It appears that rather than using the correct Allen Head #4 wrench, they used some other bit head such that almost every structural screwhead is now stripped rendering them impossible to remove and almost impossible to tighten. In fact, several of the screws were very loose requiring multiple turns to fasten. As well, several of the side supports (using Phillips head screws) were also loose and insecure. If I were you, I'd request any furniture you purchase from Ego to be UN-ASSEMBLED as it is blatantly obvious that they do not know what they are doing in this regard. I spent 1 hour trying to fix the assembly to thus make the chairs sturdier. It is very likely that their lifespan would have been cut in half if not for my efforts to fix the shoddy workmanship. The staff and owner were polite and courteous.

But it wasn't the store, alone, that impressed me, it was the exceptional customer service received from Cheryl, an extremely congenial, conversational and charismatic cashier! Not only did she apply my coupon which brought me in the store in the first place, she added another discount coupon that was expiring that very day, bringing my complete purchase total down to darn near half-off! Service like THIS (received from Cheryl) speaks volumes to a man like me because so many neighboring department stores are staffed with unhelpful and unkind employees with more than enough attitude. If you ever wanted to furnish and decorate your house like Don Draper's apartment, this is the place to do it. We had been looking for old stereo cabinets for our turntable and record collection and JD Salvager had 2-3 pieces that fit the bill. They also have some that they restored and added Bluetooth connectivity to so you can listen to your Apple Music collection through a vintage cabinet. We spent about 2 hours in the place just admiring the collection. And the prices are more than fair for beautifully restored vintage pieces. Many of the pieces there are yet to be restored so you can have your say in how that is done.
