Wow I had such an amazing time with Chef Brian. He was so attentive to each group, great humor and made the experience top tier. I'd book a class with him everytime I come here. We were in the sushi & dumpling class. 10/10 I'd recommend to all friends and family.

(Overall: F) - As part of a group adult cooking course, we previously experienced a journey that was supposed to encompass a taste of Thailand. Unfortunately, I think this title is actually rather disrespectful toward Thailand as all the recipes and techniques taught in this class completely miss the point of Thai food. The main dish is the iconic pad thai, a classic American favorite. Just from listing the ingredients, this dish is rather problematic as there were so many substitutions made to the dish that there are actually less authentic ingredients than the number of substitutions. For the one truly authentic ingredient, the rice noodles, even somehow got deformed into 1 inch sticks for some reason. Furthermore, this dish is fundamentally designed for a wok, trying to incorporate heat from the wok to add char to the dish -- which directly contradicts the instructor to instruct people to not even cook on the highest heat setting using a metal pan. The chicken satay is surprisingly tender, but once again is for some reason baked instead of charred on a grill, which significantly hinders flavor development. For the summer rolls, there was a significant missed opportunity here. Thai food is known for bold flavors through a variety of fresh herbs and spices, which does not add complexity for a cooking class -- yet, instead the rolls were instead left with only raw, bland vegetables which is more in line with the taste of an American veggie platter than anything Asian-related. In terms of technique and teaching, I will acknowledge the focus on emphasizing safety first. Beyond safety, I genuinely question the skills taught in this class. For example, the chef instructed us to cut the carrot and red cabbage into two inch strips. It could not possibly be enjoyable for anyone to bite into such a big chunk of unseasoned and hard vegetable. It does not appear that cutting into smaller strips would be a significantly more difficult task. While I would definitely say that I have skills above average, there are just fundamental flaws in this class that make me genuinely question the teaching. ----- Disclaimer: as always, my review solely reflects my personal experiences with the culinary establishment itself and do not reflect the views of or about associated parties.

Fun experience - around $110 per person! Went this weekend with friends and we had a good time. Staff was very nice and keep us informed on proper way to cut, slice, etc. they give everyone aprons and it's BYOB. Food was just ok- we made kale salad, gnocchi in a safe brown butter sauce and chocolate biscotti. Not my choice of menu but overall fun experience.

This is the PERFECT place to bring a date. It seemed like everyone here was either with their significant other. With that being said, I came here with one of my best buds and still had a great time. We were paired up with a couple who turned out to be some really awesome people. We joked, laughed, celebrated each other on, and became friends. Our cooking instructors were Chef Emily and Chef Ashley. They were both super engaging, helpful and patient. They taught us all how to make general tso's chicken, pork dumplings, and even fortune cookies, all from scratch. The fortune cookies were really cute as we all wrote down a fortune of our own, which someone else from the class received. All in all, a very fun and different activity, which I really enjoyed.

Taste buds kitchen was a designated trip for me to plan for my kindergarten scholars which was a white success. The place is downs town in a building you would have not expected to be in. The pace is self is cute , friendly and welcoming. The staff here was accommodating especially since we were late. They attend to our kids and have them great activities to do while the pizza was cooking. We also found out they do private parties and ones for adults as well. Definitely recommend this place for school trips!

I attended a Sunday night Handmade Pasta class with a friend, and neither of us have ever made pasta from scratch before. We came into the class with open minds, and when we arrived, we were directed to a table, provided with aprons, and given some time to get drinks and get ready for the class. The class was BYOB and wine glasses were provided. Since we were a group of 2, we were paired with a couple into a table of 4. At first, I was a bit nervous that could dilute the experience / we wouldn't get to cook much, but those fears quickly dissolved as there was plenty of work to go around. The style of the class was such that for each step, we watched a demonstration and then returned to our tables to repeat the steps ourselves. We had a chance to use pasta machines and try out a few different attachments. The end result of the class was absolutely delicious! We made two kinds of ravioli (spinach ricotta and butternut squash), fettuccine, and sauce to top them off. The hard work paid off when we all ate dinner, and it was the best pasta I've ever had! My one piece of feedback is that sometimes they could have explained more WHY we were doing each step to promote deeper understanding for when I replicate it at home. However, I feel like I came out of the class understanding how to make my own pasta, and they sent me home with the recipe so I can do it again!

Came here for a french countryside cooking class and it was fun! Our instructor was knowledgeable and humorous, and the rest of the crew was very efficient at dispensing ingredients and cleaning up. Our table really enjoyed the food we made, especially the potatoes for some reason (butter. It was the butter.) I'm not sure if they offer classes of different levels of difficulty/complexity, but I would rate the class more elementary than intermediate. Nonetheless, it's a great small group activity with friends!

The instructor was amazing in teaching us how to make Thai food. She walked around and interacted with us. The staff was nice and respectful. The food came out really good.

Went for a work outing! We made Indian food and had a big group probably around 30. I don't remember our hosts name but she was incredible. They do like different sabotage methods and interactive experiences. We don't get much time to be with each other so this experience made everything that much better. I would deff recommend this for any company outing. The food turned out great.

Great experience with colleagues. We cooked fettuccine with pasta sauce, squash & spinach ravioli. I would rate our cooking 6/10 lol but the Instructions and workers were 10/10 and very helpful.

I'll start by saying that I attended this class as a part of a bachelorette party with a group of girls who know their way around a kitchen. For us, this class seemed fairly elementary but we enjoyed the ambiance and I actually think this would be great who has little to no background with cooking. This was a fun interactive group activity. The class itself is BYOB. They provide all the food and utensils from there. The head teacher walked through the courses step by step- chopping, stirring, etc. - it was all explained well and enthusiastically. They cleaned the stations between courses and walked around to provide pointers. There were some groups that appeared as though they had limited cooking knowledge and they seemed to be having a blast as well! Would recommend for novice home cooks. Take a bottle or two of your favorite wine and wear comfortable shoes as you will be spending most of the class on your feet. The evening classes means you'll eat a late dinner so would recommend a snack perhaps before you go. Love the idea.

I came here with my boyfriend and we had the best time ever.. the instructors were extremely helpful and brought up the exact measurement of what we would need and helped everyone along the way. I feel like this was the best cooking class I've ever went to! I believe it's a 3 hour class but the time goes so fast!! In the end your allowed to just hangout there and eat your food. we attend a pasta night class and made spinach and regular spaghetti. It was really romantic honestly. Not to mention it's BYOB ;)

An overall atypical and amazing experience!!!!! The building itself is a bit off and they are currently under construction but don't ever judge a book by its' cover. The 10th fl (where the class is found) is clean and beautifully lit! If you live in NYC, you can agree that there's not much to do besides the traditional food + bar scene. This event is perfect for date night, girls (or boys) night out, a family event or even a solo event. My best friend surprised me with the "Tasty Thai" class for my birthday! Mostly because I LOVE THAI and I'm a "huge" fan of cooking. BEST. BIRTHDAY. GIFT. EVER. There are groups of 4 so we were paired with 2 other people; at first we felt this would be a bit weird but they ended up being so nice!!! The 4 of us had a BLAST especially since this is BYOB. The class is easy to follow and all of the ingredients are already set before you. The chef/instructor is so attentive, informative and helpful. I really, really, enjoyed this class. She even showed you how to use the knife and easy ways to cut the veggies. The food was absolutely amazing (YUP, I COOKED THAT). At the end of the class, there's a "thank you" card with a recipe for a microwavable cup-cake. . I tried it as soon as I got home and I must say it was also so easy to follow and so good!!! If I could give this class more than 5 stars . . . I WOULD! A must try ! Worth every single penny.

The ambiance was intimate and just perfect. Both Kevin and Cesare were working the room, interacting with guests while taking orders and running food.
