tattoo artist (CRYSTAL SWANN) was rude and overpriced, got mad when we tried to change the location of the stencil so we could put it in the right spot and told us we should've already known where we wanted it to be before we came in as if that's something we should have exactly known before seeing it on us via stencil. overall very negative experience, real actual professional tattoo artists would have charged less and acted better! read more

Came in last month for a bachelorette night. We all wanted a piercing of some sort. One of the ladies called a day before to make sure they were expecting us. Everyone at the front was so nice. They wore masks and we were required to do so as well. We filled out paperwork, paid and selected our jewelry, a nose ring for me. They sent us outside and we could only go in individually. This part sucked a little because we had no support system during the piercing... but we understood and also appreciated the precautions that were being taken. Tava the piercier took good care of each of us. She took her time and answered questions that I had once I got in the back. I asked not to see the needle. She obliged and kept me informed and calm during the process. It was quick, gentle, with little pain. I was given aftercare documents and a date that I could come back for follow up if I needed to. Overall we got 2 nose, 2 belly button, and a tragus ring. Everyone was pleased. My sis had to stop back in the other day after her diamond fell off her post. They examined her and told her that it was still swollen and couldn't be changed yet. But they have her replacement jewelry and advised that she can come back in a couple months to let them change it. read more

Have gotten my nose pierced here a couple of times and I'm very pleased with this business! I had no issues with my piercing, I simply forgot to put it back in. Both times, I walked in without an appointment and the piercer was able to accommodate me after a short wait. The shop and piercing areas were clean and well lit. The piercer opened sterile equipment in front of me and wore gloves the whole time. She also cleaned my nose with betadine; I've never had a piercer do this before but made me feel extra confident in the cleanliness of the entire procedure. She was friendly and made sure I understood how to care for my piercing before I left. If I let my hole close up again, I'll definitely go back!! read more

Came in with my family to get my 16 y/o daughter nose pierced. She asked for her bday last month. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant. They were professional and thorough. The paperwork was easy to fill out and the kid part was a little too much. There's no way a kid will know their medical history so I found that part pointless. The be room was clean and sterilized. We weren't allowed to film but we could take pictures. She explained the complete process to Kylah as she went. She told her how to care for the piercing and gave us printed instructions. We bought a cleaning spray as well for an additional $15. The piercing was $40. Kylah didn't cry but she said it hurt like hell but she loves it. lol. She asked us to come back in a week so she can check the healing process. I loved that added tlc. I loved their professionalism. I am thinking of going back to inquire about a cover up. Got my first tattoo there 2 weeks by Justin and was really happy with his work and the whole process. He did an amazing job. Did exactly what I wanted. He spoke with me the whole time and got my mind off of it which really helped. As he warned me once you get one you'll be back for more and I was. Came back for some more work this week. Justin was out of town so he had Tim Kruger do it. Tim did a phenomenal job too. Also did exactly what I wanted. Experience was just as great as the first time. Already planning more and would have either of them do it. I recommend this place for sure and both of these guys. You will be extremely satisfied with either of them doing your work. read more

Ok so.. my daughter wanted her cute little nose pierced. We looked and even waited for over a year because I don't trust just anyone with her nose. Tattoo Expression came highly recommended so we went to talked with them and just get a feel for the shop. We had questions and they had answers. My daughter felt comfortable and I did too. Tava was super informative and asked a bunch of questions of my daughter... did she want to eventually wear a hoop... those kinds of things. I really believe it was a HUGE benefit to have a woman do it. She was familiar with the female face.. well because she's female. I'm not slightIng the fella but it worked for us. She was very patient and took her time. She reassured my daughter every step of the way. She was great!! Once it was done, she told us to come back in a week and let her check it and such. She also told us that when we got ready to change the jewelry, come back and she'd help with that too! We've since sent three others to see her!! I thInk my only complaint and it way I gave them four stars, they smoke inside the shop OR they smoke too close to door ways. As someone who has allergies to cigarette smoke... I accidentally knocked my nose ring out, and it got too swollen for my stud to go back in. By the time I called around and found a piercer available, which was Tattoo Expression!, it was starting to close up. They were so friendly on the phone and the piercer was absolutely clean, knowledgeable, and amazing. She was really helpful and kind. So glad I found this place. I haven't gotten a tattoo here (yet), but would recommend them wholeheartedly for the piercings! And, by the way, avoid the one in Five Points at all costs. You won't be sorry you drove to Pelham. My friend and I went to get pierced here and to say the least we will never step foot in this place again. She was getting an industrial and a tragus piercing. I got a 5th lobe and a cartilage piercing. Her experience was by far worse than mine and possibly the worst I've ever seen. Her industrial piercing was gushing out blood, so we went in and they cleaned it up. The piercer tava blamed it on hair being caught in the bar (which didnt make much sense due to the amount of blood coming out). She then said she would "move the piercing closer to the ear to prevent that from happening again". Well a day later her ear is gushing blood all the way down to her neck and it wouldn't stop. So we went to another shop which we were told hair was NOT the issue at all. The industrial piercing bar was way too short, the jewelry was cheap, and it was pierced at a bad angle. Her tragus piercing? Fell out and had significant swelling and bruising. It was because again the bar was too short and the jewelry was cheap. The piercer we went to actually said that was the worst cause she had seen in 16 years. Also this shop told us to use soft soap for aftercare, which didnt make much sense because it kills good and bad bacteria which would actually make the healing time longer. They also tried to give my friend medical advice and tell her to take 800mg of ibuprofen every 6-8 hours. Thankfully I am a nursing student and she did not follow that advice as that couldve put her in the hospital for numerous amounts of reasons. I actually have to pay to get my cartilage peircing re done because she used really cheap jewelry, a bar that is too short, the gauge is too small, and it is pierced at a bad angle. Thankfully my lobe piercing is ok, but the piercer (who again is very experienced) said it looked like I got them pierced with a gun and not a needle. It's even more dissapointing because they charge about the same as other shops do but the jewelry is so cheap they shouldnt be allowed to charge as much. What's dissapointing is my friend paid 105 dollars not including the aftercare solution (which we were told not to use because it is not good for the piercing), and after her horrible experience she had to pay more to get it fixed (50 bucks). I paid 70 bucks and I strongly feel like we deserve money back. Honestly I wouldn't be so cruel if it wasnt for the AWFUL experience my friend had, the cheap jewelry, and the shitty medical advice that they should not be giving. Please go to another shop!!! read more

I got my nose pierced and the price was a little steep. Overall the staff was helpful and not rude. The lady who pierced my nose asked if I was going to wear a ring later on and I said yes, she then proceeded to pierce my nose super low. Wearing a stud is fine but if I wear a ring it looks like it hangs off my nose. This was my first piercing and I was not aware of how much the placement would bother me.
