Fantastic customer service from the manager. If it wasn't for the lack of such skills by the cashier I would certainly give this location five stars. To make a long story short, we bought a gift card at this Target together with other merchandise. The manager was ringing us out and in the midst of it he switched with another employee. She didn't greet us and did not help us getting our bags. So we almost had to go around the register to get our bags. When we got home we realized we didnt get the gift card. We went back to the store and dispite the great amount if people at the store, the manager remembered us. He helped us get a new gift card and gave us a coupon for our next purchase for the inconvenience. Now, that is what I call customer service! read more

this target is good,I liked it,I personally think it's much better than the Wal Mart there because it's not as crowded as wal mart and I think everything is just better quality in targert then the wal mart there. read more

Horrible store. Manager Trish was no help. This store charged my debit card $770.67 for a purchase on Feb 5,2014, t5hat i didnt make. I never shopped there. I live in California. The store refused to put the money back into my debit account. Now i am broke and my family of 7 is starving. I gotta wait at least two weeks for my bank to investigate this fraudulent charge. Target wouldnt so much as provide a care package for my hungry family! You will be hearing from my lawyer! read more

I frequent this target 2-3 times a week. The selection is usually decent, and I appreciate the cartwheel app. However, I frequently dealt with cashiers who seemed like ringing anyone up (even me with a small basket worth of items) was a major inconvenience. No response to me saying hello, how are you, etc. Needless to say, I'm very happy that they installed the self-serve kiosks! read more

I stood on line for 20 mins to buy 2 little items. Open another register!!!! We will forget about that..... got to the register and was told they would not match a price on their own website at the register, I needed to go to customer service. So after a 20 min wait at customer service the employee told me they could of match it....... By the way the price match was less than $2 bucks. Don't bother with this place. They were more worried about putting re-shop back over customer service if there was 0 stars I would pick that. read more

Overcrowded during the day. Always looks like a tornado went through the shoe area. Props to other departments though. I would say 90% of the employees are not useful....or will help but only while dragging their feet and rolling their eyes. I'm sorry am I inconveniencing you...I thought this was your job. If you don't like it then maybe you should find something else....there are plenty of unemployed people that would love to have your job. People with family and mouths to feed. Ungrateful snobby brats you are. Employees in Levittown target much nicer. And much more knowledgeable and willing to help read more

This Target is huge and clean (and very crowded on a Saturday, but more pleasant than the neighboring Walmart). It must have been a Target Greatland at one point? read more

This has always been a better target but now that the Valley Stream one was renovated, the Westbury target is similar to it which isn't a bad thing at all. There is more of an upper class crowd at this one. I always have liked this location. They have a great clothing department here also. They have a full Starbucks store inside. Parking is fine here. Never any problems with this location. read more

I was shopping for toilet paper in the Westbury, NY store. I attempted to compare prices of different brands of toilet paper. I also compared different package choices within the same brand. I observed that the unit pricing was not consistent. Specifically, the same unit of measure was not being used to compute the unit price for the same commodity, namely toilet paper. An example: the unit price for a package of Scott Extra Soft toilet paper is .26 and the retail price is listed alongside as 6.29. However, the unit price for Charmin Ultra Soft Toilet tissue is 174.75 and the retail price is 6.99. In this example, it is obvious that different methods were used to compute the unit price of each of these commodities or a math mistake has been made. Unfortunately, these unit price inconsistancies were rampant thru-out the paper towels section and the toilet paper section in the Westbury store. In addition, the packages do not have any pricing labels on the bottom shelves. Also, the packages do not have the correct labels underneath the package while sitting on the shelf in many instances. I spoke to the manager about the issue. He remembered that I had made numerous complaints about this very same issue to him in previous months. He agreed that there were mistakes being made about unit pricing in the store but said he had no control over it. He said he had no authority to change anything concerning unit pricing. He laughed and said that I was still complaining about this to him over so many months and referred me to Corporate. In addition, he excused the mistake by saying that items on sale are subject to these errors. May I suggest that this excuse is unacceptable when the store misrepresents the unit price. Further, other items not on sale were also mislabeled with wrong unit prices shown. The final straw was when I asked the staff to assist me in determining which of the packages was the cheapest using the unit price as a guide. They all were stymied by my query and referred me to the Manager. When I asked the Manager to help me make the determination, he was stymied as well. Needless to say, I am totally frustrated at the stores inability to respond to my numerous complaints about unit pricing at the manager level. In summary, it is very important for a Target customer to have confidence in the pricing policies of this company. This concept is epitomized in their mission statement. It is essential that the customer have a true ability to compare prices accurately between brands and between packaging choices within brands. My experience was not that and this behavior needs to change. read more

Basically useless... After numerous experiences previous, we decided to call ahead to ask about the availability of a few particular products. The "customer service" person assured us that the items were in stock. We ought to have been leery, because she hadn't even put us on hold to visually check to see if the items were, in fact, there. Lo and behold, not to our surprise, we went to the store not only to find the items not present, there wasn't even a labeled shelf space for them. What B.S. Just getting to be a junk store. We won't waste our time again. This location lands wide of the target... read more

Worse worse worse customer phone service!!! I called back 3 times trying to get 1 question answered about returning gifts from my baby registry. The customer service representative kept forwarding me to a number that no one answered. Finally after 17 minutes or back and forth calling she let me speak to the general store manager. read more

Target.Com On-Line Sales Extremely unprofessional.. They take their time answering the phone when they do know the answer they put you on hold for an extended amount of time. I purchased a Allerease Naturals Twin XL mattress pad I spoke with a woman (Diana-Supervisor) she was unprofessionally/RUDE and would not refund or send me a target gift card after I purchased several items. My main concern was this product was suppose to be Chemical and pesticide FREE and the product was not any of this this is why people shop at Bed Bath & Beyond and spend the extra money. Target lies about their products and have very unprofessional people that work at the on line marketing. They try very hard to have people open up a Target Card and their products do live up to their standards. All their products are made in China and it is garbage. If you are looking for any bedding DO NOT buy it at TARGET...They LIE! read more

This has got to be the most most unfriendly customer service group and unprepared store in the Target family. Yes, it was Black Friday and it was busy. But the idea of Black Friday is to get people into the store to not only get their bargains but to also get them to shop around in the store. I had been to the Levittown store and had a fantastic experience. They had planned well and the staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Charles in electronics. I had also visited the Freeport store and again they they had planned very well and the staff went above and beyond. My third and last stop was the Westbury store where it was obvious that very little planning had occurred. The whole electronics department was closed off to everyone making it impossible to see if the products I was looking for were in stock. I was told to get in a line that run the entire length inside the store and when I got to the register they would let me know if what I wanted was still available. Speaking to some customers I was advised that they were in line for over an hour. One of the items I was attempting to buy was a phone cover. They would not let me look in the isle and I was instructed to get in line at the other end of the store. I spoke to someone who said that he was the electronics manager and he advised that this was the way all of the stores were set up. I know this was not true because of visiting the other stores just prior. I then went to speak to the store manager, and "Ryan" arrived and stated that she was the store manager. I advised her of my displeasure with the customer service and set up. She advised me that all stores set up differently, contrary to what the electronics manager stated. Blocking off the whole electronics department defeated the whole purpose of Black Friday day by not letting people browse and spend their money on other items. After not being helped by the apathetic staff/customer service, I left not being able to purchase an iPad, a tv and a phone cover. I left the store mad and frustrated and will not visit your Westbury store again. I completed my shopping elsewhere. In a busy store like Westbury you should have your top associates and management should have some sort of event planning training. 5 Thumbs down for this Westbury store. read more

I had the worst experience here ever. I went Christmas shopping here, when I got to the register the credit card machine was not working too good. The woman in front of me had an issue too, they tried it twice until it worked. When I tried to pay for my items it did not work. The cashier said very loud YOUR CARD WAS DECLINED. I told her to try again because as she can see with the prior customer the machine is not working well. It did not work again. She insisted it was an issue with my bank. She continued to try it all while saying very loud YOUR CARD WAS DECLINED AGAIN MAMM. The manager came over not knowing the situation and said call your bank! I told her it the machine, and she cut me off and told the cashier "you deal with this" then walked away. Leaving us standing there. It was so embarrassing. I have never had a situation like this happen before. I contacted my bank just for them to tell me it was the machine at target. This was not handled correctly at all. I was completely embarrassed and treated like if I were nothing by saying sol loud that my card was declined. I will never go this target location again. ZERO stars.. read more

The selection and layout is improving each year. We've shopped here for a long time and have seen the improvements with the overall store. However.....The biggest problem is the staff. Worst customer service, inattentive and sometimes rude and vulgar. Employees shouldn't be playing in the isles and cursing in a store filled with families and children. Parts of the store are not maintained well, like the restrooms and the area shared by Starbucks. And probably the most annoying thing is the lack of open registers during peak times. Over 20 registers and probably 3 or 4 open at a time. If they pulled from the employees playing in isles, they would have more cashiers. This is not from just one experience, but many experiences with many different employees over the past several months. The last four or five visits have been the same experience as above. I hope I can see improvements in the near future. read more

Lines can be very long at certain times. They usually have everything I come in for and is the main reason I like this store. Staff is ok, you may get someone who goes it's over there to someone telling you the exact aisle number. Store is pretty clean for the volume of customers that passes through. read more

I love Target, but this location is awful. Selection/stock is low compared to other Target locations; it's like pulling teeth to find someone to help you; cashiers are occasionally friendly but usually sour-faced, texting on their phones, or once one even tried to steal my $5 promo gift card and lie about it; there is ALWAYS a line to check out; and the store pickup section cannot get their act together. Target corporate needs to reevaluate their hires/training at this location!!! read more

do alot of my shopping here!! i know this store layout by heart!! nicer than walmart to me

I called this target to confirm something was in stock before I went all the way over to the store. (I live about 15 min away) and after waiting on hold for several minutes I was bounced back to the operator who put me on hold again. Once someone finally found my product I asked to place it on hold. The girl said "sure - they'll mark it, thanks" and went to end the conversation. When I prompted her with shouldn't I leave my name she told me no and when I questioned how I was going to pick it up and where she went "oh yeah I guess let me take your name". She told me go to guest services and they will "know what to do". When I went into the store I went to the aisle to get another item and saw my item but in another finish. ( I wanted espresso and they had cherry). I took the cherry to compare and went to guest services. When I got there the man behind the counter just simply told me that they didn't have my product and the girl tried to call me back to let me know but "couldn't find me". Does target have caller ID?!? I told him that they did in fact have it since it was in my cart. When we asked that he look for the other finish since 1) the other target told us they had it and 2) they had said they did on the phone he did and said they didn't. If it was that simple I am not sure why the rude girl on the phone couldn't have done that. read more
