The target in Watertown is quite large and in a great location near many other shops right off the interstate/highway. The selection of zero sugar soda was great! We went to the board game and card game section after a release for Magic the Gathering where a new set came out, and people were almost fighting over them! I don't remember seeing a sign, but apparently it was 2 packs of Magic Cards per person, however I didn't find out until we got to the register and I was awkwardly demanded to give back everything but two. read more

Target pulled out of Canada several years ago, so whenever I'm in the USA I like to visit a Target for old time's sake, lol. In my opinion, Target is like a nicer Walmart. They sell the same sort of things and their prices are similar, but I find Target neater and better organized than Walmart and generally a nicer shopping experience. I really liked the natural cosmetics section at this location. They had a big selection of Pacifica products, which is one of my favourite brands. Like all Targets, there's a Starbucks inside. This Target is in the Towne Center at Watertown shopping complex. Lots of free parking. read more

In October 2024, I went to the Target in Watertown and found it to be in a state of incredible filth and disorder. There were no cashiers available, so we were forced to use a self-checkout. Then, I was made to go back to a cashier even though I had scanned everything. The staff was very unpleasant and I absolutely do not recommend this Target. read more

Went to Target just because, cause I mean who doesn't Target. My son even loves Target and it is a weekly request to just go to Target. This Target has a Starbucks inside like most Targets do. The line was fairly long but the staff seemed to have it under control. "Bullseye's Playground" formerly known as "The 1 Spot" was well kept and organized. There didn't seem to be items just thrown anywhere like in some Targets, this made it easy to shop through. The store was clean and the staff was friendly. The shelves were stocked for the most part. Checking out seems daunting walking up because the line hangs out into the main aisle. However, the line moved quick and I think it looks long because of the social distancing that is enforced. There was self checkout and there was 1 regular line open. I opted for self checkout. New York State has stopped using plastic bags and resorted to paper bags, however they strongly encourage bringing your own reusable bags into stores. As you have to pay per paper bag if you want to use them. But Target , Target is really top tier! They provide FREE reusable bags for you to use at your disposal! The bags are small and can't fit much but who cares, they are free and you can help yourself to as many as you need (want) and the staff makes sure to mention this when using self checkout. I'll be using these bags to do my Target shopping in VA cause we will probably NEVER see these . read more

Shelves were empty and whatever was in inventory was junk. I'm not sure why there is Target hype but this store was a huge disappointment.

This department store seems pretty large and carries a wide variety of items. It's clean and the people are pretty friendly. The store isn't in disarray because of the mess left behind by customer that will never be cleaned. The staff do a good job of keeping this place pretty clean. It's looks to be a class up from Walmart (sorry I don't go to Targets often) which means you might miss out on some of the sketchy people that shop there! read more

Maggie in customer service was exceptional today. When I walked in to do a couple returns I noticed the line was four or five people deep. Planning on waiting, I settled into the line and chatted with other customers also in line. Maggie was going zip zip zip through that line that I blinked and it was already my turn. She was the perfect balance of friendly and focused. She processed my returns no problem and even through the PPE mask she shared a smile and a "have a great day". Used to go to Walmart to do most my shopping BG recently switched over to Target. One thing that made it more appealing to shop at was the staffing. They are very professional, very knowledgeable on where everything is and what it is, and they even greet you whenever they pass you! I mean having staff run your store makes the customers want to come back. The store itself is well maintained. First off it's clean and well organized to find everything. Even the public rest rooms are very clean. Usually you go into super stores and public rest rooms are mostly nasty, something you try to stay away from, but I was even impressed with the cleanliness at Target. Yeah I know it's just a "bathroom", but it's the little things that can also make a difference! read more

I have had the pleasure of dealing with the Consumer Cellular men in their department as well as the young man in the electronics department on two separate occasions with the last experience today ( 12/30 ) around 11:30 am. They were so very helpful and with an outstanding personality. The Consumer Cellular guys were Desmond and Richard and they helped me get a new phone. Being an advanced senior citizen they were so patient and careful in explaining the new phone. They went the extra mile to ensure I understood all about the phone.The other young man, I did not get his name that handled the cash register in electronics helped my wife get a printer cartridge and did so with extreme patience and accuracy and even suggested a cartridge with more capacity which help us not making excess trips to Target- we have a 60 mile ride to get to and from Watertown. I want to thank them for such a wonderful experience the two times we made the trip. read more

This was my first Target experience, being that I'm Canadian and our newly built Target in my home city of Kingston, ON hasn't opened yet. I am thoroughly impressed with Target. There's a Starbucks when you enter the store, clean and tidy washrooms, free wifi throughout the store (!!), and a very well organized and pleasant atmosphere to experience. I systematically walked all the aisles to take everything in (so much to see!), and I found a few good clearance items in various departments before taking a deep dive into the clothing section. There were a lot of clearance racks to go through and it's clear that the dressing room in the women's clothing section is a busy place - the woman working the changeroom was a bit harried with lots of rejected items to sort through, but seemed to be managing things very well. I'm looking forward to returning here or visiting any other Target I come across! read more

Worst target I've ever been to. They have the same line (1 line combined) for people doing returns and self-checkout. It is annoyingly inconvenient and just plain stupid. It confused a lot of people and while waiting in line I had to tell a lot of people that they can go on ahead as I'm doing a return and not using self-checkout. Again it is so inconvenient and just dumb for somebody going in the store to do a return but still have to go in line with people actually checking out. read more

I usually LOVE Target, but this store has really changed my mind. So much so that I won't be shopping there any more! First, I have noticed several times that the advertised price in the aisles is not reflected at the register. Of course, I don't recognize that I've been overcharged until I look at the receipt when I get home. Second, I was there last week and used the restroom. It was worse than any gas station or rest stop bathroom that I've ever been to (and I've seen some bad ones). I can't believe how terrible it smelled. And it's right near the entrance...what a great odor to welcome people to the store!!??! Gross. read more

I love this store. The employees are very friendly. If they begin to get a tiny line at the registers new ones open immediately. I wish there was a little bit larger selection of items, but that happens in small towns. Their prices are most of the time cheaper than Walmart and you don't have to deal with all of the ridiculous crowds. read more
