I absolutely loved this shop! I have a few friends that rave about it so I made a point to travel out that way. Disclaimer like other reviews mentioned I would not consider this an antique shop. But it was cozy, friendly, and adorable. Plenty of home decor and gifts. The staff was friendly and suggested I check out their other location just down the road if I hadn't yet. I didnt even know of a second shop so I was so glad they didn't assume I knew and shared the info! The second location in the family dollar plaza was much more of an official branded shop. Huge and bright with a ton more options. I ended up getting gifts for the holidays but I'm excited to revisit in different seasons to see how the merchandise changes. read more

This store is ridiculously adorable and dare I say the Magnolia Market of Western New York. You could spend hours in that store and still probably not see everything they offer. There is a mix of antiques and new products. There are so many cute things, I could have went crazy in there. I absolutely love this store. I went in on a whim after seeing posts on Instagram and a friend telling me how much she loved this place. I didn't realize that the two stores the Barn and the Mercantile were so close. When I google Tattered Tulip it brought me right to the Barn. The second location didnt come up as an option but thankfully the staff reccomend that you continue your visit by stopping into the Mercantile. I must say I loved the overall aesthetic. When I first pulled up to the barn it gave me the idea of antiquing. As if I had to go in with a specific look or style in mind. I however was introduced to so many amazing styles, designs and themes. There were so many types of decor that would fit a modern home, industrial, barn and more. It was very pleasing to see the way in which the store was styled. I get easily overwhelmed trying to decorate my house because I just don't know where to start or how to get that perfect HGTV look. I worked with and talked to Charity and Lisa (the owner) and they were amazing!! Charity helped me find the perfect candles for myself and another as a gift. Lisa helped me pick small pieces of decor to start with and then build on. I can't say enough about the store and my experience. I can't wait to start my Christmas decorating. I have so many ideas and I will absolutely be back for more holiday decorating as well as everyday decor. read more

The name was so off-putting to me, I didn't want to come in to the Tattered Tulip. Tattered was probably the sticking point for me. But how glad I am to have gotten past that! It's one of my favorite places to peruse. It's so relaxing to browse and see how artfully decorated each of the "Tulips" are: there are three locations! Lockport's The Barn and The Mercantile and Home on Niagara Falls Boulevard in Tonawanda. In a nutshell, it's a home goods store. But with really neat stuff to make your house a home. One of those "something for everyone" kind of places. The items range from unique, arty, creative and sophisticated to kind of dorky - and that's okay! There are seasonal decor and fragrances for by the sink. From home makers to hostess gifting, here is your Mecca. Vases that are interesting with arrays of paper flowers that look divine await your happy eyes. You can't help but feel happy in here! The scent is as welcoming as the displays. There are pottery items, Papier-mâché pots, farmhouse decorations, plates, marble cutting boards, mugs, Mudpie children's clothing, Buffalo Bills home cheering section decor - but of course any of this can change, so if you see something you like? Get it! Lastly, the associates are most kind and courteous. Your purchase is carefully wrapped for the ride home and placed in a sturdy Kraft paper handled bag for sneaking into the house when you get home. read more

This small, local business is so cute and fun! It's perfect for all your rustic, farm house decor. From the outside, you would never know how quaint and beautifully decorated it is. There's some fun items I found to add to my displays, like the eggs and faux s'mores! My friend got some really cute Halloween decor. I wish I would've made it before they switched over seasons. Meh. This became another case of Yelp telling me it was an antique shop, but antiques aren't exactly their main focus. Don't get me wrong, I really loved the decor they were selling here. I'm all about that rustic vibe. I was expecting a little more antique though. It seemed that most (if not all) of the antiques were strewn out across the lawn and essentially thrown on the porch. I walked through that stuff to see if there were any good pickings, and it was apparent that everything had just been left out to the elements (and I know for a fact that the elements have been very brutal these past few weeks). Doesn't make for keeping the integrity of the product. Very, very bad thing to do if you consider yourself an antique dealer. The word I'd use to describe the inside is loud. The place seemed just packed with all sorts of (new) rustic decor, with anything from salt and pepper shakers and fake flowers to old-looking framed artwork, indoor-outdoor stuff, and literally anything you could think to have a farm animal be on. Lots of inspirational quote stuff, calligraphy signs, etc. All the stuff here was pretty reasonably priced. But I feel like it was just too much for me to really handle. It became really hard for me to actually pinpoint anything I might find a little bit of use for. I ended up getting so frustrated with that fact that I decided to just leave. The only reason I give this place an extra star is because when I arrived there, it had been about a half an hour after the place was supposed to open, and the doors were still locked. I was given word from someone in contact from the owner - she'd apologized for being so late, and offered to give a 10% discount to everyone waiting in the parking lot if they decided to stay. I thought that was a very kind gesture as a business owner. I didn't end up buying anything though. I might give this place another try sometime in the future, but I'm not really itching to return. read more

This place has a lot of decorative items for the household. We stopped here to look, and ended up leaving with a lot of fall decorations. Even though this place is small, it is cluttered with a lot of items. This makes for a good outing for a couple of two. I wouldn't advise bringing children here if they are the curious types which like to touch everything and/or run around. read more

This is one of my all time favorite home decor stores! While I don't make it out to the Lockport area often, when I do, I try to work in a pit stop here. There are so many unique items (both general and seasonal) in the store that you don't even know where to start! With everything going on with COVID, they have switched over to a Friday night live weekly event where patrons can purchase items online and schedule a curb side pick up that same weekend. Definitely worth filling them on social media and when all this blows over, take an hour or so and Enjoy the store front! read more

Driven by for many years and decided to stop in and glad we did. Don't let the outside scare you off, thinking this is just a bunch of old antiques. The inside is a charming space full if decorations, , chachqa, and other pottery barn items at TJ maxx prices. Great shop to find unique gifts for your home or that hard to buy for friend. Stopped here on a Sunday with my mom to do some antique shopping. Everything is so unique here and set up beautifully. There was so many rooms and an upstairs filled with neat items to purchase. The store is filled with rustic/country decor, which is exactly my taste. Occasionally they have items repurposed, which is nice. Not exactly sure what was outside in the yard it looked very cluttered and I didn't have the patience to look through that. The staff is helpful and the owner is so helpful and wants to help you achieve your vision. In the end I left Tattered Tulip feeling so inspired! I will definitely be back to shop more! read more

Closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The Tattered Tulip is a nice, cozy place that houses antiques and country gifts. The decor is charming. It has a country motif, so there's a lot of roosters and teacups decorating the building. It also have bunches of twigs tied together in uniques patterns. A lot of time has been put into this place to make it beautiful. Among the gifts they sell are candles and mixes. The mixes are for dip and soup and if you go during one of their sales they usually have them available to sample. Once they had homemade donuts. Yum! The glassware is beautifully displayed. They are mixed together with tiny fairy lights to highlight their sparkle. Other antiques include old dolls, sad irons, darning eggs, and other things you'll typically find in an antique store. I once bought a vintage pair of cat eye glasses in great condition. So if you are looking for antiques or gifts, the Tattered Tulips is a good place to visit. They have two floors of items, plus a lovely display outside featuring outdoor decorations. Some thiings are more than fairly price, but some are quite expensive. But they do have some unqiue items that you won't find elsewhere. read more

OPEN DURING THE WEEK (NOT CLOSED ON TUESDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS) I bought an awesome piece of furniture here. A nice tall solid wood bookcase, really beautiful and at a great price. Lisa was awesome and can help you find what you're looking for if its something particular you are after. The place is full of large and small pieces from furniture to decor. I'd say it's a mix of Restoration Hardware (ask about the custom tables!!) and Crate&Barrel and Pottery Barn but with better prices. Lisa is expanding so I imagine its only going to get better and better! read more

From what I understand, Tattered Tulip has been harassing elderly people for parking in the handicapped parking spaces in front of their store! Apparently they are using the handicapped parking spaces as a loading zone instead of using the loading dock in the back of the store. One elderly lady was yelled at by a man for parking there. He told her she wasn't allowed to park there. They need those spaces for their trucks! What kind of person does that? And what kind of man would yell at an elderly woman! Tattered Tulip is not a place I'd want to do business at! Not good people! read more

This was a favorite location for many years but Isno longer. The new owner has added on a massive addition. Outside it looks like a junk shop with piles of junk in front of the entrance. It looks scary- I almost left... probably should have. The new version of the Tattered Tulip is 3% antiques and 97% trendy designer ware in mass quantity. This will appeal to the folks looking to have the Joanna Gaines look but not for any serious antique collector. I will not return here! read more

Stopped in here for their "Winter Fest." They have a weekend in November where they release/showcase all of the new winter/holiday items in the store. They play Christmas music and serve free cookies. There are no sales or deals. It was packed. Could hardly move. Definitely would not go back there during any type of "fall fest" or winter fest weekend. The store has lots of great new rustic/country home decor. Occasionally they have "old" re-purposed items. I'm not exactly sure what is happening outside on the yard or porch. Looks like some old antique items, but no prices were labeled. read more

I drove by this location for years and never stopped. Decided to go and see what was inside. A really cute shopping experience lots of home decorator items to choose from displayed very creatively. This is the best place!!! My sister and I grew up in Olcott as children and go back every now and then to see how things change! And came across Tattered Tulip and thought the outside looked so interesting, so we stopped and so glad we did we are on our 4th trip back since Labor Day!!! The inside is so beautifully decorated with so many different and beautiful crafted item's and the prices are pretty reasonable also!
