Great new and used restaurant store. Locally owned by the same couple for over 40 years in the same location. Family photos hang on the wall and taped to the cash register. Picture of the owners when one of them had red hair and the other jet black. A copy of Time Magazine with Huhammad Ali on the cover sits on the filing cabinet behind the counter.
I went in looking for silicone high heat baking liner and a nut cracker, of which I found both at a good price. The owner knew exactly where they were at and got them for me immediately. Afterwards I wandered the store looking around.
One has to really think three dimensionally when looking around the store because there is so much to choose from. Not only in the shelves but also hanging from the ceiling. One has to look down low and up at the ceiling to see everything in the store.
I found glasses from an art and wine festival from 1997, which I thought was very cool. There was an angle coffee cup with wings and all that I was so tempted to purchase just because of the uniqueness of it but decided against it.
There was also everything one would need to open any kind of restaurant business from cinema popcorn to stoves. There were home to industrial mixers. A business owner could go into this place and trick out their bakery to diner in this place.
I will say this place is hipster cool with it's old school charm. For the kitchen area it has everything you'd want. For the dinning area it's more of a diner level instead of a high end restaurant. For the home baker and cook it is everything you'd want.
They even will sharpen your knives. Speaking of that, they have a very nice restaurant knife selection. It isn't your high end home stuff, but restaurants or butchers aren't going to be using Henckels knife ($190). They sell knives that will be used every day in a dinner or restaurant.
This place sells what people in the business will need and the home cooks want. Being in business for 40 years tells you they know what their target market needs and wants. read more
