The staff is always great to work with. The first time we ordered the steak, Gouda Mac & cheese and their brownie. The servings were large enough for leftovers. Steak was fantastic and so was the Mac & cheese. The brownie was cake like and delicious. The bread that came wit it was a focaccia and rolls. Everything was packaged great and they were delivering at the time. The second time we had salmon, Mac & cheese, salad with goat cheese and ordered the brownie. The salmon was so good and it comes with this amazing sauce. Mac & cheese is great. One of my faves is the salad with goat cheese and really can be a meal in itself. They forgot our brownie but gave us two cake pops and a cookie. Cookie was fantastic. We are not cake pop fans but it was good. They now offer pick up and it was super easy. Highly recommend ordering from here.

I wish I knew her name but the female bartender was the star of the show! When we realized we didn't have a mixer 30 minutes before cocktail hour she went and got more for us. She also picked family out of the crowd and was SO attentive to them and prioritized my mom and mother in law especially, which they will never forget. As they were setting up all the wait staff were so kind and uplifting, they genuinely seemed like they were happy to be a part of our day. I would use Daily Dish over and over again I just can't say enough good things about them! We feel so lucky to have found them.

I've thought long and hard about preparing this review of our family's experience with Chef Rima's…read moreteam at Taste of Perfection. I've held off for too long - our daughter's wedding celebration for 175 people at the Tennessee State Museum was held in September, 2023. About a year in advance, we met with Chef Rima, she helped us craft a terrific plated dinner with options for our guests - we attended a tasting and were delighted with the menu and the food was delicious. However, at every step leading up to our event, the Taste of Perfection team's poor communication and inability to respond to questions with clear responses made the lead up to the event stressful and led to avoidable complications the night of the event that left my family angry and disappointed. Having spent over $25,000 on catering and staff for this event (including $1,300 of additional charges for 'responding to emails' - emails initiated by me and our wedding planner to share updates and secure clarification of catering needs), I had high expectations for a terrific, flawless catering service. In fact, my 175 guests were not served the meal we were expecting - the salmon was cold, dry and undercooked, the green beans were watery, the roasted potatoes were cold. The Taste of Perfection team did not have adequate working equipment to prepare meals for my guests and vendors in a timely manner. Their lack of preparation and poor communication made it impossible for our wedding planner and the staff at the Tennessee State Museum to anticipate their needs and problem solve effectively prior to and during the event. Despite having a detailed schedule prepared by our wedding planner a month before the event, the catering team was not ready to serve dinner at the designated time - the band left the stage and announced that dinner would be served and over an hour later many guests were still not served - including my husband and me. The vendors also were not served in a timely manner - our wedding planner ordered pizzas for our vendors so they could return to the stage. In sum, our experience with Taste of Perfection was a disaster. Their inability to communicate effectively with me, my wedding planner, and the venue staff to ensure that our event ran smoothly; their lack of providing the proper equipment to successfully prepare a meal for a large event; and their failure to prepare and serve the food as promised in a timely manner for our guests and our vendors, were beyond disappointing. I would not recommend hiring Taste of Perfection catering service.

I mean it isn't like the slow cooker is anywhere nearby or that they've got room for even a green egg up in the truck. We caught Smoke Et Al outside Yazoo Taproom on a recent Friday night (they're Friday night regulars outside Yazoo or Jackalope - which are barely a block from each other). The main menu consists of 1/3 rack of dry rubbed smoked ribs, smoked pork "ham" burger sandwich, brisket tacos (and for the gluten-free among us they have corn tortillas in addition to the normal flour stuff), and a smoked dry rubbed chicken. As the name suggests everything is smoked.... that includes the veggies that go on each of the mains and includes the side dishes. The beans and the "potato salad" both are the two sides I can recall from memory and both were smoked. So, what'd we have? Well, my taste buds were tantalized by the brisket tacos. Each flavorful smoky bite bathed my mouth in awesome. The brisket was moist and tender as it should be, and the tomatoes (which I would usual just "say no" too) were delightful because of their smoked nature. You could taste a hint of the soft goat cheese and cilantro used as toppings for the tacos. Chin dripping in delicious, I turned to the side of beans that I had chosen as my side with my two tacos. Holy magic beans, Jack, were they ever smoky, onion-y, and fulfilling. Greatly enjoyed by my tummy. My companion also had the aforementioned brisket tacos and also on corn tacos. Her chosen side was the potato salad - which is not what you would expect. Instead it is fresh cut potatoes, smoked until soft like little wedges, and accompanied by applewood smoked bacon bits and onions. Since, I tried 'em, I'll comment for my wife. YES! That's all you need to know. I highly recommend trying out this food truck. I hear they'll be between 3rd and 4th on Broadway during New Year's Eve this year. Give them a whirl.

I've been back to this truck a a few times and I am ready to proclaim this the best pulled pork…read moresandwich I have had in Nashville. Truth be told I would prefer it with just a bit more smokey flavor but I like my smoked meats to taste like a barn fire. So much so that I am sure others would think it is too smokey so having said that I think they have found the perfect balance here. What really makes this sandwich shine is the sum of all the parts - the bun, red cabbage, giant pile of pulled pork, and the sprinkled seasoning not only looks beautiful but tastes triumphant. It really is a thing of beauty and I almost wanted to stare at it longingly for a great length of time before ruining its appearance. As for the sides. the potato salad was alright but not remarkable. The real star though is the fried okra and 'bama white sauce. The first time I saw it on the chalkboard menu I thought it said 'bomb white sauce. In reality bomb white sauce might be a more apt name because it was really, really, really good. The okra itself left just as much of an impression - long, whole okra (not sliced) with a nice breading and huge salt granules. It was quite delectable. So far, I think this is in the running with Riffs as the best food truck in Nashville.
