Really nice Target. Clean. Has A Starbucks. A nice Starbucks, and the girl at the counter was extremely friendly. I don't live in the area, but if I did, I wound come here often. Very nice place. I wish the Targets near me were this nice.

Target is a phenomenon. The merchandise is hip, durable, chic, affordable, edgy and attractive- personally I'm a fan of the home decor, a fusion of modern hip and stylish goods, so affordable you could lavish your home from head to toe for a fraction of leading retail prices. Your likely to find anything you could ever want or need at Target. The store is pristine, prices unbeatable, and merchandise quality - GO TARGET.

Is there a Monocultural Hair section too?

Where would my husband and I be without the MIT Furniture Exchange? Furniture-less, is the answer!…read moreThis is such an amazing resource for students. Since my husband and I moved to Cambridge five and a half years ago for his graduate program, we've acquired almost all of our furniture here - everything from a leather couch and armchair set in excellent condition for a reasonable $600 to a gorgeous Crate and Barrel kitchen table for a mere $40. We've also purchased bookshelves, end tables, lamps, desks, and more. Obviously by virtue of fact that the furniture is by donation, there are always going to be some ugly or low-quality items to weed through, but I'd say it's well worth the time. As has been noted, the hours are very limited: currently Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and the first Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. If possible, I'd strongly recommend arriving promptly at 10, especially on Saturdays: within 15 to 30 minutes of opening, often much of the best inventory has already been claimed.

Would have liked to make a contribution to the cause, but kind of a turnoff to ask for donations and exclude so many willing to donate. Strongly suggest going to other consignment stores.

I'll descibe my shopping experience for those interested…read more I came in with a very specific goal: to try out different Herman Miller office chairs (they're truly worth every penny) to see which would fit my body type best. My new year's resolution was to prioritize personal health, and I sit a lot for work so my doctor suggested these chairs. There's not a lot of places that have Herman Miller chairs in stock, and I definitely wanted to try them out in person to see which I liked best before purchasing one. I called ahead and told the associate I would be coming in to test the chairs. I arrived later that day, and the salesperson, Adam, had the different models ready to show and suggested a few that he thought would suit me best. Adam was fantastic- patiently showing me all the features and explaining the chairs' histories and main differences. I did not feel rushed or pushed in any way and it was a very pleasant experience. At the end I asked for a quote for the model, size, and specs I wanted and told him I would think it over. The quote came in a fancy envelope with a printout of the specs. 24 hours later I called and placed my order. About a week later the chair arrived (assembled) from their warehouse. I seriously think this is the best money I have spent in years. The only problem I have is I notice every other chair I sit in is heartbreakingly bad. I am very happy to have shopped at Design Within Reach, and it was exactly what I was hoping to get. I can't comment on other peoples' experiences (I wasn't browsing or casually shopping etc) but Adam and the rest of the staff were terrific.

My pupils dilate and my dart back and forth looking for new TREASURES whenever I walk through the…read moredoor of Reside. When shopping I'm playing defense against other patrons, eyeing what is mine ... scuttling around the shop like I'm Gollum mumbling "my precious ... my precious ... my precious .... " I love the people who run Reside -- Pam Watts and Colin Glatzel. They are so so so fabulous. (Sometimes I worry they find me rude as I have to do my scan of the shop before I can properly engage as a human being and say hello.) To me, Reside is an oasis in Cambridge. It's a little slice of NYC, New Orleans, Europe, Africa .... the merchandise is sourced from all over the globe, mostly hailing from the estates of artistically-inclinced and well-traveled beings. Visionaries with taste in abounds who bought things that were designed to last and got better with age. This spot isn't a stuffy antique shop or an insufferable MCM boutique ... it's a way of life and seeing the world. It's for people that don't want to live in a period film that want to mix pieces from varying periods, places, cultures so long as they are beautiful and striking in some intangiable way. It's more enlightened? Also ... the vibe is great. Reside feels like a community, it's where I can go and know I'll see a friend. It's like teleporting to NYC where I know I can share a story about something ridicilous and we can have a laugh. I've also been in awe of both Pam's and Colin's customer service skills. They are so kind, real, genuine, helpful, patient and caring. They remember what I'm looking for and call me when it appears! They help me make the world of my dreams! While in line to buy MY TREASURES I've often overheard patrons be ultra nasty and demanding and totally out of touch with reality to the propriators of this shop and it made my heart BREAK. Cambridge is filled with self-important, entitled, demanding human beings. When a city has such a high ratio of valevictorians and high-achievers who have been told they are THE BEST this is bound to happen. Colin and Pam handle these interactions with such professionalism. They don't bat and eye or complain. They move onwards and upwards. Whereas I'm standing there thinking "did that person really just say what I think they did?" thinking I'd have liked to swung a bat fand booted such bad manners into another zipcode. Come to Reside if you're a good person that loves beautiful things, good people and good manners and keeping it real. Also: Colin Glatzel should be doing interior design on the side. He's going to be a legend someday. Call him up and give him a shot and I'm sure his work will be divine.

We brought photos of the room, the rug, etc...and they were so helpful in choosing a fabric that brightened up the room! Our second recent project was an 1800's Victorian Corner Chair that was in the attic for years. I emailed Barry photos and he emailed right back with suggestions (to not refinish the wood as to keep the original patina) and a quote. We brought in the chair and Toni brought out various samples to choose from. The orignial silk was a teal/blue and she assisted us in finding a beautiful fabric. The chair was polished and looks just gorgeous. This family has the knowledge, the eye and the professionalism you need! And they are very responsive and super friendly. Before and after photos of both projects are below. BTW the photos don't do them justice. We are anticipating another project...soon! Thank you to Barry, Toni and the entire family!

We were looking to replace the mattress on a wooden futon that we use as a sofa and guest bed, and Bedworks not only had a fantastic selection at unexpectedly low prices, but they also avoided the biggest pitfall of furniture stores everywhere, which is the pushy hard sell. They were knowledgeable and helpful, and let us spend all the time we needed going from one couch to another trying out the mattresses without bugging or pressuring us. And instead of recommending the slightly expensive delivery option, they convinced us that we could fit our new mattress into the backseat of our little Honda, which meant that we could start using our gorgeous new mattress days sooner than I thought we would. The futon covers and throw pillows they sell are lovely but expensive, and the cover we bought ended up costing almost half as much as the mattress itself.
