Say what?! Caliber Collision and the insurance adjuster missed the items which would have totaled the vehicle, and now neither of them accept responsibility. Oh, it's my fault that they didn't fix everything. Caliber Collision and State Farm commit fraud and blame it on me. Good luck getting this State Farm branch to fight on your behalf. The vehicle should have been totaled to begin with and they missed it. So because they missed it, now it's my responsibility to fix. If I could rate ZERO stars I would. Worst experience ever. I have been a customer of State Farm Insurance for around 40 years. I received a notice a few…read moreweeks ago that State Farm was not renewing my Homeowners insurance due to "Claim History". On their termination letter, they listed the offending claims. The first was a payout of $0.00 and the second was a payout of $289.00 I immediately contacted Amos Baca who has been my agent for over 15 years. Their office said that the decision was from their underwriters and not from them and unsuccessfully tried to appeal the decision. I should add that my rating applies more to State Farm corporate than to Amos who did what he could to try to appeal it. This decision of theirs is based on the fact that the two claims I had (one of which should not even count since they paid out $0.00) within a year. Not making any allowances for the zero dollar claim and for the longevity of my association with this company in unconscionable. I am now moving all of my insurance to a new company and will never do business with State Farm again. I strongly recommend avoiding this company altogether. Look at how they are treating homeowners in Colorado who were affected by the Marshall Fire. This company used to be a "good neighbor" but now this "neighbor" figuratively shit on my lawn. State Farm is a bunch of greedy crooks.

The bottom line from a "real" Yelper is that Steve is the best agent in the insurance business, bar none! Steve cares more about you as a person and not just a number than most of your friends and family do. He makes certain that you have the proper coverages (and not any more than that!) even if he has to talk you out of things you don't need. He also makes sure you know how to deal with the adjuster, what to do, what to say, etc to make sure they don't screw you when there IS a claim. After moving to San Diego, I unfortunately, had to cancel all my policies with Steve because American Family isn't in California. But, just last week, in the middle of dealing with my current insurance company over a flood claim, I called and talked to Steve for almost an hour and got invaluable advice that is probably going to make sure I get my claim accepted. And this conversation happened even though I don't currently have ONE SINGLE POLICY with him right now! And that's the way he is with ALL his clients... I have heard him on the phone with many people. He just cares. And that is very unusual these days. I always appreciate his way of presenting the options so all decisions are mine, rather than him leading me in a certain direction to help line his pockets. I have learned so much from him over the years and always appreciate his willingness to share his knowledge. You can tell his long experience in the industry serves him well to speak with confidence and accuracy as he evaluates your personal situation and needs. And he is always incredibly responsive! Sometimes I call him with silly questions, but there have been times where Steve senses my anxiety about a situation (big hail claim, thank you Colorado) and always makes sure I have his cell number. I would never bother him on his personal time, but it's a nice touch for sure!
