The snacks are my favorite items to grab here and I definitely like that the goods are extreme expensive. Delifans is exactly the type of shop that are springing up all over town. Its not a huge supermarket as such but a modest store that sells everything: steaks, lamb shanks, seafood such as fresh oyster, lobsters, scallops and a freezer than contains everything you would see at a Michelin 3 star. Apart from these fresh produce, they also sell the condiments, cooking seasoning and some other items that just aren't generally available here in Hong Kong. You will see, for example, a lot of hotpot specials during the winter seasons and specific brands of udon are sold here. The prices, naturally, will be dearer than those you see in supermarkets but then again the quality of products is also much better. I'd like to think that given its obscure location (in the middle of an industrial section of San Po Kong) that they have already kept their prices down given the cheaper rent. To save yourself a trek you don't have to come here in person- you can fax your order, order by phone or even order online. They will do a free delivery with purchases over 1000 HKD but trust me that's not hard here. So treat yourself better, afterall, you are what you eat.

I wouldn't say that it's just a convenience store because it had a bit more merchandise than just grab and go snacks. There were cookies, Candies, and 3 in 1 coffee packets. I was surprised to see marshmallows with Brown from Line Friends. I had to get it for Kathy H.! LOL! We looked in another 360° and found Brown marshmallows, but no Cony... Sad... Haha! This store was a bit crowded with narrow aisles, customers, and staff restocking the shelves. It was an educational experience!

Here they have just about any type of fun items and though it's not massive it's a lovely place to find something that even the local convenience store won't have. This particular Wellcome is conveniently placed down the street from the Causeway Bay MTR, a little further down the street from a ton of buses, and a taxi queue is right outside. Easy to find and open 24 hours a day! 2) Supermarkets have a lot of stuff - Check. This is a very big Wellcome and it indeed, has a lot of stuff. Great one stop shop for all your reasonably priced grocery and prepped food needs, like sushi that goes on discount after 6ish. They've also got a household items section near the back in case the sole falls off your cheap ass shoe at 2AM and you need super glue stat. 3) Supermarkets are efficient - NO. NOT CHECK. How is it that at 6pm on a weekday, when the amount of shoppers is at an all time high, half the counters are closed? And how is it that the cashiers can see lines stretching almost all the way to the back, and they're still scanning items at the most leisurely pace possible? HOW IS IT THAT I CAN SPEND 2 MINS PICKING OUT MY DISCOUNT SUSHI AND 40 MINS IN LINE TO PAY FOR IT. I have never NOT had to wait at least 20 mins in line at this location. There are multiple stores in Macau and from what I could tell, the prices were the same even if you were closer to the ferry. There are boxes of cookie, jerky, etc samples throughout the store and the employees are typically a little pushy to get you in and looking around. I think it's because that's half the battle. Once you're in and you try a sample, you'll walk out with full yellow bags of goodies! Highly recommend: Walnut and peanut brittle which was very light and crunchy vs the American version that feels like you're going to break your teeth! At $15 USD for a generous size box and gorgeous packaging, it was a great souvenir. We got packaged jerky instead of the fresh jerky that you can buy by the pound. The employee said it was the same but the packaged ones come in little 2" sealed chunks. Instructions say to heat it up prior to eating which resulted in a smoky microwave and super hot napalm covered jerky. Pineapple cakes: get the big box. Tender and almost crumbly cake / cookie outside and pineapple filling; you can see the chunks of fruit! Absolute perfection. Shortbread cookies: comes in multiple flavors. My son loved the chocolate chip the best. Some of the packaging at Kee Wah looks similar to Koi Kei but they are not the same. Both are good but Koi Kei is top notch. Can't wait to visit again!

One thing I do not understand is that the items in the HK Koi Kei is way more expensive than the Macau Koi Kei. I suggest you get it at Macau. Also the Macau Koi Kei is crazy packed full of people and HK Koi Kei is very quiet. I mean of course if you do not want to travel to Macau then you might as well get it here. I do enjoy their products!
