I encourage each person to ask questions , explain what your looking for , but to have realistic goals with reasonable expectations. "Disorganized, unsafe hormone care at a med spa disguised as a medical clinic."…read more I rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others about my experience with Profiles Laser & Medical regarding hormone replacement therapy (HRT). From my very first visit in December, the provider seemed scatterbrained and distracted. Despite serious health concerns (hysterectomy with residual endometriosis, spinal cord tumor history, ongoing hormone deficiencies), my treatment has been handled more like a med spa add-on service than true medical care. Key issues: * Unqualified staff handling medical intake: My "front desk" contact and the person who weighed me, took my vitals, and gathered my medical history turned out to be an aesthetician/laser tech, not a licensed nurse or medical assistant. This was never disclosed up front. * Delayed and inconsistent communication: Messages and emails often came weeks late, sometimes signed by the provider but sent from the aesthetician, which was very confusing. * Poor hormone management: Instead of adjusting carefully, all three hormones (estradiol, progesterone, testosterone) were doubled at once based on outdated labs. This led to massive swings in my levels -- from dangerously low to excessively high -- with no timely re-testing. Requests for labs at 6-8 weeks were dismissed, leaving me symptomatic and in the dark for months at a time. * Provider focus elsewhere: The main clinician splits time between a hospital job and this spa, and a location in Franklin and it shows. Patient care feels like an afterthought. Bottom line: Hormone replacement therapy requires careful titration, close follow-up, and trained medical professionals. This clinic operates like a beauty spa that dabbles in hormones. If your health is on the line, I recommend seeking care elsewhere with a full-time, specialized hormone provider who takes patient safety seriously.

The scheduling process was a bit confusing because there is no general answering machine inbox, or a way to schedule with a real person, they have an answering machine that requires you to just pick someone and leave them a message (which I did). I picked Erin because I saw someone else liked her. Ha! Good enough for me. Luckily, she wrote me a text back after not being able to reach me back via phone and we were able to confirm the appointment. I prefer texting over phone tag :P Bonus. The venue itself is quaint but suffices. This is not your frill spa, but rather a working skin care salon. The facial itself gets 5/5 (and the afterglow!). By far the best facial I've received, much attention to shoulders, neck, face as well as an easy extraction process. My skin still feels vibrant and it's been three days. Erin took time to get to know me and said she'd email me over some information. I'm still waiting on that but either way I definitely recommend her and Skin Logica Spa. I'd pick a good facial in a mediocre salon over a stupid one in a fancy spa any day! So, summary: Venue: 3.5 Scheduling: 3.5 Facial: 10 Final rating: 5

I was able to make an appointment and come in without waiting months like other dermatologists in the area. When I arrived, I was greeted so kindly and was given a tablet to sign in and put in all of my information. The lobby was pretty full and I could tell that the wait time was going to be longer than expected, which it was. I had an appointment for 2:30pm and wasn't placed in a room until around 3pm, so do be prepared to wait past your appointment time. My dermatologist was Ashley Joines and she was exceptional. After looking at what I had been worried about, she let me know that I was clear, which was a huge weight off of my shoulders. However, she did find other skin issues during a full body check and prescribed me a couple of ointments. I have yet to go back because of course, White Coat Syndrome, and because those skin issues didn't clear up, I need a biopsy. Yay. So I need to figure out a day to go back (or go elsewhere) they're closed on weekends and they close at 4:30 during the week, which is very inconvenient for people who work. If they were open later/on weekends, I would definitely come back. Ashley made me feel absolutely comfortable during the entire body check.
