Tatty Devine was the brain child of Harriet Vine and Rosie Wolfenden, who met studying Fine Art at Chelsea School of Art in 1996. They sell almost everything you can think of, Jewellery & accessories, clothes, shoes & bags, cards, books, magazines & badges. All kitsch, colourful and unique. Plastic-fantastic collections, for eccentric individuals.

I LOVE Tatty Devine!!! So when I was down visiting a friend one of the only things I wanted to do was to to Brick Lane and visit the tatty store. Me and my friend wandered up Brick Lane and we ended up at what we thought was the end of the road as all the shops and cafes stopped but we headed in a little further and there she was.. The most beautiful sight to any mad tatty devine store. This was the original store but they now have one in covent garden and inside Selfridges. The store is small but all the jewellery is displayed well. I was so excited to finally be there that I couldn't choose what I wanted, my friend tried to help and asked me to narrow it down, she gave up when I narrowed it done to about 20 pieces.. Eventually I bought the volume badge. It was lovely to see all the pieces in the flesh rather than on a computer screen. Staff were lovely and helpful.. It really was an amazing visit.

Review Highlights - Tatty Devine

The sales assistant was so lovely and chatted to me for ages about the jewellery among other things.

OK, I confess, I only remembered to pop into Luna & Curious for a browse yesterday because of all…read morethe hoo-ha surrounding Peaches Geldof's 'alleged' recent shoplifting incident in this little Brick Lane boutique. Celebrity spawn and their 'alleged' misdemeanors aside, Luna & Curious is a charming and diminutive boutique stocking a mixture of vintage one-offs and contemporary designs along with a good range of jewellery and some utterly whimsical porcelain. Staffed by the kind of sweet girls with kindergarten haircuts that seem to rule in hip places like Brooklyn's Williamsburg, Luna & Curious is a beautifully realised little shop and a joy to visit whether you're looking to buy or simply browse.

They have some cool quirky objects for the home as well as brilliantly restored vintage furniture and bejewelled, frilly and flamboyant, as well as simple and sleek, clothing. I love some of the ceramic pieces they sell in here too and the antique stuff is fabulous. This place has great style and a great eclectic vibe going on which adds a spark of glamour to Brick Lane. I've even heard that Natalie Portman has visited and bought from this little boutique. It's definitely worth a look but don't be surprised if some of the prices are over budget.
