medicine...Honestly I told all my friends and family that live in the area to be sure to schedule their next doctor appt with him. I have now scheduled three or four different visits with Dr Dowdy.... both doctor and staff are always so caring and attentive... I never feel rushed and The doctor really engages in conversation with you instead of it feeling so one-sided... Dr Dowdy has even called me himself to check in on me... I called that week on Tuesday - Wednesday - Thursday to receive my mom's office notes to give to the nurses where she lives (it's required)--the receptionist told me every single day that the notes were not available as of yet?? What - then on Friday she stated that the doctor was out of the office for the July 4th weekend? REALLY? I followed up on the next Monday - Tuesday - Wednesday and still they were NOT ready? REALLY?
