I like the Summit! It's hard to believe it's been open 27 years! When it first opened it would be…read moreour "swanky" place of choice to meet up and to nosh! I recall the PF Changs being one of the first one's I had eaten at, and the Flip Burger was fun, too! When bridal dress shopping for my stepdaughter, we enjoyed a fun wine and cheese restaurant that has since closed. The Summit has always had a "big city," upscale vibe! Even though the Summit is much larger than Huntsville's Bridge Street Town Centre, I was excited when 10 years later, Bridge Street opened in Huntsville!! Summit and Bridge Street share a lot of retail places in common: Altar'd State, Anthropologie, Apple, Barnes & Noble, Bath & Body Works, Belk, Buckle, Chico's, White House/Black Market, Lululemon, Loft, Soma, and more. Huntsville also has many of the same restaurants as Summit. As far as outdoor shopping centers go, I think the Summit is nice and people rave about the views, which I never noticed, honestly. There also is a shortage of public restrooms and then there's traffic on 280....ugh!

The area is very clean and during busier seasons like Christmas, the area offers police to manage traffic. I do most of my shopping online now but I love to come to The Summit as a special treat to myself because it feels like just that when I visit one of their stores or restaurants. My favorite stores here include Belk and Sephora.

I would say this mall seen better days and I'm surprised it not shut down. Me and my best friend…read morehad time to kill and I wanted to check out a particular store. Luckily, we went doing the work and school hours because it wasn't hardly any people here, but I don't know if the mall be dead like this even on weekends. There's a few stores still open and a small food court and that's it. You'll come across malls rules displayed inside, but I doubt they're enforce.

Western Hills Mall is sort of the centerpiece of the city of Fairfield. Its an old, sort of run…read moredown place where there just isn't a whole lot going on. No real major department stores, none of the latest products, not too much of a food court. They've got a nail salon, a low end jewelry store, and one or two spots where you can get things to eat like chicken wings or hot dogs, maybe a burger or some fries. The food is unequivocally unremarkable, and the ambiance of the place just sort of screams, "you should leave this place". The mall is pretty small, and I think that the only actual national businesses there might be a Dominos Pizza, and a couple of Foot Lockers where you can find alot of shoes, but not really the latest ones. For insance, if you want the newest air max running shoes, you won't find them here. The mall sits next to an abandoned Wal-Mart, and has more parking than it will probably ever need, so that's good. They do have a variety of interesting things for sale at a few kiosks in the middle of the mall. I got myself a grill for just 20 bucks. Great deal. The redeeming factor here is that they've got a dominos pizza with great carryout specials. They've got grills for cheap, and they've got lots of parking. 1 star for each of those things.
